Of course go ahead and apply, if the interview date falls after the start date which is very possible, i dont knw what the vo would say about it,they could probably issue the visa if you are qualified and tells you to amend your i-20 or whatever form to the next available start date,I don't knw what the immigration will say, or maybe the other decision, God knows, so if they won't allow you to enter 1 month before start date then I guess they won't allow you less less than 1 month after start date. Its a close call, but try your luck as you wish. But even for EA you need to be atleast 1month before start date before talking about luck. Not every EA application is approved

It's all frustrating, have tried my best. Guess it's genetic thing. Well for anyone who wish to stop a bad habit the first step is to make up your mind, it worked for me to strike some rootless habit, put it in your.mimd that I'll never do this shit again and anytime the thing calls you you remind yourself again although you need to keep fighting until you could totally forget about it.

Might be true but not generally true, do you have any initial certificates, nd,hnd,bsc? Anything,? Then you'll have to proof what you've been doing all this while after high-school. Its possible but you need to be prepared.

It depends on your situation. I was recently approved by the same VO (with the earpiece) who interviewed me. I also have a sister on an F1 visa in the same place and state as my school, but she attends a different school. I mentioned my sister in my DS160 form, and the VO asked about her and if she was in the same state as my school. I confirmed that she was (Red Flag, I knew), but I also emphasized that my family business was my main tie to my home country and that my sister would return home after completing her defense this Fall/Spring 2024 to take up a role in the business. When the VO asked if I was sure, I confidently said yes.

Additionally, I had funding with a small deficit. At the end of the interview, the VO smiled and said "Hot brains" (maybe because we are both in Core STEM fields and I had full funding).

My advice is to declare any family members who are on an F1 visa and still in school, but don't provide any additional information about them, such as their address or contact details, or use them as a funding source. Only declare them in the family section.

If your Sibling came to the US with an F1 Visa and married to become a citizen or is currently working on a different Visa, then you might take another approach.

When answering questions, only provide the information that is asked for. If you have something additional to say, ask if you can elaborate or explain further. The VO will let you know if you can.

Don't try to move out of line, as the CGI will likely notice and bring you back to the same position. In my case, the CGI removed a lady from the earpiece man's line and placed me there. Although I was annoyed, I quickly composed myself as I noticed the VO was watching while interviewing another lady.

Like I always say ,its a very terrible thing to judge any Vo , this is not a corrupt organisation where other people would buy slots, its a contest and of course you need to prepare and present accordingly. Its not as difficult ass it seems ,sure luck comes in action sometimes, but don't judge anyone.

Not only igbo people, God to the north and see for yourself, im yoruba,although have not been to eastern part, stayed in the north forover 13years now. Just like the media makes Northern people a bad people same to igbo and yoruba,but the only set of people that believes this are the ones that hasn't travelled out of their zone before.
It is not what it looks like in there internet, let's leave crisis aside Nigerians are angels, although first impression might make you think otherwise, but your approach to your environment maters too. Just as people thinks the egberos in lagos will rub you at first sight, some folks thinks the igbo eats human ,and others thinks the housas will slaughter you for no reason, it is not generally true, have seen agberos helping people gets out of trouble in lagos and have seen fulani herdsmen showing you road in the north when you are lost. Evil is everywhere in the world and peace and harmony is everywhere in the world, its just depends on your mind set and God grace. The one that makes me cry is that every one thinks the Northerners are beggers loll you barely see any bigger on the street in the north ,they rather farm than beg, everyone thinks all igbos are 419, loll I don't need to keep going, change your mindset fellas

My wife went for her F2 VISA interview today 11th of July (this morning ) in Lagos.....she was denied

I have a fully funded Ph.D. that covers for her without any deficit, she's a medical laboratory scientist in Nigeria with good earnings, so I think to some extent we have a good profile

She told me she answers all the questions confidently...but the VO keep repeating

" You married in July and he left in August?"
"You married 2 weeks before he left Nigeria"
"You got married after his VISA interview "
"So did you guys leave together before he left "

Her response to the question was "Our wedding date have been fixed before his interview, our families have met, we, ve had an introduction between the two families and right there our wedding date has been fixed, we have sent out our wedding IV and preparation for our wedding has been ongoing before his interview"

She said she answers all the questions she asked her but she kept repeating the questions on the time of marriage....it's obvious she's having issues with how our wedding goes ( maybe how close to my departure date)

Our wedding should be one year in a few weeks.....she has really been so depressed..... I'm planning to apply for another VISA interview immediately and maybe she should go to Abuja now thou date has been the issue.

Please I want to ask, can re-apply immediately?

It's Nigeria thing to be married traditionally, we ware officially married as far as the families is concerned, then had to fix our official wedding to later date. Full stopppp

Moral, this kind of question don't need alot of response otherwise the vo would thing you are trying to defend something fishy.

Then in other related question include how you miss your husband, and how you wish to have kids together as soon as possible.

My visa interview transcript

Visa: Approved
Location: Seoul, South Korea
Name of School: Missouri University of Science and Technology
Funding: Fully funded
Interview date: December 12, 2022

Visa appointment was by 8:15 am. I arrived at 7:50.
After the biometrics, I was directed to join the queue for interview by a male VO.

VO: When did you finish your masters?
Me: February 2021

VO: What major will you study for your PhD?
Me: (I told him)

VO: Your PhD program is funded , right?
Me: Yes, I got a fully-funded PhD offer

VO: What will you do after your PhD?
Me: In the short term, I'd like to apply for post-doctoral position to reinforce my research experience. In the long term, I will return to my home country to work as.... (VO cuts in).

VO: That's okay, I will be approving your visa sir.  You will receive your passport in few days.

Interview finished in approximately 1 minute. I picked up my visa after 2 business days.
