Explosive Claim: El-Rufai a Political Proxy for Atiku in SDP – Galadima

A chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Buba Galadima, has claimed that former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai is only serving as a “placeholder” for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Galadima, a former National Secretary of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), also spoke about an emerging opposition coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections. The goal of the coalition is to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who won the last election under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In March, Atiku and other opposition leaders held a press conference where they criticized President Tinubu’s handling of the political crisis in Rivers State. It was at that event Atiku announced the formation of a united opposition front. Since then, not much has been heard about the progress of the coalition.

When asked about El-Rufai’s involvement in building a movement through the SDP, Galadima revealed he had not met El-Rufai personally but had discussions with members of his team.

“Well, not El-Rufai himself, but some of his associates, including the chairman of the SDP, visited me. We had a lengthy discussion, and I shared my views with them. I am confident that my perspective will prevail because El-Rufai cannot lead an opposition. It’s simply the law of karma catching up with him.”

He continued, accusing El-Rufai of lacking public trust due to past betrayals.

“He has made many harmful statements and hurt countless people, and in fact, he has hurt God in several ways. I don’t believe God will allow him to succeed. It is only an insane person who does not understand politics or has no history who can follow El-Rufai.”

“He has ditched a lot of people; he ditched Atiku, he ditched Obasanjo, he ditched Buhari, and he now ditched Tinubu. So, someone with this kind of record, I don’t think if you are sensible, you will follow him.”

Galadima argued that opposition coalitions should form closer to election season, not this early in the administration.

“No opposition runs a marathon race. The opposition doesn’t, it’s a sprint, a 100-meter dash. El-Rufai is starting early. By the time it is the third year, he must have been dismembered. It’s because he’s not a politician, or because God is pushing him because of the bad things he did against the people to suffer.”

On whether any group had approached NNPP 2023 presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for coalition talks, Galadima confirmed that many had, including El-Rufai.

“So many people have been talking to Kwankwaso. I must confess, even El-Rufai spoke to him… A lot of people are doing underground talking. And that is what it should be. If you are talking about a coalition, you should be looking at the middle of next year, not now…”

Speaking on the state of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Galadima declared it “destroyed” and beyond repair.

Farotimi: Peter Obi Still Remain My Choice For 2027

Human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi, has said he will continue to support Peter Obi if he contests the presidency in 2027.

Farotimi, however, described early discussions about the 2027 elections as a distraction.

He stated this during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics programme on Sunday.

“If elections where our votes will count were held today, I would vote for Peter Gregory Obi, unless somebody else enters the race who I believe can do better.

“If it’s still the same line-up as last time, I will definitely be voting for Peter Obi.

“I hope he will be a little bolder with his policy platforms, but frankly speaking, in terms of capacity and integrity, there’s no one else I would support,” he said.

Farotimi said it would take something very significant to change his mind.

He added, “Something drastic would have to happen for me to decide not to support Peter Obi. It might be that he aligns with some objectionable individuals I cannot tolerate and that’s a real possibility. However, outside of that, there’s no one else.”

2027: Presidency Drop Advice For Atiku Ahead Of General Poll

The special adviser to the president on policy and communication, Daniel Bwala has said that it might not have been the will of God for Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president of Nigeria to govern the country.

Speaking during an interview on TVC, Bwala said if given the opportunity to have a moment with Atiku, he would advise him to shelve any ambition to contest in the next presidential election.

According to Bwala, becoming a president may not have been Atiku’s destiny.

“If I have the opportunity to meet him face to face, what I will tell him is just this: ‘Your Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, you have to believe in destiny.

“God gives power to whomsoever He chooses. And it seems from the facts on the ground that it may not have been the will of God for you to govern Nigeria,” Bwala said.

The presidential spokesperson also urged the former vice president to do well by aligning with Bola Tinubu and his administration to work together towards building a great nation.

“There are many other ways you can contribute. Since you have been a friend to President Bola Tinubu for many years, come together and bring your contribution towards the Nigeria that both of you wanted to create for the Nigerian people,” he said.

