Osinbajo has no business contesting in 2019. Ditto Buhari...

It is both morally and politically unjust to do that. But if he decides to run, I guarantee that he will suffer the heaviest defeat in our political history.

I don't know about you but it won't change anything with me.... I believe in doing what is right and Just.... and Christianity preaches that (don't mind some so-called Christians who act hypocritically... it doesn't diminish the central and whole message of Christianity).

So no regrets for me. I am convinced and not in this race because of some scary "you will go to hell if you do bad" story......

I believe in Love, Justice, Empathy and Many more fantastic virtues.

But uhmmmm.... to some others I ask, "What if Hell, Heaven, Jesus, God and even Satan actually exists, Will you regret living a lawless life or life lived anyhow without guiding principles?"

Consider this a "return serve" in tennis.... wink

Truth is, Boko harams are still around as much as they were during the time of GEJ. Likewise their capacity hasn't diminish as the Buhari government is trying to show us.

What I notice is that the media have not really been reporting about them and their activities as they were doing during GEJ regime. More like it was all propaganda to oust jona, which they succeeded in doing. Because if not, with the success claim the government have been claiming since they came around, there ought not to be any ragtaged book haramists out there. Its two years already and they are still killing our soldiers. Who's is fooling whohuh
God will bless you for saying the truth as it is. We have been saying this all along but they called us wailers and still do.

The situation is bad but the media under this government is seriously underreporting the activities of boko haram. All the shouting during the era of Jonathan was just to push him out by all means.

Imagine boko haram being able to overrun an army battalion and seizing all their heavy equipment. O can tell you many soldiers were killed in the attack but they are hiding the true figures. The thing is so bad that I personally know soldiers that have died in boko haram attacks.

Don't let sarrki or omenkalives see you ooo.

There's so much injustice in this country.

Why is it that the Nigerian army is always very quick to respond to IPOB, shooting down unarmed protesters but have been able to do absolutely nothing about the heavily armed Fulani militia aka herdsmen?

IPOB has not gone about destroying farms, raping women, sacking communities and occupying their lands.

Why is so much energy being channeled to IPOB while the AK 47 wielding demonic Fulani herdsmen are allowed free hand to operate?

PoliticsThe March Of The Ethnic Nationalists And A Friendly Warning For The British-ffk by attacker321(op): 3:09pm On Apr 08, 2017
In 1941 during the course of the Second World War, the most famous alumna of my old school Harrow and the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Sir Winston Churchill, said the following words to General Bernard Montgomery, who was also known as the “Spartan General”, the hero of the Battle of Alamein, the Commander of the famous British Desert Rats and the Field Marshall of the British Armed Forces. He said,

“Monty, never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy”.

These are powerful and inspiring words from one of the greatest leaders that the world has ever known. Today I share those words and sentiments with every Nigerian who yearns for freedom from the bondage of ethnic slavery and religious bigotry and who believes that the only way forward is to restructure or redefine Nigeria.

Those of us that have these noble aspirations will “never yield to force” and we will “never yield to the apparantly overwhelming might of the enemy”. Like Shakespeare’s Macbeth we shall be “bold, bloody and resolute” and if necessary we shall “fight until the flesh be hacked from our bones”.

No matter what comes our way we shall be encouraged, we shall walk tall, we shall stand firm and we shall stand strong. This is because our cause is just and even though our enemies may have today, we know that tomorrow belongs to us. Again even though the night may be dark, we know that joy comes in the morning! Whatever the powers that be in Empire Nigeria throw our way we shall not bow and we shall not be cowed. Like our Lord and Saviour and Commander in Chief, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Son of the Living God once did on the cross two thousand years aģo, for the glory that lies ahead, we shall take their taunts and insults, bear their horrendous persecution, endure their malevolence and wickedness and despise the shame. We shall stand our ground, hold our heads up high, fight a good fight and, by the grace of the Living God, in the end, we shall prevail. We draw strength from the fact that we are not alone in this struggle. Others that have also suffered injustice and the most brutal form of subjugation and repression from their oppressors have similar hopes and aspirations as ours. Consider the nation of Scotland.

Her people are yearning to have another referendum on whether or not to leave the United Kingdom in 2018. When Nicola Sturgeon, the leader of the Scottish Nationalist Party, announced their intention I did not hear Theresa May, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, throw insults and threats at her or accuse her of treason. I did not hear the French government or the French Ambassador to the UK telling the Scots that they would never be allowed to have their way and that they should perish the thought of Scottish independence. Yet when it comes to the affairs of Nigeria it appears that everyone feels that they can tell us what to do. For example Denys Gauer, the French Ambassador to Nigeria, recently said that those that were agitating for Biafra were indulging in an exercise in futility and that they would never achieve their dream or ambition. What a sad testimony and sorry tale this is. It appears that the man knows little about the deep resolve of those who are fighting for their freedom and frankly he needs to learn a thing or two about the history of his own country before he pontificates to us about ours.

