Gud day pals, I got an invitation from Dangote oil refining comp, the subject of the mail reads INTERVIEW SCHEDULE but the content says "invited for personal discussion" . I submitted my c.v to a mail (general mail on d advert) wen the advert was on last year, after a mnth I was called to send in my appointment letter and pay slip. I was not called for any test. Could someone give me a guide and wat should be expected

U missed the information up. The advert was only on papers around August last year, that is like 5 months ago as against what u stated.

When did u get the mail and when were u scheduled for ?

What is ur course of study ?

With that, you can get appropriate answers.

Personally, I think the interview is just as stated (Discussion). I doubt if technical questions would be asked like in the case of eazichris.

tafrica, I think the topics u mentioned are for Mechanical/chemical engineering.

SL is not SHORTLISTED, it actually meant Senior level. CV Senior Level based and awaiting scheduling interview, my mind is telling me that, this Nov batch is another recruitment drive. Some will still be called for a test probably to undergo the same process that August applicant undergone.

We now have 3 meanings to SL.

SHORTLIST
SKILL LEVEL
SENIOR LEVEL

It has 1 meaning to me though and that is individual involved MIGHT go through Interview or possibly get the job directly with respect to relevant experiences and the numbers needed for such position.

Mouth watering salary? Some1 quoted around 140-160k before for fertilizer. Is it same or more?

I quite agree with you dat it could be in batches. However , this new EXECUTIVE. TRAINEE REFINERY has slot for 50 unlike the 30 u stated.

The previous one was refinery!!..this is also refinery!!...it's stated...probably need more ppl or mistake on the website...which is unlikely!...#na them know Wetin dem dey do#

Trust me , if dey needed more people then this two questions must be ' Yes '.


1) Has the previous(ongoing) recruitment closed? : Hence they can easily make up for the numbers they need , if ur assumption is correct.

2) Are they expecting the previous people that they screened out of this same position to apply ? When almost all applied previously, even those presently undergoong NYSC.

I don't think it wud affect u guys successes so far. The previous ones were meant for Fertilizer( According to d Job description) on Dangote's site . I guess dat is why they emphasised on Executive Trainee REFINERY.



Though, its same job scope and location but different businesses (Fertilizer / Refinery)

For those asking about the interview, its a technical interview and not competency based. Make sure you know how to explain your projects. If you designed an equipment, know how to explain it and research refinery processes.

How many candidates were present on your interview day and how soon are you to get feedback ? Thanks