“Your legacy will be that in your political dying days, you will be able to achieve some of your dreams, albeit through your friend.

“But if he insists that he wants to run and he wants to become the president, as we have already seen it playing out, his political ending might not be as palatable as he’s thinking,” he said. CONTINUE READING.. https://leadnaija.com/2027-presidency-drop-advice-for-atiku-ahead-of-general-poll/

"Why People Pray and Don’t Receive Answers" – Apostle Johnson Suleman Reveal Real Secret (Watch Video)

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the founder and senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries International, has explained why some people pray but fail to receive answers.

In a recent sermon streamed on YouTube, the cleric emphasized the importance of approaching God with the right mindset when praying.

According to Suleman, every kingdom has a system, structure, and culture that must be followed to achieve results. He explained that the Kingdom of God operates by specific principles, and failure to adhere to them may hinder prayers from being answered.

“There are syllables and an organogram of operation in every kingdom,” Suleman said. “There is a way to live and operate in this Kingdom. There is a way to package yourself to get results.”

Using the biblical account of David as an example, he highlighted how the king approached God with confidence and a sense of direction rather than desperation or self-pity. Suleman referenced a scripture where David, instead of lamenting about his predicament, went to God and asked, "Shall I pursue? Shall I overtake?"

He stressed that many people fail in prayer because they approach God with a defeated mentality, focusing on their problems rather than seeking solutions.

“The reason most people don’t see answers even in the place of prayer is that they come with a defeated mindset, asking, ‘Oh God, why? Why did You let this happen to me?’” Suleman said. “No! When you stand before the King, there is no time for pity. Make a demand on what you expect.”

He urged believers to approach God’s presence with confidence and a positive mentality, understanding that faith-filled prayers yield results. Instead of lamenting over challenges, he advised them to present their requests boldly and trust in God’s ability to deliver.

Suleman concluded by reminding Christians that effective prayer requires faith, a right attitude, and alignment with the principles of God’s Kingdom.

"We Settle That, Oga" Wike Replied Tinubu Over 2027 Election Threaten

According to Guardian, President Bola Tinubu has praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for his impressive leadership, emphasizing that his efforts should secure victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja come 2027.

Despite Wike still being a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Tinubu made it clear that the political stakes are high.

Speaking at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where Wike led a high-profile delegation for a Sallah homage, Tinubu acknowledged the Minister’s transformational work in the FCT. The delegation, comprising top officials, religious leaders, and security heads, gathered to mark the end of Ramadan fasting and the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

Tinubu commended Wike’s infrastructural achievements, calling him “Mr. Infrastructure.”

The President stressed that under Wike’s leadership, Abuja has witnessed major improvements, from road networks to healthcare and education facilities. He highlighted how these initiatives have positively impacted residents, making the FCT a more livable and efficient capital.

Rivers Crisis: PDP Demands Proof, As APC Insists On Thorough Probe Over Allegations Against Fubara

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State have expressed divergent views on the weighty allegations levelled against the suspended Governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara.

DAILY POST recalls that the former Head of Service in Rivers State, Dr George Nwaeke escalated the political tension in the state on Saturday after reeling out allegations against the embattled governor.

Nwaeke, who recently resigned from Fubara’s government, alleged that the governor orchestrated the bombing of the State House of Assembly complex in 2023 to prevent his impeachment by lawmakers loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

The former Head of Service claimed to have witnessed a bag of money being handed over to a former leader of the Assembly, who later became Fubara’s Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie, to attack the Assembly Complex situated along Moscow Road, Port Harcourt.

Nwaeke also alleged that Governor Fubara was planning to bomb oil facilities in the Niger Delta in a bid to get President Bola Tinubu-led administration tainted.

According to Nwaeke, Fubara “clearly” told him “that he is the chief security officer of Rivers State and his brother is in charge of Bayelsa State, and all the pipelines are under their care; that at the appropriate time, they would tell the boys what to do, and the fund was not an issue.

“That was why when he made that statement in his public function that “I will tell the boys what to do at the appropriate time” I knew something was up and perhaps the time was near”.