His unsolicited counsel is both misguided and inappropiate and we completely reject it. The French people, since the days of the Great Revolution of 1789 and bold leaders and reformere like Maximilien Robespierre, Jean-Paul Marat and years later, the greatest of them all, Napolean Bonaparte, have always prided themselves on being the friends of the subjugated and the deprived.

They have always been the champions of liberty and freedom. They have always resisted oppression and tyranny. They must not stop now. To make matters worse Paul Arkwright, the British Ambassador to Nigeria, threw his hat into the ring as well and said that the United Kingdom “would not allow” Nigeria to break up. Such ill-conceived pomposity, self-serving clap trap and what the great writer and historian David Icke describes as the “arrogance of ignorance” has no place in the post-colonial world. Simply put Arkwright, and all other “Englanders” that think like him, ought to remind himself that Nigeria is no longer a British colony. In any case given the consequences of Brexit and the strong agitation for Scottish, Welsh and even Northern Irish independence it appears to me that the British Ambassador would do better by trying to ensure that the United Kingdom itself remains together rather than attempt to tell us what we “will be” or “not be” allowed to do in Nigeria.

He would also do well to remember that the days of “Rule Brittania” are long over, that the “Great” has been taken out of “Britain” and that the evil amalglamation and unworkable contraption that his forefathers forced on us in 1914 is fast unravelling as a consequence of the hideous atrocities, sheer cruelty and sociopathic meglomania of those that they imposed on us as our internal colonial masters. The bottom line is that the destiny of this nation will be determined by the people of Nigeria and no-one else.

Whether the Ambassador of France, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom or anyone else likes it or not the world is fast changing. The philosophy, ethos and culture of ethnic nationalism is gaining ground and pride of place. Nothing terrifies the hegemonists, the internal colonial masters and the ‘born to rule’ conquerors in Nigeria more than this because Yoruba, Igbo and Ijaw nationalism coupled with the quest for southern and Middle Belt emancipation is their worse nightmare. The glorious march of ethnic nationalism, the desire to break the yoke of internal colonialism, slavery and bondage, the agitation for self-determination and the quest for a fundamental restructuring of Nigeria or, failing that, the establishment of new and independent nation states to replace her is at an all-time high.

And so is the determination of the various ethnic groups and nationalities to resist oppression, subjugation and tyranny and defend and protect the interests of their people. If anyone doubts that they should speak with the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), the Oodua Liberation Movement (OLM), the Oodua Nationalist Coalition(ONAC), the Movement For The Actualisation Of The Sovereign State Of Biafa (MASSOB), the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the Ijaw Youth Congress (IYC), the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), the Middle Belt Youth Forum (MBYF), the Southern Kaduna People’s Union (SOKAPU), the Ombatse Militia Group (OMG), the Tiv Cultural and Development Association (TCDA), the Berom Militias, the Tiv Militias, the Zaar militias, the Jukun militias, the Ngas Militias, the Nigerian Christian Falange (NCF), the Sons of Gideon (SG) and numerous other groups that are not only well-motivated, well- organised and well-equipped but also highly focused and committed to their cause and ready to defend the interests of their people no matter the price that may have to be paid.

I sincerely hope and pray that it never happens because I deplore violence and I am a man if peace but if push ever comes to shove and there is a showdown, the Nigerian Armed Forces and security agencies, the Fulani militias and herdsmen and Boko Haram will have a very hard time containing the fury and power of any or all of these groups. I say this because it is not the size of the dog in the fight that counts but rather the size of the fight in the dog! (TO BE CONTINUED).

SEXUALIZATION OF SCHOOL CHILDREN

By

Sonnie Ekwowusi

Have you bothered for once to peruse through your children’s school textbooks? I know you are a very busy parent working round the clock to put food on the table for your children. I equally know that you have employed some housekeepers to look after your children on your behalf. But I strongly suggest that you should make out a little time this week, even if it is only for ten minutes, to go through the pages of the textbooks used by your children in their respect schools. If you do so, you will likely be scandalized by what you would find inside the textbooks. When you were in secondary school English literature books such as Macbeth, Julius Caesar, Weep Not Child, Things Fall Apart, Zambia Shall be Free, The Man Died, African Child, Akin the Drummer Boy, Mine Boy, The gods are not to blame, Gulliver’s Travels, Around the World in Eighty Days, Allan Quatermain,  King Solomon’s Mine, Eze Goes to School and others, were probably the recommended English literature books.

But let me tell you something that you may find interesting. The world has changed. We now live in a perverse world that lays claim to the soul of your children. Almost all the aforesaid English literature books that were read in your school days have been removed from the curricula and replaced with sex-related textbooks and English literature books. These textbooks and English literature books containing lewd subject-matters have been introduced into the curricula to give the unsuspecting young school pupils the wrong impression that self-control is unnecessary, repressive and an impossibility; that casual sex makes them feel good; that they should engage in casual sex before marriage; that ‘safe sex’ is what to aim for in life provided that they don’t get pregnant. And if they do get pregnant they should procure abortion as soon as possible.

