Please let us not tribalize this thread. We should not generalize it among Igbo states, its not everywhere. |
This is not about Igbos, but about non performing governor who has not done anything than talking and defrauding the poor people of Imo state. Tasking civil servants on daily basis and thereby increasing crime rate, kidnapping ever to be witnessed in the history of Southern NIgeria. |
This is worse than BH. This talkative governor should start doing something in his state instead of talking everyday. Imo state has turned to another Somalia. |
Kidnapped Pastor Found Dead In Imo After Payment Of N500,000 Ransom OWERRI – The lifeless body of Pastor Anslem Iwuala has been picked up by members of his immediate family, seven days after he was kidnapped and a N500,000 paid to the hoodlums to secure his freedom. Late Iwuala, who was on his way to his country home, Egberede Nguru, Aboh Mbaise local council area of Imo State, was abducted by gunmen along the ever busy Okpala-Mbaise road. Narrating the family’s ordeal to newsmen, the deceased’s cousin, Mr. Odinakachi Iwuala, confirmed that his uncle was kidnapped by the hoodlums while returning from Aba. Odinakachi disclosed that the family made frantic efforts to reach their bread winner, adding that his abductors finally got in contact with the family at about midnight of the ill-fated day and demanded N100 million. Continuing, Odinakachi revealed that the hoodlums said they were sent to kill the pastor/businessman, promising that they would spare his life if they paid the ransom. “The family, however, paid the sum of N500,000 to the kidnappers. We all thought that our prayers had been answered until we received a telephone call from his abductors to rush down to Okpala but what we saw was his corpse,” Odinakachukwu lamented. Although no police officer at Uvuru Mbaise was ready to speak on the issue, Vanguard, however, gathered that the police was making frantic efforts to apprehend the perpetrators of the sordid crime. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/05/kidnapped-pastor-found-dead-in-imo-after-payment-of-n500000-ransom/ |
Dede1: Anybody who thinks Rochas Okorocha has added significant growth to the Owerri ring road is delusional. I was at the Owerri three months after Rochas assumed office, December 2011 and March 2012, there is no patch of cement added to Ikenegbu overpass of the Owerri ring road. I was completely shocked to see the clearing adjacent F U Anayawu Steel Industry has not progressed beyond 25 yards since the December 2011 when I left Owerri. Douglas/Old Market Road junction has been taken over by garbage. The streets he graded during my December 2011 visit to Owerri have not been tarred yet.Exactly, nothing to show for all the noise making. |
Absolutely nothing. The guy has not disappointed his people that he is a talkative than a working governor. Ohakim was better anyways, I weep for imo state. |
I hope una are watching this thread carefully. When the Igbo start now, the yoruba are quick to start crying and lying that Igbo are attacking them w/o provocation on their part. Okay ooo!!!! I hope una dey watch.
Please don't start. Am not happy the way some yorubas comment on this forum, it saddens me. FYI: this is not how yorubas are in real life, we appreciate progress and such a huge achievement as the brewery plant. Even my colleagues here in the office who are all yorubas are expressing their happiness and joy over this singular FDI. |
Demdem: I won't be surprise if the retardeen list it as one of his achievement. Happy for the igbos. More drinks for them.15 Billion naira (FDI) investment is a major achievement, its not easy for most governors to come by. |
Lets be civil a bit |
All na investment, whether na Inoson or Eleganza. The key thing is to create employment in the society and Nigeria at large. Thump up Anambra people and their ingenuity. I did my nysc in Onitsha its really a great city for any serious investor. How I wish my governor will take a cue from this to attract FDIs into my state. |
Vietnam shows interest to invest in Ekiti Thu, 13 Sep 2007 00:00 http://thenationonlineng.net/web2/articles/32952/1/Chinese-firms-to-invest-in-Ekiti/Page1.html Mr. Van Pham Cong, Trade Counsellor of Vietnam Trade Office in Nigeria, visited the Governor of the Ekiti State, Engr. Segun Oni, yesterday. The two discussed the possibility of investment collaboration between Ekiti State and Vietnam. The country is especially interested in investing in Nigeria's agriculture sector. Oni said that his administration is passionate about attracting local and foreign investors. He wants to decrease unemployment and increase the state's internally generated revenue in order to reduce its dependence on the federation account. The Governor added that he wants to make Ekiti State investor friendly and remove all possible investment barriers. The process of securing a Certificate of Occupancy (C of O), which used to be cumbersome, has already been shortened to about 10 working days. State government is also improving power supply and building roads to make all towns and villages accessible. Chinese firms to invest in Ekiti A group of investors from China’s Shan Dong Province has said that the Shan Dong Province would establish granite quarries and sugar cane plantations in Ekiti State as soon as necessary formalities are completed. Speaking at a meeting with Governor Segun Oni over the weekend, leader of the Chinese team, Mr. Zhang Zhi Lin, who said his team was in the state to assess business opportunities, explained that his organisation had already established a mega-quarry worth N2 billion in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. Lin, who said the team was impressed by what it saw, stressed its readiness to join hands with the government in its quest to turn the state economy around. http://www.tradeinvestnigeria.com/news/982093.htm Back to the topic: Ekiti its an emerging economy that deserves the airport more than any other state. |
Ekiti turning into economic hub. Haters go away from this thread. |
alj harem: you are an ideeiot that knows nothing about Nigeria. Please get off this thread if you don't have your fact. Anambra does not even have the half the elites and giants Ogun state alone has. Case closed |
What is these okoros talking about? I didnt open this thread for you monkeys to jump into. The first three topmost states to reckon with when it comes to highest number of celebrated and powerful people in Nigeria both present and past, no ibo state comes anywhere close. Yoruba states takes the first two shots: It is Ogun, Ekiti or either Osun (Awolowo home state) and then followed by Plateau and Niger states. |
Adenuga and Otedola lone has the economic might to buy up the whole ibo enclave. Go figure |
Just google Ogun and Ekiti states and any other yoruba state you will be amazed that Odua Nation is the only pride of Nigeria. It won't make any sense to mention names, because NL will not contain it. |
Dede1: The idiocy in you drove your silly arse to open idiotic thread with malaise yet a moronic mooncalf such as you stupidly failed to give example of such goons you anticipated as “highest most celebrated and powerful Nigerians both in private and public sectors”.I choose to ignore your ibolistic insanity. Back to the topic please. |
No Ibo state made the list. Shameless peeps. |
The FG is so scared of Ogbeni 1 of Odua. Shameless FG |
Ibos sef |
Ibos sef |
State that has produced the highest most celebrated and powerful Nigerians both in private and public sectors. Your guess is as good as mine, but I will give it to the following states of the federation: Here is the state ranking and rating: 1- Ogun 2- Ekiti 3- Plateau 4- Niger |
