What about having a good investment back home in Nigeria, while in abroad and married? I heard a story of one of my senior in the secondary school,he once had the same issue but will I say he was smart to have good investment in Nigeria without her knowledge, as soon as she started her craze after 7 years he brought her to the UK, my man japa with kids back to naija,all she had was just the UK house. This man and two kids are in the U.S now and not starting all over per day atleast he has his life savings and assets in naija to fall back on.
Can these be an option for the men who take family abroad? Am here to learn.

Why not continue with the Greater Port Harcourt Master plan and connect some LGA with bridges?

Why not build a short bridge to connect Iwofe to Kalabari kingdom or Okirika by refinery to Abuloma to ease the traffic on Akpajo?

Or an over head bridge on Akpajo and Refinery junction where people spend hours in traffic.

Can't the RVSG build its own 4th Mainland bridge to connect PH directly to Bonny LGA?

read through the link, you will see Sheffield international, click on it and a mail address will pop up. Send them a mail with details on your BRP. It took 10 working days to get a new one sent to either your home address or same post office.

You are missing the point! If you do not have to pay excess luggage or cargo at about £4 or £5 per kilogramme then carry whatever you like.

But 3 cartons of indomie when Maggi noodles is better is just thinking that Nja foods is superior when it is not!

I am not a foodie type person and I will not waste my time or effort carrying Nja foods to the UK.

I go to nja with suitcases mostly full of great FTS and come back with one suitcase that is virtually empty. There are enough foods in the UK and like I said, whatever you bring will be eaten.

Black soap, Shea butter, ground peppers and other natural remedies and spices are my thing and they are very cost effective because they are mad expensive in the UK.

Each to their own! So they take all the foods; what exactly should they leave behind? And did you pay excess luggage on your foods?

I understand your point clearly. Naturally am a light traveller however with kids it's always a different ball game, hence you can't ignore all the food. I didn't pay anything on excess food, we were in line with KG, as a family of 4. Infact I only took very few clothes not even up to 10pcs (1 boot,1 sneakers, 3 jeans, 3 tops and 1 jacket)

Foods! Almost all foods can be left behind because food is food and if you shop wisely and not hung up on eating Nja foods, you will be fine. We all eat too much anyways!
Then clothes, forget most of your Nigerian attire - take just a few good ones - where are you going to be going or are you coming to UK to do owambe.
Next, books and other personal effects that will just gather space in your house for many years to come.
Mind you! You gave allocation for every single traveller including the children, do how come you are 70kg over? Get rid of beans and rice and meats - no need!

You can drop other things but you need lots of food especially during the ten days isolation and you have kids. Mine (2) ate like bricklayer in that ten days cos idleness and boredom will make them ask for food everytime. On top all the food we still did iceland and amazon once o. So my advice leave other things but carry food:
From egusi to ogbono to palm oil (freeze it well), to pap to garri, rice,beans,indomie (3 cartons), sardine,maggi, dry fish and dry meat including suya and kilishi, vegetable oil, biscuit,I checked in 6 loafs of bread we got in Abuja that morning we were leaving. Atleast most of this held us for first 5-8 days.
But you must wrap well with foil and tape in ghana must go also make sure they wrap it at the airport,we had 8 bags. Small clothes should be in hand luggage

Please, who knows an affordable cargo company that I can use to send my luggage to the UK. The excess luggage that appeared from nowhere is not a joke especially with local flight. Am sure int'l flight I will be ok but local flights is looking like wahala! Don't have money to waste abeg help a sister! I am travelling with my husband and 2 children.

I will advise you buy digital scale from jumia if you still have time cos a friend , family of 4 made the same mistake. There was bags everywhere but they got to the international airport and found out they still have 27kg not use

Good Femi,we are a family of 4 too, though already in Scotland. It's not an easy task running this whole application thing when you are more than one or when its a family. So start preparation early enough from food, to stuffs that kids will need. The 10 days isolation is boring, kids will eat almost every hour. Pack enough of everything and anything though you can also make shop using your naija master and visa cards on Amazon.

1 verve,1 visa and 5 master card, all naira debit. That automatically gives us 700$ per month equivalent of 500 pounds and Amazon's rate is 571 to 1 pounds

I don't know where to start but these last 42 days have been something else for me but I thank God the end of it is sweet.

Submission - 10th December
(28 day count started on 7th December. This was the primary cause of my sleepless nights when people told me I should have waited for the 28 days to be complete before submitting, that it's automatic refusal. Some even asked me to cancel the application and start again. This was difficult for a family of 5 so we prayed about it and moved on - God answers prayers o)

Biometrics- 7th January (standard)
Now the long wait began.

Non straightforward mail - 25th January (12th working day)
Like play like play, it reached 29 working days. No mail, nothing. Hmm!

Decision confirmation mail - 15th February
After several mails and back and forth with UKVI

All 5 of us got our visas

Before going to aboki,if you have a return ticket,your bank will give equivalent of 2900 pounds. So you can try that for a starter. However load your naira card you can buy ALOT on amazon paying with naira card

Is your wife in the UK already? If yes, then send a mail to an email (sheffield) on that link as soon as she gets her BRP.
I sent an earlier mail but was told to email my BRP as soon as I got it which I did. Please include a copy of both vignette and BRP in mail

yes please include jackets, enough thick socks, with gloves leather and fabrics. However as a good naija pikin i still advise you take few food stuffs along (though you are going to your mum's friend place), cos we all know how most of our people already abroad behave, especially with food. Am not implying that this is applicable to your mum's friend o or everyone o, but a few food stuffs to support what they have at home wont be a bad idea or preferably your mum can ask her friend the exact stuffs that she might need you to bring for her.

please include some paracetamol, cold, cattarh and malaria tablets, you can add strepsil.

since you will be arriving this week, yes you will be require to pay for covid test and will have one on your second day and eight days after arrival. not too sure but you can goggle gov.uk (covid update) or ask your host.

my broda, unless you are heading to a family/friend's place, my advise is that you take all the essential foods
(indomie, spaghetti, sardine, washing soap (both liquid and powder), bathing soap, custard, milo, very very dry fish and meat including, pepper, vegetable oil (4 liters) and palm oil (make sure you keep this one in freezer at least 5 days before your travel date)

tomatoe paste, enough rice, garri, beans, crayfish, ogbono, dried vegetable, egusi, okporoko, kilishi (plenti), bread, toiletries o, infact thank God we

took about 20pcs of tissues as the short stay accomodation only gave us 8 pcs that finished in 4 days cos we have got kids and flu set with enough

cattarh to clean every minute. add sanitizer (4-6pcs), wipes, vaseline, aboniki, rob you will be isolating for 10 days. i have only done 6 days and have

received two calls and three emails checking on us. dont forget to get your debit card if you have enough time, get USD or pounds card and deposit atleast 200 - 300 USD/Pounds cos you will need to shop for other essentials need that might arise within your ten days isolation. lastly add video games cos its really boring (the ten days isolation). Lastly, wrap all in foil and news paper. i also took blender and my small printer
