single mummyhood get categories, I salute my mom n FYI i wasnt born out of wedlock but i was raised by mum alone with my siblings. i feel her pain, she worked so hard to give us the best and what more can i say, she's my hero!

a whole year and half?? i would forgive but i must have moved on, if you wont trust me enough n believed a lie for 18months then u probably aint good enoough for me

eros love is very important and strengthens the bond esp in the beginning but i believe before you can say you love someone enough to say 'i do' your love must have progressed way beyond eros not necessarily agape cos i take agape as spiritual, Agape is the ultimate love unconditional, even if you turn to witch or python agape still loves. I take in-between as good enough just like 'do me i do u' or 'give and take' kind, as long as it is human being you wan marry, all we can do is pray and hope for the best but people change and makes you wonder. As individuals too everyone has their elastic limit a point they can no longer tolerate their partner's madness or whatever it is. I dont believe agape love works with humans cos 'angel' can turn 'devil' overnight

i'm not lonely, not ready for kids and i can get by without sex the only part about being single i dont like is just the mounting pressures from people around me to get married as if marriage is the ultimate achievement in life.

Its not bad for parents to boast about their kids if it is connected to a substantial accomplishment but some kids let it get into their heads. I feel good when my parents do that, it feels good

i felt embarrassed to hear him say a thing like that too at first considering his level of exposure, but honestly there are still parents out there who will never talk about sex to their teenagers. I was 25 the first time my own mom ever mentioned sex and all she said was ' u know premarital sex is a sin' n i replied 'yes i know' and walked away just because i told her i will be staying at a friends place when i'm out of town, and i was amazed after 6yrs in a boarding school and 5yrs in university without close supervision or thinking i possibly knew better. i tot that was the most ridiculous thing iv heard her say to me. besides I love my mom

At mother's day get-together last night with family friends, a single father of a 17-yr old girl (the girl spent her first 10yrs in naija) was saying he was confused about the decision to take his daughter to his doctor to discuss about birth control cos to him its like giving her free license to sex but she's in first yr college n sex is in d air in colleges,he said he cant talk to her about it but he said he told her if she ever gets pregnant she's in OYO n going back to naija. I think saying that was just enough, i wouldnt take my child on dat kind of mission either. How do you parents deal with teenagers and issues with sex

If I do get married, I would want it to be a very quiet and private affair. When I say private, I mean like 10 people or less, and that's including myself, the groom, and pastor or whomever. Just a handful of witnesses. I wouldn't want to wear a white wedding dress. It would be a very soft and subtle pink. Nothing big. Just a simple dress. No train or anything. Afterwards, a small luncheon. Everything being seaside

i echo you minus the 'everything being seasided' but, my parents would be a hard knot to crack here but its MY wedding and i'm saving them money too

I heard this many years back now from two different elders about moin-moin. I want to know if anyone else has ever heard the superstitious belief that moin-moin can never get done if a pregnant woman/ a woman having her period cooks it. The second time i heard it i actually saw the moin-moin not done for about 2hrs and then she asked if she was having her period then tied 3 knots with leaf n put inside the pot.

my kid brother used to smoke both thumbs i rem mum wrapped plaster round it, used bitter leaf but he still wont stop not to talk of verbal threats n spanking, she once cut his fingers n when i think about it i tot dat was the most cruel thing she could do. but he stopped finally about 11yrs old as he grew he only smoked in secret or when he was asleep. I dont think its anything really serious you can tell them to stop n remove from their mouth as often as u could but i wont go as far as hurting a child or spanking they will surely outgrow it.

I broke up wit my ex cos he serviced girls at his primary place of assignment n got 1 of dem pregnant n at my end it was really hard even nccf brodas dey harrass no b small, i did stray askd for a break though then before knowin about his own escapades
