Jobs/Vacancies › Re: What Is The Implication Of Accepting A Job Without An Employment Letter? by Ayoola171(m): 12:09am On Sep 12, 2016 |
KillerBeauty: I recently just got a job and i wasn't offered an employment letter. They just told me my salary, period of probation and when to resume verbally without making it official. I'm kind of skeptical about the offer because the firm is a new one. I want to know the implication of this before committing myself to the job. Hello, may God crown our effort. Don't mind my different opinion and don't bother if the said company is outside Lagos. After reading your question, i was inspired to ask you some few questions due to the fellow i knew that had similar experience. Though you stated that is a new company, but like how many staffs do you met during recruitment process? Did the company have a functional office? Do you normally have meeting with the CEO of the said company around un-official enviroments like hotel lounge or Mr. Biggs? Those that recruit you are a black man as chairman and a bit fair man as the assistance? Their names start with " " and "V" respectively? If the company you're taking about has different features from all these clues, then you can go ahead and ask for your employment letter. But if all i said are common to them, then we can talk more. All the best. |

seunmsg: According to him, Dudafa had on March 22, 2010 brought two Skye Bank officers, Demola Bolodeoku and Dipo Oshodi, to meet Patience at home to open five accounts. The deponent claimed that Patience was the sole signatory to the accounts. He, however, claimed that after the five accounts were opened, Patience later discovered that Dudafa opened only one of the accounts in her name, while the other four were opened in the names of companies belonging to Dudafa. Somiari added, “The applicant
This woman and her handlers must think that Nigerians are fools. She signed all the five account opening documents herself and she's now claiming many years later that she's not aware that only one of the accounts was opened in her name and the others, in the name of companies she had no interest in whatsoever. But she conveniently used the account up till July this year before they were frozen. It is very clear to all discerning mind that they perfected the dubious arrangement just to hide the identity of the real owner of the accounts. If this is not a clear case of money laundering, I wonder what it is.
EFCC should immediately arrest and charge Patience Jonathan to court for corruption and money laundering. Dudafa should not be the fall guy, patience must be tried as well. There must be no sacred cow in the fight against corruption. What more can i say to this your wonderful observation and comments than "Thank You". Just little contribution, after the account was opened and she discovered that those accounts are not in her names against her wish as she claimed, the whole so call bank manager visited her and she instructed him to effect the change which the manager later informed her that the change has been effected, is she now saying she could not confirm from the bank that are request has been granted, at least through bank alert when ever the transaction is made, also the bank manager promised her that once the debit card that reflect her name is ready, it will be delivered to her but nothing like that, but she kept quiet over sensitive issues and keep enjoying herself. Indeed great harm is done; whenever unqualified personnels are promoted to the position of leadership. How i wish am the Judge that will rule over this case, anyway there is God ooooo in her own voice. |

TonyeBarcanista: You see in this country will majority of "educated" people who are only concerned about the symptoms of a problem but not really the disease itself.
In saner climes, citizens will look at the statistics, verify it, and look at what went wrong to really ascertain the problem of our growing challenges. But in this country, that won't be.
As for that on the Present Administration, it will be available in due time. Then we can look at our savings, debts, and reserve health and see if there will be any justification or otherwise. Thank you boss for bringing this up, the Erudite of our time, more wisdom to your brain. Figures and fact will not lie, i don't have any personal issues with Jonathan, assume He (Jonathan) build on the lagacies left behind by Olusegun Okikiola Obasanjo and Yar' adua, Nigeria could have been far better than where we are today, though Obasanjo has never be a perfect man; which i don't expect him to be, he had contributed his quota to the total well being of this Nation, figures are their to justify my claim in terms of his achievement on Foreign Reserve, External debt, ECA, Growth drive in Economy, Security and so on. Also Yar' adua, was able to sustain and buid on what Obasanjo left behind, not that Jonathan is not without his own achivement but considering all the opportunites at his disposal, he could have done wonderfully well, and most likely we might not find ourself in this urgly situation we are facing presently. For APC admistration lead by Buhari, i think they should stop pointing accusing fingers and forget the blame game, they need to take responsibity for their actions or in-action, what matter to us now is for them to delivered on campaign promises and Economic indices and total well-being of the Nation shall form the determinat factors to measure their contributions to the bottom line. God bless Nigeria |

Thank you op for bringing this up, i passed through that place not quite long and i was afraid, the matter is not about damaging propeties alone; if proactive measures is not taken, it can fall unexpectedly on any veichle moving along that road and it will lead to people's death and lost of properties which can be avoided. Prevention is better and cheaper than cure. |

How can you define Budget padding that is not even contained in the English dictionary, talk more economics text book?
Oga Dulllardinho and his fellow looters of returned loot are just busy helping themselves secretly and using new codes to rename the stealing. If you catch them, they will say they don't know what the new name means.[/size] You can define budget padding using Orubebe and Jega approach i.e not untill budget padding exist in English dictionary. For instance, if you Orubebe me; i will Jega you. I think that's understandable. Now, we can say Budget padding can be define as someone's ability to dubiously alter the National Budget to enrich one's pocket, without violating National Constitution. |

calculusx: Miss Minister Inflicting Pain and hardship on Nigerians all because you want to raise revenue?
I don't understand her kind of economics, increasing tariff discourage importation which means many jobs will be lost. Grimaldi has sacked almost 80% of their drivers because few people still import Cars.
High Tariff means low revenue. Why not reduce tariff to encourage importation so you can generate more revenue since we can't manufacture Cars in Nigeria for now.

modath: Wike and Secondus will just job Atiku!! They and their acolytes will milk that cash cow till it kills over (pun intended)....
Atiku's inordinate ambition has robbed him of all objectivity and realistic view of his political stock, of which he never had much of so no one can claim bankruptcy..
Buhari recorded 3 failed presidential bids but one thing that always stood out was the fact that he always won NW states decisively and also recorded a very good % of votes in the NE as well...
I understand ambition but when someone has tried 4x and couldn't even secure Adamawa votes on each occassion (lost to Buhari during APC primary), should that not have impressed upon him the simple truth that money does not buy political relevance? action and "perception" are the main koko.
Atiku is a Fulani like Buhari so no one should drink the tribal Kool aid, some people just are naturally charismatic while some will have to adopt a different approach to even keep up..
This money wey just dey scratch him for body, he should try spend tashere on some of our promising athletes, maybe dem for win medals and we too go begin look am better!!

Folafikemi: Hey @ayoola, i was dere today and d interview went well. The basis of it all is about marketing their brand to potential students to come and register with them. I was told that my targets are 8client per month and d salary is 70k per month. Where u unabyto meet up with the target ur salary isn't sure. So to me i don't think its worth it for me cos i need something more realistic. Thanks jare big bros, as i said yesterday; i was so skeptical about that offer that's why i was asking if that interview should be honoured, but i even mistaken the time to be monday instead of Sarturday i.e today. I've guess what you just explained must have be the nature of that jobs; which i can not take, also; distance because am staying at Sango Ota, going to Ikorodu for an interview for such job does not worth the stress. For the fact that you're able to attend is not a waste, you must have gain one or two things that could be of help in consequent interviews, so let keep the hope alive. Our testimonies shall come sooner by God grace. I salute your courage. |
