Their is no particular fixed prices for birds
And this issue of boarder closure don't forget that birds have alternative like Beef,pork and fish so its not an item that has complete monopoly of protein
Then on ur price fixing first thing to consider is ur total cost , next is d initial price range birds of ur size are sold in ur area
Example
Using Ibadan Iwo road as a case study , if normally a 4kg broiler is sold for 4000 at Christmas ,then I raised 4kg broilers and my cost of expenditure is 2000 now knowing that past Christmas such birds are sold for 4000 and there is possibility of price rise this year but am really not interested to wait and see everything I can peg mine at 3800 and get clearance sale cos I know am making 1800 on each but some other person can decide to put d prices at 4500-up it all depends on cost of production and d area prevailing prices

2. I've used breedwell professional in dere 1st 19 days & dey are big enough but switch to breedwell starter commercial 15 - 28 days pellet but i think they are not getting big d way i want. have u used d 15-28days pellet b4? how can i increase dere weight and size?

the birds are 34 days (a day to 5 weeks)

This time, i am going with Farmsupport arbor acre plus breed. Feed formulated with concentrate and mixed with a private label feed addictive including enzymes.

The sad news is that out of the 102 broilers, 3 was crushed to death in the vehicle and another 2 stolen by who knows. I was given 3 broilers from someones Agrited cartoon.

Summary of current stock is 97 abor acre plus from Farmsupport and 3 Ross308 from agrited totalling 100 broilers. Brooding for the first time in a room unlike previously where i brood directly in the pen.

So far only glucose is given to them in water.

I'll be using breedwell starter crumble. how much is Monesin and where can I get it?

I just finished readjusting the height and size of my pen at home to take 100 plus broilers comfortably. My initial goal was to rent a pen close to my area to raise at least 300 broilers but all seem to be unavailable. At least my freezers will be working to its capacity now.

My next batch might be available from next week. I might include monensin to avoid use of any drug at all or might want to see if the feed additives (probotics, enzymes) might be enough to keep cocci at bay.
Its currently been used on a farm of a friend and at least i should be able to monitor the performance before mine arrives.

Book 6-7kg feed per broiler. Thats 300kg (12 bags ) to 350kg (14 bags) feed but your weight should be above 3kg

Kerosene stove is a no no in poultry farming especially if the room is not opened. Don't blame agrited.

I'm planning to get agrited in 10days time to raise till Xmas. does that mean I should get my birds from another source rather dan agrited?
