Getting reliable Benz Mechanic is rare. It is possible to get at Ladipo/Olowu/Clegg but my guy the ones that are readily available are the type you keeping going back to for re-work/correction and even the reliable ones are so busy that if you give them work there are high tendency that you will call them to complain that it was not done well. But if God help you and you are able to find a reliable, honest, God-fearing and detailed Benz mechanic please dont lose him. They are rare to come by.

Driving pleasure depends on you as an individual. What tickles your fantasy. Are you an adrenaline junkie, speed demon, you're just a point A to B or someone who love sheer luxury pampering?

If you're into sports and speeds, a BMW an Aston Martin, A ferrari, a Lamborghini, even an Infiniti will trump an average benz.
If you want a boring ride from A to B with utmost reliability, a Toyota and a Honda will do just that for you.
If you want pure undiluted whisper quiet luxury, a Genesis and a Lexus on the average is more quieter than a benz of same era, has more softer suspension with much more softer supple leather interior than similarly priced benz. But a Bentley, a Rolls Royce will do extremely excellently well compared to a benz in those regards.

A benz is good, very very good, but there are equally very very excellent brands out there and a benz isn't the number 1 when it comes to these.

Please does it work well with Benz ml350 2012.

Your car is expected to burn an average of 1litre per 1000km, depending on your driving style and engine mileage. The message will come up everytime that pressure drop is detected. Just do the necessary top up

Am not sure it is the sensor. When I use the dip stick to check every morning I noticed gradual reduction of level. I have checked every where underneath the car no drainage, leakage whatsoever. I think the oil is burning out quicker. Should I change to thicker oil?

This is the second time the message came up within 4 month of use. i have serviced the car twice.
this ride arrived from Texas in July the first time it occurred i have the car inspected for leakages, but we didnt find anywhere leaking and i serviced it again.
infact i have checked with my mechanic no leakeage whatsover was detected.
everywhere under the car is dry but the oil level gradual moved from max to middle. please what could be the problem or make i deu use am like that?

funny enough a whole lot of guys in my area also have the same message on their dashboard and their mechanic was not perturbed

Here is the feedback I promised
I have done as you’ve advised, I noticed serious oil drop after turning the steering. by the time I check the reservoir there was no oil again in the reservoir. So I took it to my mechanic to do a thorough check, the only place we noticed oil was dropping from is from the reservoir connector at the back.

Kewtt:
Wake up in the morning. (Before starting the car)
Jack the front wheels up (suspended in air)
Open the power steering reservoir
Switch on the ignition ( don't start engine)
Turn the steering to the extreme right and left (about ten times) with the front wheels suspended in the air and engine not running.


Remove the jack. Start the car and repeat the turning of the steering with the wheels on the ground.

If both pump and rack are fine, and without leaks.... You'll be okay.

Also ensure that you have the appropriate Mercedes Benz approved power steering fluid in there

Does BENZ need octane booster?
Some will recommend octane booster where the issue affecting the car is air flow meter
Anyway I got this octane booster from Messrs. Sopperrescue which I don’t think I need.
The man and octane booster na 5 & 6?

Good Afternoon.

Please I need your advise as regards my 2009 Benz ML350. I recently changed the Steering Pump and Rack.
The issue with it is that it becomes hard when you are making small turnings/maneuverings. I mean when am trying to park or when in traffic and you need to reverse and move out from one lane to another ( move back a little, turn, cut your hand and reverse before eventually parking or moving out - best way to describe the scenario). The steering feels very heavily that you will have to use both hands to turn the steering but as soon as it is on top speed it becomes free and very easy to turn but once you have need to do all those small turning again it becomes very heavy.
Please how can I get this resolved?
I appreciate your contribution as I dont want any try and error experiment.

Please also add Catalyst to the list. From experience and am saying this because I have witnessed it. There is high probability that your catalyst has been stolen.let a specialist inspect for you. You see there are terrible dealers and mechanic everywhere , when you buy a car from them like that and you want them to deliver it to a certain location. What they do is they will take it to LADIPO first remove the follow come catalyst and fill it up with the China type that is common in the market and re- install back to the car. I bet You won’t even notice because they will not leave any traces. All these people saying their catalyst is still intact please re-check and come back to the forum to update us if it’s original or China type

So my recently acquired MB C320 just arrived my doorsteps (from lagos to Enugu). About 12hrs, it was on the road. Here are the errors I noticed and I’ll to be told how to handle it

1. ABS malfunction. Visit workshop
2.SRS . Restraint system service
3. ESP malfunction. Visit workshop
4. Service A exceeded by 446 days
5. Battery Alternator. Visit workshop

It also shows on the dashboard check engine as seen on attached

Hello Guys see what I found when I visited Ojuelegba Clegg lane today. I went round and I saw many of the Benz Mechanics using this engine oil called NORDKAPP 5w30 to service Benz instead of MOBIL 1. Please what’s your opinion people and why on earth will someone allow the use of this engine oil for his Benz?
Funny enough all the people there are saying it’s a good oil for Benz and that is what they have been using to service their car from day one.
We must be careful with this mechanic o.

Am interested but one question is BMW X5 reliable for daily all weather monday to Sunday use.?

Hello Guys,
In relation to refilling catalyst as I previously pointed out that I know somewhere in Ladipo that you can have it done.
This is what I mean. See pics.
I have seen them do it before in my presence. People frequent there as the patronage level is high. If you don’t get there on time you might have to come the next day.
So what they do is They will remove the catalyst from the car and fill with the content from this container and then make good the the body and re-install back to it location. Please critic this method.
Is it a good practice for car knowing that follow come catalyst is EXPENSIVE.

Well the few people i know who have their catalyst refilled have never complained.
Buying a new catalyst is expensive.
I learnt cars tends to consume more fuel if you don't have catalyst.

To refill a catalyst ?? .kindly note that if the cat is not matched with the the correct one ,it will cause restriction for the exhaust stream .it is better if the exhaust is left hollow without a cat than choking up the exhaust with wrong spec of cat that will have bad repercussions on your engine later on .

I need to clarify. What I mean to say is I know a workshop at LADIPO where people go to when your catalyst become bad or stolen. What I have seen them do is they refill up. I hope you get. The place is liken to a welder or panel beater workshop.
