LOL

How do one know genuine slot. Because a friend of mine bought customs slot last year during the recruitment. 500k, he was asked to pay 200k upfront. Then balance after getting the appointment letter. Now his name didn't come out for the CBT, but the fellow told him he shouldn't bother. That slot dont need exam. That he ll be call for appointment when the time comes.
Career / Re: Has Any Federal Civil Servant Received The New Minimum Wage? by awele186: 9:12pm On Mar 15, 2020
Seems many of you don't know how ippis works. Your various institutions (ASUU) would have to get approval from national salary and wages commission which would now be forwarded to ippis. The commissions act says that no Agency should pay themselves any allowances without permission from them. This would take care of all irregularities. Before different universities pay themselves different salaries but now it would be uniform

Lol it's literally written 10k added

No other allowances. Everything is consolidated

Please do paramilitary agencies like Civil defence, prisons etc enjoy any allowance other than the 127k salary per month?
Secondly, is there anything like upfront yearly or productivity allowance yearly? Please someones who knows should help out. Thank you.
They get electoral hazard allowance every month. Go ask your friend again

Hello, don't rely on any electoral allowance because a close friend work there as level 10 step 3 and his salary is 87k after the minimum wage increment.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Monthly Net Salary Of Federal Government Ministries, departaments, Agencies And P by awele186: 10:15am On Mar 09, 2020
If your first posting is out of your normal home address, fg pays for the 1st 28 days of work in order for you to get settled. Calculated as 12k per day plus kilometres and local running. Amounts to above 300k depending on your location. This is for core civil servants

Pls house, kindly explain to me what first 28days allowance means as a civil servant in a core ministry and to also know if it still applicable till today?
This is actually 100% correct. Their salary was recently reviewed

Madam listen to them, and act on it if you have the opportunity. And mind you, most family and friends would not disclose their salary.

Now I am going to give you a break down of what it looks like.... This person got his appointment in 2017. So we can say he has been confirmed. And what I am about to quote here is dated January 2020.

Grade Level 8
Step 3
Gross pay: #484,481.40

Statutory Deduction
NHF: #6,211.30
PENSION: #10,434.98
TAX: #60,059.54

Total Deduction
#76,705.82

Net Pay
#407,775. 58

So madam, if you still want to argue.... You are so free to do so

Customs get upfront? I heard they just increased their salaries not upfront

they recently started it. But if you want to be big in Customs, go to the HQ. The guys in borders still report to top men in the HQ and give dem returns. Am in FRSC and I am praying to switch to customs.
Can you enlighten me pls, did they recruit more than they budget for? A friend is about to buy a slot

]I'll advise you look elsewhere if you have an open check from anybody that wants to help you. NARSDA as an agency has bitten more than they can chew. Presently, they have issues so I suggest you look elsewhere or take the risk
Do documentation before you pay

I got a slot offer for sale, my friend that brought the info of the slot is the 4th person, trusting his friend which is the 3rd person.

And the 3rd guy refuse to release the 2nd or 1st person number for us to confirm or make enquiry.

Any Advice before I go pay oo
Lol you are notorious in giving false information. Or not getting the right facts as Mda gets their salaries reviewed periodically by salary and wages. Icpc entry level is close to 200k now. Also same you would keep quoting EFCCs old package instead of the recent one

200k+ makes me laugh in Swahili.... I see no reason why you guys just have pleasure in giving false information. I won't say much but don't be surprise that your salary as officer 2 might not even up to 100k.

Not bad at all

3.5m upfront + 12.5% of annual salary for new employees with a different state address from office of posting. These are aside monthly salaries.
Education / Re: ASUU FG Standoff: Why IPPIS Cannot Work In Universities By Prof Emeka Obe by awele186: 11:45pm On Jan 29, 2020
This is a rubbish write up. Ippis pays more than 100mda and more than 10,000 workers and they manage it well. What is 40 universities that they can't manage. This argument is ignorant and baseless. Which staff travels to Abuja for ippis issues, instead the finance department of the said mda takes it up with ippis. This is the more ignorant argument i have ever seen

Fantastic, all those skills you have are needed these days. So let me tell you how I use those skills (my personal case). With my C#, python and MySQL skills:
1. I have designed a custom chemical database that searches FTIR (surface functional groups) and XRD (X-ray diffraction) peaks in unknown material and compare with well-known and reported material. This is currently in use in my department and customized commercially for two relatively new universities within my region.

2. I work a lot on wastewater treatment which requires heavy calculations on adsorption kinetics and isotherms. I have used C#, python and excel macros to build a personal software that does these calculations within 5 minutes, unlike the manual that takes weeks. Is currently being test-run by my PhD students to ensure all is fine. Then, I will share with related scientists in my field before going commercial.

3. Working on electrochemical biosensors for detection of analytes in food, wastes, sweat, water etc. I am designing a mobile-enabled app using Xamarin and Flutter on this. The sensors are expected to also go commercial and our focus on this is developing countries that are suffering from contaminants like Arsenic in Bangladesh, food poisonings etc and with a target of 1.5$ per sensor will likely strike a deal with UN, UNICEF, WHO and this will go commercial. We have collected over 1000 data from sites in Canada (the project is funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada).

My advice to you: With python, try to enhance your machine learning skills and interface it with artificial intelligence this is hotcake anywhere. With your C#. python and database skills: try design both desktop and mobile apps that will allow researchers to compare some unknown target to established target, you can also design a visualization software like GraphPad this is hotcake and many will buy it if is worthy.

If you are able to pay for at least 1-year tuition, accommodation and some living expenses, you should be fine with those computing skills you have. From my computing skills, I realized around 17, 000$ in 2019 and all these apps are custom-based imagine if it goes viral.

Best wishes and let me know how I can be of help. Also, when am free can point you more app development ideas.
Wait so like those their names were on the list didn't get the text, so who was now sent text messages? Kindly explain please

we're finished in this country, we've known that other government organizations recruitment processes are always compromised but for a whole Efcc to be like this then we're doomed. in ibadan they only shortlisted 100 each from some states for the aptitude test, what happened to the other qualified set of people that were successful in the screening exercise? infact some people that that had their names on the list weren't sent texts how do you now expect them to know and show up? if you're still believing that recruitment processes of govt jobs in Nigeria are transparent you're dreaming. To even pick some people on merit sef na wahala it is well.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Efcc Recruitment by awele186: 10:46am On Jan 24, 2020
Wait those without text were not called? Or efcc couldn't send everyone text messages? Which centre is this

This is disappointing and disheartening. Alot of folks have no idea what's going on right now. This is Nigeria!
How could some get the text and some dont?
And their names would be called at the centre with them being absent when they had no idea they had being shortlisted. Totally heartbreaking
