It's not really an issue, as the previous owner was probably a tech enthusiast and wanted to play around with the OS.

However, don't buy it. I wouldn't recommend.

It won’t. Once permanently unlocked, you have no worries.

I once owned an AT&T Samsung, but I flashed an international rom on it before I was able to get updates.

The SM-S908W is actually the Canadian variant and doesn't support 5G band N78, hence why you may not be getting the 5G signal.
Verizon uses SM-S908U, which is the US variant.

Ok, thanks for this information. This phone came from the US so I assumed it was a US carrier.

I am curious, have you tried flashing a firmware from a different region? Firmwares can be gotten from Sammobile or XDA.

Problem with flashing different regions is that if you aren't careful you might not get security updates as often as you'd want. Mine is even US (Verizon), so I should get the 5G sef.

Again, please if you have any of the above Samsung S22 ultra variants and you are receiving MTN 5G, kindly state your variant.
Note that this will help in resolving the challenges of some Samsung devices not getting the 5G network.

I use SM-S908W. I got 5G the very first day it went live. Got it for a couple more days but it has since reverted to 4G.

The S8 should have the better camera on paper, being that it was a flagship device with flagship specs. But I wouldn't buy it if I were you. The phone is very very old.

Don't buy it as a daily driver. Maybe as a second phone. the A13 is better in every other thing.

Speed test of what exactly? Be clear because some people actually understand how this thing works.

What do you mean by speed? Is it speed of opening apps? Because if it's that one, the differences are marginal and results are mixed for reviewers.
