We have heard this severally from people who have travelled. Please say another thing grin

Even here too some people don't pray or visit churches but they have everything going on well for them and some still go to church only as a moral duty not that they are foolish enough to expect miracles to happen.
PoliticsRe: Kenneth Okonkwo: The Hate Against Peter Obi Is Just Too Much - KAA by Ayo25:
Exactly.

Blame Obidients grin

They are too hateful. We warned them.

You don't like the status quo and want to change it. Fine, but the way to go about it is not to abuse everybody and bully your way through grin

With the kind of toxicity and damage Obidients have done, Obi can never become President.

Best position is 3rd for him grin

maestroferddi:
Nigeria is doomed with people like you having opportunities to air your senseless views.

You are blaming Obi and Atiku but does that mean that you are discounting yourself from being a responsible citizen?

So the disaster that Tinubu's misgoverance has unleashed is only affecting the people you are wont to reference?

Or do you reckon that the country is going in the right direction?

Oga, do some kind of thinking...you will survive thereafter...

Nobody is denying that we need quality leadership but who is the quality leadership we are talking about? Obi🤣
Counterigbolies:
which quality leadership did obi give Anambra people for 8 years?

U people are in for a rude shock again
PoliticsRe: 2027: NDC Clears Path For Obi’s Single-Term Ticket by Ayo25: 7:36am On May 10
It’s only out of sheer desperation a man will give up his rights for 2 terms of presidency
🤣

All of us including Obi himself understands, he will never want to leave the seat after one term of 4 years, that’s assuming he wins (a pipe dream though).

In the events that he refuses to leave after 4 years and tries to recontest, some of us will be waiting to team up with the north and boot him out disgracefully🤣

This street of politics is brutal. We are saving all the videos now so Mr lamba will not come and deny later on.

Nairaland GeneralRe: My Landlord Increased My Rent By 108% by Ayo25: 6:21am On May 05
Did you just formed this on your head or which law are you quoting? grin
DLifeless1:
The way you people lie frustrates the devil, you feel many people here are your favourite zombies

Type of Tenant (Rent Payment)|Length of Quit Notice
Weekly tenant| 1 week
Monthly tenant| 1 month
Quarterly tenant| 3 months
Half‑yearly tenant| 3 months
Yearly tenant| 6 months
Nairaland GeneralRe: My Landlord Increased My Rent By 108% by Ayo25:
You lack comprehension skills. Show me where I defended the landlord increasing the rent by 100%
I only explained the position of the law to you. I didn’t make the law. The law is not emotional. You are only being emotional and you will put him in more problem with your advise.

If he want to negotiate the increment, fine. But to expect to stay in the apartment for six months for free while he search for another apartment, the law will not support him on that. As a civilized person you cannot do everything with strong head. You na just strong head you dey, no logicality at all.
tosyne2much:
What you're saying is nonsense and you have no sympathy at all

Increasing rent by 108% is pure wickedness no matter how you try to justify this wickedness, and you're here quoting stupid laws that the OP is meant to vacate the property within a month

If a landlord can be so inconsiderate to raise rent by 108% overnight, he should be able to at least give the tenant 3 or 6 months to prepare his exit since he can't afford it

But you're here defending the landlord and quoting rubbish law, saying the OP is supposed to pay if he exceeds the time his rent expired

Do you people think others pick money on the floor?

Nairaland GeneralRe: My Landlord Increased My Rent By 108% by Ayo25: 2:42pm On May 03
Don’t misled the person please. No law gives you six months to vacate property.

After your rent expires, you are served with owners intention to recover property after 7 days. If you don’t vacate after seven days, landlord takes you to court. In court you tell the the judge how long before you vacate property which can’t be more than 1 month and you must pay the rent for the 1 month. You are not entitled to occupy a property more than a day after your rent expires.

Always get the through position of the law. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse.
Nemesis0147:
Don’t tell him
Just be looking for an apartment….even if he gives you quit notice….it will be at least 6 months for you to vacate

These landlords are heartless

Jobs/VacanciesRe: If You Are Supporting APC, Don’t Send CV - Olamide Ade by Ayo25: 9:57pm On Apr 27
Typically Obidients always starts what they cannot finish and when the table turns you hear them cry the most grin

If the table where to turn now and you hear an APC supporter rejecting applications cos of party affiliations, there is no kind of English we will not hear. Much for people who wants to give us a new Nigeria. What kind of a new Nigeria is that where people cannot make free choices about politics. Only yesterday their principal was complaining about being shut out by a university, as a university should be a place for the exchange of free ideas. Can you give what you don’t have?

Attitude like this even creates die-hard supporters in the end. From this you will see many more Batists spring up. To hell with she and her job positions.

PoliticsRe: Senator Eshilokun Has Been Made A Member Of The GAC by Ayo25: 9:21am On Apr 19
All ye people with your fake love for Ambode grin

How many of you people voted for him in 2015 when the APC presented him? Ye all voted for Jimi Agbaje. Same party and system and structure that brought him to power said they no longer wanted him, but you have never stopped crying about his ouster. Make una rest abeg.

The fact that you are still craving for Ambode who was single handedly picked as governor by the same GAC you are now hating on means you inadvertently agreed that the GAC is an important body for the growth and development of Lagos.
dgr8truth:
It’s always interesting how quickly people forget recent political history. Celebrating someone’s elevation within that same political structure ignores a key contradiction: this is the very system that denied Akinwunmi Ambode a second term despite what many widely regarded as a solid performance in office.

Ambode served as governor of Lagos from 2015 to 2019 and, by most objective assessments, delivered significantly in infrastructure, finance management, and urban development. Yet, he was blocked from securing his party’s ticket for re-election after losing the APC primary to Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

That outcome wasn’t driven by public rejection at the ballot box—it happened internally, within the same political machinery now being praised. In fact, even insiders admitted that “arrangements” within the party made it impossible for Ambode’s supporters to prevail.

So the real question is: what exactly are we celebrating?

If a political structure can sideline a sitting governor who, by many accounts, was delivering tangible results, then loyalty to performance clearly isn’t its guiding principle. Instead, it suggests that internal alignments, power blocs, and interests carry more weight than governance outcomes.

That context matters. Because when the same system elevates new figures, it’s reasonable to question whether such promotions are based on merit, competence, or simply alignment with entrenched political interests.

In short, before applauding, we should reflect:
this is not just about one individual’s rise—it’s about a system whose past actions raise serious doubts about its commitment to rewarding performance and accountability.

GAC my foot.
