After researching for a particular hot topic, (maybe through search engines like Google.com or by navigating through the forums on a particular topic or niche you're interested in. Let me help you out with this, The most profitable niches in Nigeria right now are (1) ICT (GSM business), (2) The entertainment industry (i.e music and movies), (3) job vacancies, etc,

The next thing is to source for your information as regard what to come up with and start a business on that. And remember, when setting up a business maybe that of GSM Business, Capital is involved. Maybe you want to start selling Laptops, you can research that area, make inquiries and come up with a business plan as to how to set-up that business coupled with the Capital involved. Sorry I have been away for a long time due to some business engagements. Back to our "long-dropped" disccussion on how to find a better market to succeed in Nigeria. Like I said, we will be looking at using the 4ps for sucessive business environment.

Now what are the 4ps to establishing a viable business in Nigeria. First of all, let me delve on a particular issue that most of us have been ignoring. When I'm done, you will be able to draw up conclusions on why the 4ps are important in establishing a business.

Look around you. Have you noticed the activities that goes on in our everyday life. Everyone's running from one place or the other either looking for an opportunity or hoping some "luck' will befall them. Well, all this ends up to satisfying a particular "NEED". Do you get it? Everyone wants to satisfy their need in one way or the other. What about corporations, organisations, firms, business bodies and the rest of them? A Need is meant to filled or satisfied either materially, financially, emotionally, spiritual, etc.

I hope you're following. You see, money is what truly makes the world go round and without it, you're either stagnant or dumb-founded (sorry for the strong language). What if you can find a "need" and fill it? How do you go about it? Loads! It takes some brain-storming researches to know what people are looking for and how they want their need to be met or satisfied. Now you're looking at a hungry market that is willing to pay you whatever amount you're asking. It's that simple. Have you noticed the danfo drivers of our time? When they come to an agreement about their transpot fares, it's either you pay or you're left stranded. Simple!!! That's a need that have been met and money made out of it (I'm not saying you should deliberately make merchandise of people).

So you get what I'm saying? So what is the 4ps to establishing a viable and profitable market especially in Nigeria. I will briefly enlist them now,

1. Place: This refer to the niche/target market that is hungry for a particular product so they can satisfy their need. What are the hot niches in Nigeria? They are fashion, movies, music, comedy, jobs, food, transportation, accomodation, etc. You get the gist?

2. Product: What are the products available that will be readily needed by these hungry markets. You just have to research it and find a good/hot product for them. Could be a physical product, information product or something that's selling hot which relates to that market you're targeting e.g recharge cards business.

3. Packaging: You know without good packaging, a particular product will lose its strenght in the market especially those that are in stiff competition. That's why Big companies are spending Big Money to package their product(s) so as to "stay' in the market. Package your product or business in such a way that it will be attractive to the consumers and surely you'll make BIG money.

4. Present: How do you present your business or products to the world to see? There are strategies that have worked well for many. Presentation could be in different forms. What advertising medium can you use? Print or newspaper media? or maybe you just want to run a small enterprise but the way it will look to your customers will determine your profitability.

Well, I've exhausted my brains on this. I guess i've been of a little help. In the next post, I've got a closely-guarded secret on the best business you can get into in 2009 with little capital and will surely make you thousands, I don't mean hundreds,  thousands of naira and that's a sure guarantee.
