Basildon1:Real that you message again, do you think a sane man who in the past have sinned and ve been forgiven post that to someone in need? Shame on you cos the OP will get help and she will be forgiven. She will not die. If you do not know what to say must you say anything? babla |
What an interesting issue that has revealed how many pharisees and Sadducee we've got on NL. Someone confess that she knows what she is doing is bad rather than given the right counsel, we are exploring ways of magnifying the problem for the OP. So who is here that has not sin before? The problem is that you consider one sin as more grave than the others. No wonder they brought an adulterous woman to Jesus for judgment and Jesus said "let him without sin be the first to cast a stone" and none could. Not that all were adulterers but all were sinners. @ OP, your first step of getting to know u have sinned is commendable. Just like the "adulterous woman" was brought to Jesus, you need to go to him? How? The example was when David sinned by sleeping with Uriah's wife. He was accountable to God through a prophet. You need an oversight in your life that you will be accountable to. Someone who has wisdom of God to deal with your situation. I will not rush to suggest your Pastor cos I do not know him. But you need someone who by the wisdom of God will DISCIPLINE you but not DESTROY you. Sexual sins thrives when in secrecy. Look for an accountable oversight that can ask you tough questions. Since you are in Lagos, try talking to CHAZ B on sharing life issue, Inspiration FM, 92.3 111E Amazing grace Plaza, Ligali Ayorinde, VI lagos, you can talk to Pastor Tony Rapu as well- has several city centre church across lagos- google the address, you can also try and locate Awosika of Chair centre- you can link her up at Fountain of Life Church Ilupeju. I know there are several others who can help but have only mentioned these cos I knwo them well. They will counsel you through, give assistance to any length to get you out of these. I trust CHAZ B, he has other contacts too that I do not know. The Lord will save you and restore you. I have heard people say there is a law of Karma, but there is a law that can reverse Karma if you appropriate that law- it is called the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. " Blessed is the man whom God has forgiven, and whose record of sin God does not remember" . Act fast, there is hope for you. And to you that says she is daft to repeat the statement that she is in love, I quite share your sentiments but you really do not understand the POWER OF SIN TO HOLD A MAN CAPTIVE. How many times have you repeated bad things that you have sworn never to do again? Do not qualify sin, SIN IS SIN no matter how saintly they might appear. |
hbrednic:@OP, did you not type that because of your lazy mind? Or did you type that because you truly believe that PDP is the party that will move Nigeria forward? Hear Loud and clear, you will explain to your children what you did when this mess was going on. Lazy gluttons. |
owobokiri:What you do not learn under righteous authority, you will learn under unrighteous authority. It is your choice. I don't know what you mean by not being a cow but sincerely, you are talking like one cos it is only a cow that is being treated the way PDP is treating the nation, yet they are comfortable with it. |
Porka: You have only shown from your post the prejudice you have for this man called Bakare and take it or leave it, He is a voice that cannot be ignored in the nation today. Howbeit you speak about Buhari promising him something about sovereign national conference? Do you even know what that means? What are the benefits of SNC to Bakare and his family? You have only show from your post that you lack good sense of judgement and probably not schooled in public debate. Did you not read where Bakare said that only Buhari could not move the nation forward? Did you read his response to zoning that we need the best of the south, north, east and west to team up together move the nation forward? And you come here that he is giving it all to Buhari. Did you not read where he said that he has seen Buhari only as the only person with no corrupt charge against and no self accumulation of wealth? Are those things true or not? Is corruption not the major problem in Nigeria politics? If we have a leader with no corrupt charge and will power to fight corruption, teamed up with excellent guys like Utomi, Fashola, and some other technocrats dont you think we will move forward? The problem is that you guys are sentimental and cannot stand another hausa man grabbing power but have failed to understand that those people you called your own have never done anything to better your life. Obj ruled for 8 yrs and did not do the road leading to his farm in otta yet commissioning private projects for his allies like Daniel and co before they parted ways. For your information Gbenga Daniel and Bakare are childhood friend and till today they are still friends but when it comes to saying the truth, the man pitch tent with truth and not friendship. So Ogun governor is not is enemy as you want us to believe. He only mentioned him in this case cos Daniel is the campaign coordinator of Jonathan and how come a man seeking to lead us choosing cronic warlords as associate.? So guy stop prejudice and be more objective in ur comments. |
