THE " KEKE" EXPERIENCE:-- A personal experience of the bad and ugly situation of the society. 21/0121. Part 3.

Looking downward was my earpiece hanging, the phone had been taken away!
From a distance, I could still see the ' Keke ' moving so fast like a rocket I guess and it was as if everybody in Terminus had a hand in my predicament, no bike man coming from either ways for me to alert , no car was coming, no 'keke' was coming and nobody was coming as well. I felt betrayed by everybody as if they knew and planned everything.
Immediately, I checked my beautiful 'Burberry' side bag and every of my stuff was in tact and my back pocket still contains the 3k I earlier kept there all to my amazement. Why my phone? I asked in my head.

Finally, a bike man was coming and I hurriedly stopped and jump on it and sat. " My phone, my phone ", I shouted and we chased at the 'keke' but then the guy had disappeared but as we got to the Adebayo traffic junction where the road splits into four different directions. Definitely , one wouldn't know which one to take. So, I gave up after a futile chase.
Everything happened mysteriously for me as I can't explain till this moment how everything happened within few minutes.

But something happened later that day ...

THE " KEKE" EXPERIENCE:-- A personal experience of the bad and ugly situation of the society. 21/01/21. Part 2.

The position where I was seated was a bit uncomfortable for me as the foot rest (carpet) which my feet rested on was scattered and not properly arranged. So, the rider gradually marched his brake and slowed down as if he was going to park by the road side and stretching his left arm towards the back seat where I sat and at the same time riding slowly, " dan dago kafan ka in dan gyara maka carpet kara ya zo ya fita ya Fadi ", he said in Hausa and I reluctantly raised my left foot while he arranged it. No one like myself would have ordinary thought something was going on, of course everything was normal to me. All these happened after we got moving, about 2-3 minutes.

Just before we got to Adebayo street traffic junction, the rider asked again; " ka ce Farin Gada za ka je ko ? " And I immediately opposed; " babu " and he said ; " toh ni Farin Gada zan je ". He began to slow down, I believed at that time that I mustn't be told to silently go down and board the right ' Keke ' to where I was going to or else, I'll end up in Farin Gada.
I opposed again in Hausa; " ama na ce maka ring road zan je ka ce in shigo, Yan zu Kuma ka ce Farin Gada? "
And he politely answered; " Yi hakuri ban ji da kyau ba ". Although furious but I had to go down.

Still vibing to my music via the earpiece and coming down from the ' Keke ' which had stopped already waiting for me to go down after rendering his apologies for his inability to hear me well when I earlier stopped him. I got down immediately and the ' Keke ' zoomed off, still with my music playing. About a few seconds after zoom off, I discovered my music stopped immediately as though blown by the wind into thin air. As I threw my right hand into my pocket to adjust the volume or possibly check if my phone had died, my hand travelled fastly and swiftly into my pocket without any obstruction.

THE "KEKE" EXPERIENCE:-- A personal experience of the bad and ugly situation of the society. 21/01/21. Part 1.

It was about quarter past the hour of twelve noon when the sun was shining directly above my head such that its illuminates my black African skin and produces a liquid on my face and forehead.
While standing at the ' Yan Taya ' junction with my earpiece stuck to one of my ears; the right one precisely and vibing to my favorite song of Chike ' beautiful people ' which was playing on replay for the past one hour and hung on my shoulder was my beautiful 'Burberry' side bag which an older brother bought for himself but I insisted I wanted it and of course my phone that was sitting comfortably in my right pocket with the earpiece connected to it.
There in the sun even as I was trying to stop a ' Keke ' and pointing towards the direction I was heading to. Though, talking to ' Keke riders' and telling them where you're going to seem to be a waste of time because the noise produced by other 'kekes' , cars and people's activities will not allow a smooth communication. So, the best communication skill is to point towards the direction one is heading to. Obviously one could tell how busy and noisy a place like Terminus could be.

After several attempts of waiting for ' Keke ', this good looking ' Keke ' stopped, it was clean as though it had just been washed with a pool of water. " Where are you going to? " He asked in Hausa, " Ring Road " I replied then he said; " come in ". As I innocently hopped into the ' Keke ' to join these two guys that were already seated behind as though they were passengers too, they were a perfect example of ' gentlemen ', one wouldn't suspect any suspicious thing or move.

We got moving, still with my earpiece stuck to my right ear and my phone firmly gripped to my pocket and thigh and still vibing to my music.

As I lay to rest,
Quietly and calmly in the darkest hour
When the chirping crickets produce their notes.
And billions of stars up above the roof;
They Produce a brilliant light.
And the loudness of silence fills the air.
Lost in the deepness of thoughts
And wandered in the wild dungeons of mine mind.
Thoughts so futile as war.
I wrestle with my inner self
To accept the gift nature has bestowed.
The furniture which I lay on
Seem to wage war with my flesh.
Defeat is all I see!
The night seem endless as
I lay, stand and walk,
All with no reason.

We had our times good and bad,
But oft times good!
For all the memories, I seal in my heart.
There, no man can steal and be glad.
Your images hung on the walls of mine mind for me to always stare and look
For no man can keep these two apart.

We had our times full of awe and laughter
But a few times mute
And not ready to utter any word.
These times all I do is, keep thinking about the hereafter.
How can I let go of this beaut?
A beaut that only a few can afford.

I saw you once and twice,
With a radiance that lights up my day.
I refused to fall, but then,
I realized falling was part of man.
I am man! I must fall!
You know why?
The impact of the gravity of your looks,
Overwhelms my soul.
And no part of me that can
Oppose the power of your looks
At a glance into your pupil.

Astonished! Words escape into thin air,
With body so cold and weak.
Lips become glued by the emptiness of words,
And legs become shaky
Like a tree about to be uprooted by a wind
From the Sahara.
Responding! Take my hand,
You who has fallen and arise.
Come with me and be appreciated too.
Keep loving and standing so strong,
Never to fall somewhere again.
