Good day N/landers. My brother's friend gifted me a laptop before he left Nigeria. HP Compaq 530 and its operating system is Windows Vista. It has no battery, he said I should buy a new battery. I made research about it, I deduced that its an old model and some browsers do not accept this operating system again. It is too slow, its not playing some movies and few that its playing are even skipping. I don't know anything about laptops and I don't know any I.T person that can put me through. When I put it on on Saturday, it was too slow to response, it took like 6 minutes before I could access Microsoft Office on the system and right now its not even booting. I was thinking of formatting it. Pls N/landers can I use it for my school activities? What are the things that ought to be done in the system?

Yes I saw them |
Amin. Thank you so much |
Thank you bro. I've prayed about it |
It happened around 9pm today. I had went to the bus stop to wait for and collect load from my brother that was coming from Abuja. I was coming with my bro, I carried the load and we've crossed the other side of the road, suddenly a Marwa veered to where I was and it hit me. I found myself on the other side of the busy road, laying down motionlessly and all I could see was my late parents beckoning to me to come closer. I was resuscitated by the noise of those onlookers, I faintly heard them shouting "he don die, he no breath, You don kill person, police station" et al. My brother was weeping and even shouting " oti pa aburo mi" (you've killed my younger brother) not before he saw that I've been resuscitated. I was taken to a nearby clinic afterwards and got me treated. I even told my friend that I was coming, o that I just wanted to carry load for my brother, not knowing that the next minute is not promised. What could have been the story? A Muslim faithful died on Eid Night or A young guy died few days to his birthday? My family would have been in perpetual sorrow.

Good afternoon everyone. Someone used my ATM card to borrow money from Xcredit without my knowledge. I'm being debited anytime I receive a credit alert. How can I put a stop to this? Someone suggested I blocked the ATM card and collect new one. Will this work?

Is it not State High School that I know? Their females together with Government Girls College females are always frolicking with these guys Every time. They can fight from Oyewole to Mulero. You'll be seeing them in GODLUX, a popular hotel at Agege, every closing hour with uniforms. That is not rape. It is a consensual thing. |

My thoughts too I don't want to lose this scholarship offer |
Good afternoon my N'landers, I am in a dividing point of my life. I have been choosing LASU in my UTME for the past four years, yet I wasn't given an admission until this morning that the institution offered me admission to study my dream course. Sometime last year, I applied for a scholarship at Crescent University, Abeokuta. I did ace the school and scholarship exams, and I was awarded a scholarship to study my dream course. My first semester exam starts next week and I am torn between LASU and CRESCENT UNIVERSITY. I don't know which one to choose, considering Crescent University fast academic calendar and the fact that its on scholarship. I don't know if I can use Crescent University certificate secure a job after my studies here. Should I continue with my studies here at Crescent University or I should accept LASU admission and resume school in July? Ps: I'll be in 200L same July if I continue my studies here. Crescent University is a private university. |