@ Nsima Bakare only needs relevance in gej's admin, he is trickish but God that brought up gej this far will surely end it well for gej and nigerians on thursday and beyond april. Truly, Every People deserve the kind of leader they have |
While can't you guys on nairaland choose to be objective once and stop all these rantlings based on emotion and sentiments. What is wrong in if my husband, wife, or anybody being in office before and I choose to run for political office? If it is done in America, it is ok but in Nigeria, it is a taboo. You have only shown the depth of your mental colonialism by the west. Talk about issues and stop attacking personalities. Who is Remi Tinubu? What do u guys know about her? What has been her contribution thus far to Lagos? What is her Qualification? Why is she going into the senate? What is her Motivation? Are the people there now or those Apiring to be there better than her? Why should Hilary context and she cannot? Why should Bush Junior be president after being a governor and the father a past President? Get this fact, if parents has laboured hard to build a name, the coming generation after them will have it easy if they have the right Focus, after alll, Awolowo son's and MKO's have chosen not be involved for now. Instead of this emotional sentiments, you guys should rather concentrate channeling your energy towards building a lasting legacy for your next generation so dat they wont serve the son's of the people you served all your life. |
@ Ilugunboy
This man should stay back on his pulpit and stop hugging the pressmen. I definitely have my resevations on this press interviews he grants on daily basis and all directed at attacking GEJ. Can he attack an Hausa/Fulani president like he does GEJ?
Are you a teenager? or are you new in this country? Where were you during the days of Abacha, Are you aware he even left Lagos to Kano to declare God's Mandate on Abacha, Well not surprised, most Nigerians have short memory and we are about to repeat past mistakes, |
To Every Christian and Church Goers on Nairaland: I am still dumbfounded with the show of "Too Know" and "Unteachable Attitude" many of us showcase on this forum. No wonder things are not changing despite so many religious activities going on in the land- HEAVENLY BOUND BUT EARTHLY IRRELEVANT. I have heard many comments from so called christians that pastor should not be partisan but to only stay in church and preah Gospel as that was the assignment given to them by God. Were you there when God gave them assignment? How come you limit there territory of their influence to the church and not politics? Just think to these thoughts. Is there a role the church of God needs to play in the emmergence of a true nation? Or we should continue to suffer until Jesus comes to take us home and do nothing about our polity. Then y should i pay my tax if my allegiance is only to God? What roles did Prophets of old Like Samuel, Elijah, Elisha, Obadiah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Amos etc played in Governmental structures in their days? Did Paul stood before Agrippa to defend his teaching. Was he just reading the Scrolls, Remember most of the things we are reading about Paul today was not available for him to read, He lived a normal Life and was inspired by God to write them down for our learning, reproof, corrections so that we can continue where they stopped. I CHALLENGE YOU ALL BAKARE CRITICS TO BRING IT OUT EXPRESSLY WHERE IT IS WRITTEN IN THE SCRIPTURE THAT GOD'S MINISTERS MUST NOT BE PARTISAN AND MUST NOT MENTION THE NAME OF GOVERNMENTAL LEADERS (KINGS) WHEN FUNCTIONING IN THEIR OFFICE, ELSE KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT AND LISTEN TO WISDOM WHEN PEOPLE WITH WISDOM SPEAKS TO YOU. God through Noah prophesied that Nineveh will be destroyed and when they prayed God change his mind, My rebuke is to you christians who think they know what to do BUT VERY CLUELESS. My advice: no prophet is God. You have duty and responsibility to do what you like in the same manner BAKARE has every right to bring timely warning to the NATION, It is in our HANDS, Wether to continue with the same party who has ruled for 12years without improving our lives or to use our sovereignty to tell them Enough is Enough and send them packing to put their house in order cos PDP is in disorder now and it is God's word, A house Divided against itself will not stand, Selah |