One of the speakers at the Regional World Congress of Families held at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Victoria Island, Lagos, from March 27 to 29 2017 was Ahmed Akanbi. Ahmed is a parent and a Lagos-based legal practitioner. Midway in his presentation, Ahmed did something which shocked most of the Conference participants. He carefully dipped his hands into his handbag and brought out two English literature books containing some lewd subject-matters and showed them to the participants. He told the participants that the two books were recommended books for primary six pupils in the primary school attended by his daughter. The title of the first book authored by Oyekunle Oyedeji is: Tears of a bride, while the second book written by Queen O. Okweshine bears the title: Precious Child.  According to Ahmed, his 9-year old daughter in Primary 6 came back home from school one day and engaged him in a conversation that bothered on some sex experiences. At first, Ahmed was utterly stunned. But after he had regained his composure he asked his daughter where she learned about those sex experiences. It was then that his daughter opened her mouth and narrated to him how their school teacher has been using the aforesaid two books to teach them how to practice “safe sex” and how to gain sexual pleasure. Ahmed read to the hearing of the participants some sexy portions of the two books. The participants rose to their feet in utter shock.

I have told Ahmed that beyond lamentation a law suit should be brought against the Federal Ministry of Education and others. The rot in Nigerian primary and secondary schools cries to high heavens for cleansing. The Federal Ministry of Education and other education regulatory and supervisory bodies in Nigeria are just too irresponsible. When Obigaeli Ezekwesili was the Education Minister she attempted to cleanse the rot. With the exception of Ezekwesili, no other Education Minister in recent times has done anything to resuscitate our comatose public schools. That explains why the Primary and Secondary school curricula in Nigeria have consistently been corrupted to include textbooks that contain lewd matters and other matters that appeal to the prurient interest in sex. For example, about fifteen years ago, some concerned Lagos parents brought a law suit against the Lagos State Ministry of Education and others at the Federal High Court over the corruption of Integrated Science to include lewd matters such as masturbation, wearing of condoms, teen contraceptives and others. Three years ago, a Lagos-based NGO sued the Federal Ministry of Education and others because  the New School Chemistry for Senior Secondary Schools    By:  Osei Yaw Ababio; Revised by: L. E.S Akpanisi Herbert Igwe ; Modern Biology for Senior Secondary School By:  Sarojini T. Ramalingam, revised by  Lucy I    Akunwa and J.BC Obidiwe and the New School Physics for Senior Secondary By: M. W Anyakoha PhD used in many secondary schools in Nigeria were smeared with the following watermark inscriptions: “I know that My Mother is a harlot and that my Father is a Kidnapper”,“I am a son/daughter of a  Harlot and kidnapper”, “I confess that my Family is bad, Evil, and a Disgrace to the Nation”, “My Parents Taught me how to love and smoke Indian Hemp, to kill and practice illegal things”.  There is also another book titled: Zumji and Uchennaallegedly used in Lagos schools which contained lurid sex stories and pictures aimed at making secondary school pupils sexually active. Even Mathematics and Social Science textbooks used in many Nigerian secondary schools have been corrupted to include lewd matters in order to sexualize the young students.

The rain that is beating us in Nigeria seems unstoppable simply because we don’t even know where the rain started beating us. We may be searching for a scapegoat at the National Assembly or in government circles forgetting that the most insidious irreparable damage is done in the life of our children who are supposed to be leaders of tomorrow. Yesterday the ample evidence of sexualization included the TV, music videos, movies, mobile phones and the Internet. Today it is the school and the school teacher. Even some parents regretfully contribute to the sexualization of their children in a number of ways. For example, some parents may convey the message that maintaining an attractive physical appearance is the most important goal for their daughters. But the most tragic is the introduction of sex-related textbooks or the so-called Comprehensive Sexuality Education or Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Right or Family Life Education or teen-sex education in schools without the consent of parents. Parents are the primary educators of their children. They are also the guardians of the morals of their children. Therefore a school or a teacher has no right to sexualize impressionable school pupils without the consent of their parents.

Despite work pressure, parents must be vigilant to ensure that the school is not sexualizing their children all in the name of sex education. The best sexuality education is the one taught by Daddies and Mummies at home. The sex education taught in schools is the biological sex education that only focuses on the examination of body parts and genitals that ultimately ends up sexualizing the school pupils. To promote the character of young people and by extension save the future, many countries, for instance, had spent all they have. Nigeria should do likewise. To destroy the character of school children is an unpardonable crime. School children constitute the real treasure of Nigeria. And the greatest crime anybody can commit is to destroy the treasure of the country.