He claimed that Governor Fubara’s plan was to start from “non-Ijaw speaking areas to destroy oil facilities“, stating that the move was to “remove attention from the Ijaw and make it have a statewide look”.

Nwaeke further alleged a secret meeting between Fubara and some national opposition figures to support a Northern candidate, possibly Bala Mohammed for the 2027 election.

This is even as Nwaeke’s wife, Mrs Florence Nwaeke also called for help, claiming that her husband was in trouble.

Speaking to journalists shortly after her husband’s outburst, Mrs Florence expressed fears for Nwaeke’s safety, stating that he could be under duress to make the allegations.

The allegations stirred a serious political debate as Fubara and Wike’s supporters clashed online.

In separate interviews with DAILY POST, weekend, the public secretary of the PDP, Sydney Gbara and his APC counterpart, Ikenga Chibike gave conflicting views on the matter.

Nwaeke should show proof of allegations, he has been used – PDP

Sydney Gbara told DAILY POST that the allegations levelled against Fubara by Nwaeke were politically motivated.

The PDP spokesman, who urged the former HoS to substantiate his claims by publishing poofs, said Nwaeke was only being used by Fubara’s enemies to further cripple the suspended governor.

He said, “Rivers State is currently going through a turbulence and trying time. Politics has been taken off limits to nearly everything even up to how we breathe in and out. Everything in Rivers State has been politicized.

“Ordinarily, one could ask why and how a man, who served in the government as Head of Service could say all these.

“He was due to serve as Head of Service under Wike but Wike refused to pick him and appointed someone else.

“He had retired and was no longer in active service when Governor Fubara felt he wasn’t given the opportunity he deserved to serve in that high capacity. The governor now appointed him but this is the way he is telling the governor ‘thank you’.

“It was so shocking seeing him coming to give such allegations. I think there is a sinister plot to victimize innocent citizens.

“They are after everyone that they feel is strong in Fubara’s government. They want to implicate everyone including the governor.

The immediate past minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has opened up on the ongoing rift between Nyesom Wike, a former governor of Rivers State and his successor, Siminalayi Fubara.

In a video seen by Politics Nigeria, Amaechi alleged that the sharing of funds is the major culprit in the beef between the minister of the Federal Capital Territory and the suspended Rivers State governor.

According to Amaechi, the warring parties need to come publicly and explain to Nigerians the real reason for their rift.

Amaechi said, “Okay, so the fight between the former governor of Rivers State – the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and the current governor is about sharing money.”

“If not what’s the quarrel, the truth is that Nigerians don’t dislike corruption again because I’ve not seen anybody on the streets shouting about what is the quarrel.

“If not can both of them come to the public and tell us what the quarrel is about,” the former governor said.

Pastor Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM), has outlined the spiritual implications of refusing to marry a woman after deflowering her.

"It's Your Choice To Say Yes" - Veteran Actor, Jide Kosoko Speaks On Sex-for-role Syndrome In Film Industry (VIDEO)

Veteran Nollywood actor, Jide Kosoko, has spoken about the existence of sex-for-role practice in the Nigerian movie industry, advising actresses to take a stand and say no when it is proposed to them.

He made his position known as the latest guest on the Honest Bunch podcast, where he stressed that no actress can be forced to accept a sex-for-role proposal.

The veteran actor insisted that “If anybody introduces anything to you, if you’re not interested, say no.”

He, however, added that if the disposition of an actress to a sex-for-role proposal from a filmmaker is positive, such a person can go ahead, saying “that means you want to dance to his tune.”

Jide Kosoko, therefore, clarified that his position does not in any way justify the practice of sex-for-role. Instead, actresses who fall for the antics of filmmakers engaging in this practice should take responsibility for their decision and stop bothering the public with it.

He said, “I don’t understand, if I say I need you to come and warm my bed so that I can give you this role, and you say no, you don’t want, Go! You don’t want! They cannot force you to that. If anybody introduces anything to you, if you’re not interested, say no.

"But if you want that role by all means, that means you want to dance to his tune. I’m not saying he’s right to have introduced that to you but if he says it one way or the other, and you fall to it, that’s your business, how does that concern the whole world?”

