Lets do some math. i have 2 parents, 4 grand parents, 8 great grand parents, etc. Each generation is 25 years. There are 100 million Horn Africans

Oromo are Cushitc, and did not reject their kinship, I just said they are not ethnically Somali. We call them Oromo. First what you know today as Somalia, never existed till 1960. Historians (especially) Europeans easily know that Somalis have achieved a lot historically in terms of trade. Take for Example Punt which traded with Egypt, China, etc. Adjuran which was the first to use Cannons in warfare, Adal Sultanate, even if you go further you will see Axum, Abyssinia which was created by the forefathers of modern day Somalis and other Cushitic people.


You cannot compare Bantu history to Cushitic history. Its also unfair to compare Somali to Bantu (even though we did more historically) because Somali history starts only when the people in the region started to believe in a Somali identity, just as today their was no Nigerian identity 100 years ago.

Somalis are conservative people, before the existence of the people who identify themselves as Somalis, we were just one people all the Cushitic people. Don't know who those people are but their not related to Somalis, nor do they speak a Cushitic language. Oromo is a large group of people, some are Muslim other are not, Some are mixed with Nilotic, those in the North are mixed with Tigrey/Amahara, and those in the east are heavily influenced by Somalis.


Oromo is not a homogenous group like Somalis, they don't all have the same culture, religion, etc.
