selective herbicide depends on the type of weed in other to work. Some kill grass, while some kill broad leaved weeds.
If you use maize selective herbicide, it will not kill grass, it only kills broad leaves, because maize is grass family.
Pepper is broad leaves family, that herbicide will only used to control grass, if the weeds in your pepper farm are broad leaves, it will not work.

Selective herbicide that works for pepper, tomato, soyabean, watermelon, onion including cucumber. It works as a pre and post emergence weed killer.

The variety he got is not suitable for commercial purpose due to...
1. Late maturity (almost 60 days unlike some varieties that mature in less than 40days)... If harvesting is done every 4-day, imagine your fellow farmer who planted other species going to market more than five times B4 your own gets matured. Besides, you keep spending resources on pumping water for irrigation for like extra 2weeks B4 maturing.
2. Poor/low yield
3. Poor disease resistance...Downy mildew ( most stubborn cuke disease) no be him mate.
4. Low shelf life... imagine harvesting your cukes and due to one issue or the other you couldn't sell within 3 days, it wl start turning to yellow color, esp when subjected to high temperature/heat.
5. The body is not smooth/not attractive to buyers due to the presence of spines all over its body.

Hello everyone.

I intend to go into cucumber farming, and I got some cucumber marketer seeds. However, I'm having double mind about planting it due to how cheap the seeds are compared to other varieties.

Also, all the other farmers I've met are planting either Greengo or Darina, and I haven't met anyone who has tried marketer before.

I will like to ask if anyone here has tried Marketer variety before. How big are the fruits? And how do they fare in the market compared to Darina and Greengo?

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the least score, will you recommend a new cucumber farmer to plant Marketer variety?

For Tete and Ewedu, I will be using Spray Tube (Also know as rain Hose) irrigation.

For Cucumbers, I will be using Drip irrigation.

Should I add Okra later, it will fall under drip irrigation.

If I add Potatoes, it will fall under the Spray Tube section.

So far, Packing of unburnt woods/logs is in progress. The packing should be completed by Thursday, and making of Beds should hopefully start on Friday.

The guys burning the bush didn't pay attention to the tanks (which contains some drip tapes and other stuffs), and everything got burnt in the process.
