xreal: audacious:Tried all of em, I get the stated reply and nothing gets deducted from my credit. |
I can't seem to subscribe to any of the Glo data packages. No matter the package I choose I keep getting the message "Dear Customer, sorry you do not have sufficient airtime credit to complete this transaction. Please recharge and try again.". * I have enough credit for the packages before trying to subscribe so thats not the problem * I browse normally with the line (at 15kobo\kb), so that's not the problem either * Glo customer care was no help Anyone else have the same problem? or knows a solution? |
Whats the storage capacity and where you @? |
George_D:@ 4llerbuntu, George_D don appologise na and I'm sure when you're ready for FTA he'll hook you up with a 6meter Dish and the best HD, PVR capable, accepts all cards decorder on the market . So please let's forget that issue. |
George_D:@George_D No yawa ![]() |
Ayowumie:It's so easy to critisize security personnel, it baffles me how quick people are to accuse security personnel of not doing anything (especially by journalists). How do you know that security personnel ignored the warnings? (and don't tell me you got the info from our lazy "no verifying or investigating reports before publishing" journalists). If you know Abuja then you'll know that they detonated the bombs some distance from Eagle Square, this shows that at least some security measures where put in place to safeguard the venue of the independence parade (where the e-mails warned the bombs were planted), hence the inability of the perpetrators to plant the bombs closer for more effect. It's sad that newspapers and tv aren't even reporting about the security personnel who lost their lives in the blasts yesterday. or do people expect every car in Abuja to be checked for bombs? As someone pointed out, the US intelligence where well aware of a threat before 911. They even knew that planes were involved in the plot. Just like the british train bombings and countless other examples. You can't cover every where or everything at the same time. The bulk of the blame rests on the Government for not doing enough when the militancy started, the Amnesty programme is plagued by accusations of diversion of funds meant for rehabilitating of militants, e.t.c. It's sad that what we've been seeing on TV happening in other countries while thinking "Thank God I am a Nigerian, e no go happen here" is now happening here. Naija @50, hmmm! May the Soul of those that lost their lives yesterday rest in peace, and may the Almighty give their families the fortitude to bear the loss. |
George_D:@George_D My respect for you on this forum just went one step lower. I've mentioned before that I see the valuable contributions you make in the FTA threads. I guess you just don't know how to respect people's opinions and choices. I've followed the Official FTA thread right from day one, there are alot of FTA enthusiasts on nairaland that have contributed just as much as you have (even more) in the FTA threads and it's nice to see that most of them don't go slamming FTA down everyones throat. |
George_D:@ George_D I have a problem with your "lazy" statement. If I opt for DSTV, Startimes or any other paytv because I don't have the space (or my landlord won't let me mount a big dish) I'm lazy? Hell if I stick to paytv for any reason of mine then thats my bizness, I don't need an FTA enthusiast insulting me. You might not have meant it as an insult but I do feel insulted by that statement. Imaging the kind of insults I'll get if I posted on the FTA threads how great paytv is. Its kinda funny how FTA enthusiast are intolerant to does that prefer paytv and how they keep pestering non-FTA guys about FTA. We know that some of the channels we are getting are FTA, we know you can get CNN, BBC, Aljazeera, France 24, CCTV free on Nilesat, but then it's called choice and everybody's got one! |
Sheesh, where's a Mod when you need one? |
samir101ng:@samir101ng Glo showing 3.5g at Lake chad crescent, Maitama (has been showing for some months). You can try other areas of Maitama for your experiment ![]() |
4llerbuntu:@ 4llerbuntu Just a little correction: Google has nothing to do with MeeGo, it's a linux based OS championed by Nokia and Intel (i.e. a merger of Nokia's Maemo OS and Intel's Mobilin OS). Nokia said the N8 is going to be the last N Series device running the Symbian OS, with Meego taking over on future N Series devices. |
lynxnoon:Tell me about it, dem no go kill us! ![]() |
With the Nokia DVBH mobile tv headset (which should work on all symbian^3 phones) DSTV mobile should look awesome on either of those screens. I think I'll hold off on that HTC Desire purchase. Afterall HTC ma vex announce two Desire variants today. Chei!, choices choices choices. |
George_D: George_D:Oga George_D we get that you are an advocate of FTA. That's good and fine, but not everyone is into FTA (i.e. Big or small dishes, tracking, scanning e.t.c.) Startimes offers an alternative just like DSTV and HITV, if people choose to go with that then I believe you should respect their choice and not keep shoving FTA down everyones throat! There are threads for FTA and we all can see that you provide immense contributions on those threads, my point is this is a startimes thread so please give reasonable contribution or in your own words "Make we here word!". |
agitator:I don't see what all the hoopla is, they advertised 40 channels and two packages. The full package (which I guess is the 40 channels) at N1800, while a package with fewer channels at N1000. They have 33 channels now and are charging N1000 for them, how are they cheating customers? They've mentioned that when they add all the channels they'll introduce both packages and subscribers can choose which they prefer. I agree the repeatation and lack of a decent movie channel is annoying but hey, BBC, Aljazeera, Discovery world, ETV and MTV Base at N1000/month without need for a Dish is ok for me. (Advocates of FTA, no be everybody get space for Nilesat dish) |
Intoxicated- Jessey Jagz Wind am well- Ikechukwu (I'm guessing Don Jazzy made the beats) Forever- M.I. (jessey Jagz) Braggin' Rights- Freestyle (dunno who did the beats) |

cultey:Like sey na aboki miss one on one with goal keeper and the other miss open net! Abi na aboki sit down for ground inside his 18yard box while keeping an oposition player onside and proceeded to watch as that player scored the second goal. Keita messed up but we had our chance to take the lead, that was blown by Yakubu and Obasi! |
ChinenyeN:That's Naija for you, and everyone wonders why we can't move forward. Lazy journalists don't verify facts before going to print with stories, people gobble any gibberish that is thrown at them. When you say give me facts it's easier for them to rain abuses on you and say you are benefitting from the system or ignorant when it's they who are basking in ignorance. That's why we'll continue going in circles at 50 and beyond! |
George_D:Actually from the onset they mentioned that they'll have two channel packages; one for N1000.00 and the full package for N1,800.00. All the confusion about them won't have arisen if they just had a website where the information about them is readily available. Since they are in partnership with NTA why not just create a page on the NTA website for Startv info before they launch a dedicated website |

moscyt:Copying and pasting text on the Nokia 5800 depends on which application you are using. If you want to copy text from an SMS, press and (while holding down) drag over the text you want to copy, when you stop dragging a box pops up with copy as an option. Click this to copy the text you have selected. To paste the selected text, go to options, editing options and you'll find paste there. To copy text from Notes and other applications (e.g. Browser), press and (while holding down) drag over the text you want to copy. While the text is selected, go to options, editing options and you'll see the option to cut/copy. Pasting works the same way as stated above. |
kosovo:The playstation eyetoy has never been deployed as a full standalone game control scheme, so yes Microsoft is doing something different with Natal. |

. So please let's forget that issue.