Speaking further on the podcast, the veteran actor also discussed the extent to which some actresses go to for fame.

FLASHBACK: Rivers; Wike Condemned Godfatherism, Advised Ambode To Resist Tinubu's Influence

Amid the fallout of the political imbroglio between the suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and his alienated political benefactor, Nyesom Wike, a 2018 interview has resurfaced, in which the latter was seen condemning the scourge of godfatherism in Nigerian politics.

Speaking on The Osasu Show in September 2018, then-Rivers State Governor, Wike, advised his Lagos counterpart at the time, Akinwunmi Ambode, to reject godfatherism in his state.

He urged Ambode to prioritise Lagos's interests over those of President Bola Tinubu, who was widely regarded as the godfather of Lagos politics.

His remarks followed a series of events in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which culminated in Ambode failing to secure his party's second-term ticket to run for re-election in 2019.

This was after it became obvious that the former Governor had fallen out with Tinubu, who nominated and backed him for the job four years earlier. Many believed the disagreement stemmed from Ambode's alleged abandonment of the party structure put in place by Tinubu and alienation of some loyalists of the APC leader.

The APC later settled for Babajide Sanwo-Olu, another of Tinubu's anointed candidates, who went on to win the party's ticket and the governorship election.

Wike's advice to Ambode haunts him years later

Meanwhile, Wike spoke against the APC's treatment of Ambode, claiming it can never be tolerated in Rivers State.

“If it is correct that the godfather is against Ambode, I will tell him (Ambode) to resist it. I will tell him to promote the interests of his state,” Wike said on The Osasu Show.

“Godfatherism is not good. It negates development. No more godfather politics in Rivers state. We are not in Lagos state. Rivers state will not accept godfatherism. My concern is to do well for Rivers state.”

Fast-forward to 2023. A similar situation broke out in Rivers, where Wike embarked on a warpath with Fubara, whom he had hand-picked as his successor.

The first crack appeared in October 2023, when tensions flared over who controls the state's political machinery. The rift slowly degenerated into a full-blown crisis, causing a breakdown of law and order in the South-South state.

The crisis escalated on October 29, when an attempt to commence impeachment proceedings against Fubara led to the demolition of the Rivers State House of Assembly complex, an act the embattled Governor has been fingered for.

However, Tinubu brokered a peace deal between the warring parties at a meeting at the Presidential Villa in December 2023, but things further degenerated after both camps walked away from the pact.

Buhari's Loyalists Allegedly Plotting To Leave APC As Full List Emerges

The All Progressives Congress (APC) may have a tough time ahead of it following the defection of the immediate past governor of Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai, to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) on Monday, March 10.

El-Rufai, who was one of the loyalists of the immediate past President Muhammadu Buhari, stated that there was a growing misalignment between the current direction of the APC and his personal values, which was his reason for dumping the ruling party.

El-Rufai raised concerns about APC

Speaking on Wednesday, March 12, the former governor said he has raised concerns about the ruling party both in private and in public. He said he came to the conclusion to dump the APC and join the SDP.

However, The Punch reported that El-Rufai is not the only leader in the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) faction of the APC who is leaving the party. Recall that the CPC was the former President Buhari's bloc that formed the APC ahead of the 2015 general election.

According to The Sun, the CPC faction of the APC has insisted that they are leaving the APC because they were not satisfied with the current leadership of the party. The CPC was being controlled by four leaders, Buhari and El-Rufai were among them.

Uba Sani: Politicians Opposing Tinubu For Power Sake, Not Progress

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has strongly criticized the coalition of politicians recently assembled to criticize the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He accused them of opposing the government solely for the sake of power rather than offering better solutions to Nigeria’s challenges.

The governor stated that none of the coalition members can rival Tinubu’s democratic credentials, emphasizing that the President fought for and remains committed to democracy.

Last week, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi among other top politicians gathered at a conference in Abuja, where they criticized President Tinubu and the ruling party.

Speaking during an interview aired by TVC News on Monday, Governor Sani described the allegations made by the coalition as baseless.
