Kanye West has reportedly banned Kim Kardashian from undergoing cosmetic surgery as part of their pre-nuptial agreement. The ‘Stronger‘ hitmaker – whose mother Donda tragically died from surgery complications after a breast reduction and liposuction in 2007 – is having a clause written into their pre-nuptial agreement stating she will have to pay a reported $500,000 if she has any work done and he is said to have warned her their wedding is off if she goes under the knife before their big day after discovering an email from a surgeon about secret plans for surgery. A source said: ‘Kim met with her surgeon to discuss having a nose job and liposuction on her thighs and tummy before their wedding next summer. ’She was planning to do it in March when Kanye would be working in Paris. She hoped by the time he returned to Los Angeles she would have healed and Kanye would never know. ‘He flipped and said if she went ahead with the procedures then the wedding was off.’ Kim is currently managed by her mother, Kris Jenner, but Kanye – who has a five-month-old daughter, North West, with the socialite – is also having a clause inserted into the pre-nup which limits the control his future mother-in-law will have. The insider explained to Heat magazine: ‘Kanye’s also inserted a mother-in-law clause which means Kris will have no say in decisions which affect them as a couple. Even work ones.’ The pair will also have to pay financial penalties if one of them cheats on the other, though insiders insist this is a ‘standard’ clause. The source added: ‘There’s also an infidelity clause like Khloe and Lamar had, which states they would receive $250,000 if the other person cheats, and a drug clause stating both would be subject to random drug testing at the other’s wishes. It’s standard – they’re just planning for every eventuality.’ |

Every upcoming artiste’s dream is to have that one hit. That career defining song that launches him into the limelight and causes all the A&Rs to come running. So I found an article on CDbaby and this short article is inspired by what I read. Hope you learn something. 1. Don’t be married to your first single Release and promote a series of individual songs. And: If it’s not a hit, switch. Don’t keep pushing a song that’s not getting any traction on its own. Keep releasing new songs until one catches on. 2. Be different Don’t try to sound like someone else. Be yourself. Create something memorable, and don’t be scared of embracing your uniqueness. 3. Have fun and lots of it Do you remember the first time you heard “Azonto?” Probably put a smile on your face, because there’s humor in the lyrics and production. And we love to share funny things online. 4. Get anthemic A hit song is a symbol that captures the ACTUAL cultural phenomenon of the present time. What current cultural phenomenon is missing an anthem? Write it! 5. Have visuals, It will travel Good lyrics are visually evocative, thus providing the perfect setup for an accompanying music video — which can be viewed on YouTube. So the lesson here is simple: make great videos |

I don't really feel sorry for Brymo cause i think if you sign a contract, it needs to be honored. You can't just wake up one day and just dump a contract you signed because you feel cheated and i think Chocolate City has invested a lot of money to get Brymo to the level he is and they are within their right to disrupt the release of brymo's new album. But with that said i think this needs to be resolved soon cos brymo is really talented and shouldn't be held back. Read Brymo's tweet and see pictures of Chocolate City's court injunction against Brymo, making the release of his new album today illegal. |
VP Namadi Sambo and ASUU Representatives led by Dr. Fagge By SaharaReporters, New York Towards ending the ongoing ASUU strike, the Federal Government has committed to spending N200 billion in the 2014 budget on the universities as well as on each of the next three-four years until the universities are brought to world-class standard. This is in addition to the N100 billion dedicated and already made available for 2013. The government has also increased to N40 billion as a first installment, funds for the payment of earned allowances to the striking lecturers, an improvement from the N30 billion previously released. This information is contained in an internal Federal University of Otuoke statement by Professor Bolaji Aluko, its Vice-Chancellor, seen on Wednesday night by SaharaReporters. On the earned allowances, he explained, “Government will top it up with further releases once universities are through with the disbursement of this new figure of N40 million, so Vice- Chancellors are urged to expedite this disbursement within the shortest possible time using guiding templates that have been sent by the CVC,” the circular said. Professor Aluko said the development followed meetings on September 19 and Oct 11 of representatives of the Association of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities, led by CVC Chairman, Prof. Hamisu of ATBU and ASUU Representatives led by its President, Dr. N. Fagge with the Vice- President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Arc. Namadi. Sambo, Minister of Education Barr. N. Wike and others. Of great interest to stakeholders, Vice- President Sambo, appealing to ASUU to call off the strike, apologized for the "take-it-or-leave-it" comments credited to the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala at the onset of the strike. The Minister did not seem to have been involved in either meeting, perhaps as the government’s way of soothing the feelings of the university teachers. Other points of agreement at the meetings include the following: Project Prioritization: Universities will now be allowed to determine their priorities and not be “rail-roaded” into implementing a pre-determined set of projects with respect to the NEEDS assessment. Decisions are not to be centralized. TETFund Intervention: Government assured that the operations of the TETFund will not be impaired, and that the regular TETFund intervention disbursement to Universities will continue, unaffected. So the NEEDS assessment capital outlays are in addition to regular TETFund intervention. Project Monitoring: A new Implementation Monitoring Committee (IMC) for the NEEDS Assessment intervention for universities has been set up to take over from the Suswan Committee. The new one is under the Federal Ministry of Education and chaired by the Honorable Minister of Education. In addition, to build confidence and ensure faithful implementation and prevent any relapse as before, the Vice President will meet quarterly with the IMC to monitor progress. Blueprint: ASUU was mandated to submit a blue print for revitalizing the Universities to the Vice President. Prof. Aluko further stated that a signed document will soon be issued to itemize the full issues on which the consensus he had outlined here, as brokered by AVCNU, was reached. culled from : http://mobile.saharareporters.com/news-page/ASUU-strike-government-blinks-agrees-spend-n200b-each-four-years-bring-nigerian-universiti could this be the end to d ongoing strike |

What am about to talk about maybe reasonable to you or not but either way u r reading it. I am a young nigerian willing to share his experience about Nigeria music industry aka the gold mine (I gave it that alias anyway), sigh! Where do I start? We av lot of record labels in Nigeria now different Frm d time wen it use to b kennis alone, along came corner stone (mad melon n mountain black) I wasnt into our music so much den so am Nt sure Hw many we had den, now the question is Ar this millions of labels flying around working the way they are suppose to,picking pure talent Frm where ever they can find them n polish dem and mold them to been the start they are suppose to be perfect example is what bankole Wellington did with balogun ayo I so much respect bankyw's judgment on that guy seeing what other label owners didn't see in wizkid, even don Baba Jay testify to this greatness...but how many tyms have we seen this happen mayb 4 or 5 wande coal, skales, wizkid, mocheda who else? I can't remember, I stand to be corrected Now my point is we av been deprived of the privilege of seen such greatness because label owners now operate in a different way which is what brought about this write up,I have 2 brothers that sing and am not gonna sing there praise to you but rather will share a little insight of what they av been through as an artist....there is Nø such thing as record deal at least that's what we r told, my twitter encounter n one on one encounter made me undastnd this, label owners will tell u if you want to b under there label you have to pay a certain amount of money for your personal promo.........to b continued. click like if u think I should continue my story |
