Forgot to add that I will be assessing my B.Sc accounting degree as an External Auditor and will be using CA.

Has anyone who studied in delsu with the above gotten a positive assessment?

Ghost readers if you have, biko come out of ghostmode and comment.

Recapturing done on the 27th. Now we wait. To think my file had already gotten to production before it was returned as a result of insufficient finger prints. Is painful to say the least.

Now na another fresh waiting.

Oluwa move someone to fasten the process........Amen

It is great to see more and more people getting grants right left and center. Congrats to all recipient of ITA and grants, The lord will crown all of our efforts. And a big thank you to all the contributors so far.

As for me, a lot of things have happened so far, like someone mentioned earlier a lot of water has gone under the bridge. I am still in the process of getting my documents together.

So far.....Took me five weeks minus a two or three days to get my transcript from Delsu. International passport is what is stopping me from moving to the next level which is test writing and assessment. Applied since Dec 19th and I was called back for recapturing on the 21st of Feb which I could not go for as a result of a loss that occurred. Went for it on the 27th and till date no booklet sad angry sad

Na to just dey prepare for test while hoping that the passport comes out on time.

@dunsinogundele if you are going to renew your passport in Nigeria before leaving and you are yet to do so, please carry your kaya and go do it ASAP. Even with express you don't get it same day except you are going through a very 'top' officer there.

Please focus on your studies. After graduation you can try immigrating to a country that is more favorable to immigrants. At least I know of Canada and Australia.

Good day good pple of Nairaland.pls don't know if this is the best decision for my career.I am still an undergraduate of one the Nigerian Universities; Thus my uncle informed me recently asking if I can accept to quit my education here in Nigeria and continue it there in Italy, and currently am in 200lvl .But the issue is whether to quit or to continue, but as it stands am biased but my siblings are in support of me to quit for a greener pasture over there, perhaps my parents seems to not support such idea hence asking me to finish up here first. To me my programme is 5yrs(long) duration and this is just an opportunity in disguise.Although i considered mny factors vis-a-vis financial status of the family nd d country as well b4 heeding to such decision. pls Ur candid opinions will be of utmost help to my future. Hoping for the best undisputed suggestions from matured folks.tnx all

What will you be doing in Italy if you eventually get there?School or work? And if work what kind of work can you possibly get with a secondary school result. L?

Also what are the career opportunities like in the country? Does it Favour immigrants?

These questions and more are what you need to get answers to before going?

No go enter one chance o.

I intend to acquire an international passport this week ahead of some international conferences I will be attending this year. I'm very clueless about how to go about this. I have heard some people mention 32 page passport while others have mentioned 64 pages. What is the basic difference between them? which one is ideal for my purpose of travel (conference)?
What do I need to get ready before visiting the immigration office? Lastly, please drop any information you think will be of use.
Thank you.

They both the same except for the number of pages and the cost. Those who travel more frequently are advised to go for the 64paged one. Also the materials for the 34paged passport is currently scarce. Although it seems the same is applicable to the 64paged one now.

For the documents you need to take along, go with your
Birth certificate.
Passport photo
Guarantor's international passport data page and drivers license/Voters card/National ID.

You can get additional details on the immigration website.

I applied December 28th or there about, through one of the immigration officer, captured the next day and kept calling him to find out if it was ready. Each time I called he ll tell me it's not ready. But because I needed it this month I decided to go there my self and God favoured me I met the PCO and I was able to get it the following day which was yesterday.

I will try visiting their office tomorrow. Mine was since 18th. Thanks.

I meant the woman I already paid for 32 pages said If I want 64pages it's 40k.

Thanks for the concern.

OK.......I think you are getting it wrong o. If you are going for the 64paged passport. It means you'd pay an extre 40k and not 12k. Or am I the one who interpreted wrongly?

I also asked my contact person the same question and she claimed I would have to make a fresh payment altogether, as the one I paid for the 32pages won't fly.

I applied for it this month.

A Nairalander actually gave me the 28k, that's why I am confused on where to go to get the 12k to balance it up which is actually the reason why I'm trying to see if I can get it cheaper elsewhere.
Rinsola32:

The woman I paid for the 32 pages said 40k. cry cry

Wait!! Is the 40k for 32pages or 64pages?

Except the 40k is for express,if not it is too much.

She said 40k. I'm just confused right now. That's a lot of money which means I have to add 12k.

That's even lower compared to some prices other have quoted here. When did you apply for your passport?

I also paid for 32 pages but up till now nothing yet and I need it urgently.

Please, does anyone knows how much 64 pages cost in ikoyi?

Depends.... You can call your contact person and ask for the price. So far it varies.

Hello everyone.
Please i need some help.
I arrived in Sydney NSW a couple of days ago, although my school is in Melbourne but i want to do all i need to do in Sydney first before moving down next month.
First of all, i need a job.....any kind....cant be staying at home for over a month.
Secondly, i am trying to have a training in disability care but i am thinking of how to go about my placement because my orientation at Melbourne starts on 20th-23rd February.
Thirdly, i will need a temporary place to stay in Melbourne when i resume for Orientation. That will make me have some few days to get my own accomodation.

I think you should post this on the Australian Student Visa thread. Someone might be willing to help out there.

Best of luck.

Good morning house, I will like to know if it is possible to apply for the international passport online and how fast will it be compared with the offline application. Also will it be cheaper?? I really need to find out.

Thank you!!

You can apply online but you still have to do the capturing at their office. So you are better off just going to the office for everything.

What's the current cost of a 32 page passport
Please can someone help with the address of office where I can get it done
How long should it take
I stay in Abuja , thanks
I created a thread about this but it was closed...
Pls your ans are appreciated

Google Nigerian immigration you should get the address closer to you in Abuja. The price is dependent on how fast you want it, how much you are willing to pay and number of pages you want.

I'd advice you go for the 64paged one if you need it urgently.

2) which of the offices in Lagos is the best/fastest for one to apply

Just go to immigration office with the documents you can provide and you can visit any office close to you. The answer to your second question will be answered when you get there.

Alright..... Maybe they don't have materials for the new passport. Mine is also over a month now, although it is a fresh one. Just keep calling and if the place is close you can go visit NIS to find out why the delayed.