@ Donmeca, so what do you say of statements like this, Woe unto you, scribes and pharisees, John the baptist Elijah spoke against king Ahab, Samuel told Saul that God has rejected him to be King over Israel, and Samuel was interceeding on Saul's behalf and God said Samuel should not mention that case before him again. God said we should pray for the leaders but he did not tell us prayer points but has given us wisdom on what to do at every situation. The Bible says when the righteous are in authority the people rejoice but when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Donmeca, are we groaning or rejoicing? Say the truth. When people groan, there is a prophetic mandate on anyone with that calling to stir up the mind of the people. Please with great humility I am saying this, that man is called to do what he is doing, You may not understand him but that does not make it wrong. Lets us be open minded. People never love prophets like Isaiah, Amos, Jeremiah in the bible but they bore the mind of God to the people. Many of us commenting have never sought the mind of God about the way forward but will rather stay here analysing and criticising, Pastor is not a social critic, he is called to do what he is doing but you dont have to like it though. |
@ Donmeca, That is not being wicked? He has been contributing his quota to be part of the solution. He only said he is not interested in an elective office. You dont have to be in an elective office to cause change. Get that fact. and dont be in a hurry to look out for faults. Those statements are carefully thought out statements that will remain constant irrespective of time and situations. Be slow to speak and quick to listen. Selah, |
It is widely believe that to hide anything from an African, hide it in a book. Most Guys on this thread have shown that we are only careful about analysis and have not learnt from history. The major countries in the world today UK, USA (at least sure of those nations), there were immense contributions of religious leaders to the way the people people were being governed. John Wesley and Charles Wesley in England could be seen as church boy, but the pioneered a message that left the 4 corners of the church and spoke truth to govt about equality of every human being. The fault against racism and constitutions that support such. Martin Luther was a Rev who use his pulpit to speak truth to powers in the old USA. Fought for the oppression of the blacks. I have forgotten recently another Pastor in Arizona going against the recent laws on immigration control. Apostle Luciard Biarde in Barbados is a religious leaders that spoke vehemently against the sitting prime minister and moved people in the society against the PM to stand down a policy. There are lots of exmples. But people here have shown that they have no clue on the emmergence of a true Nation. Titus 1: 5 Paul was addressing Titus "For this reason I left you in creet, that you should set in order things that are lacking and appoint elders elders in every city as i commanded you". The church is the light of the world and to functions, church is not sitting down in a place, singing clapping, praying etc that we are doing today. We are to set things in order in every cities. I am disappointed with ignorant xtian who feels a pastor duties is just to stay in church. That shows the depth of the knowledge in our churches today. Have u not heard of Paul defence in the court of romans defending his teachings in the public place. That is not synagogue my friends. It is in seat of government. Like Pastor Tunde Bakare said, your minds need to be UNBLOCKED so dat you can start thinking. When this guy match on the street in Lagos and Abuja to ensure Jonathan becomes acting president according to the law of the land, it was ok but now cos he has spoken against him, he should stay in church. Shame on you guys thinking that way. You are like a rebelious generation like John said that will never hear the truth. Bakare has any right to bear his mind on Politics and he has rolled out some facts that none of you guys have contested. Somebody said Buhari is a Jihad evangelist, give us the proof, Is dat not the evil sentimental stories that you have been told to believe since you were young. How many fights has he sponsored? Can u produce evidence? has he threatened the Nation with violence like your candidates? Did Pastor not say only BUhari cannot rule? Did he talk about joining teams with him? Is there any case on Buhari that has not been investigated still hanging on him? Is tribalistic u say, are TInubu, Gej, Awolowo, Zik etc and us arent we? It is in our hands. I am not a supporter of Buhari so to speak. I will want someone like Utomi, Fashola and probaly Ribadu with a very strong house (Senate and Lower house) that is not dominated by any party but I am yet to see the structure that could bring these guys in yet. So what is the noise about the Pastor's comment? Let everyone do soul search and decide to remain with PDP that we have seen what they have to offer for 12yrs or cause a change. It is in our hands |
For God sake, if VWN failed when Pat Utomi was Deputy Managing Director or Managing Director he should be bold enough to tell us why they failed as managers of an organisation not to cook up stories while he was not listened to. It is a team failure. See in the case of Okocha and his France 1998 team while the team was walloped by the danish he earned himself a big buy to PSG and others were seen to be failure, was it not obvious that the youngman was actually pursuing his personal objective. PAT should tell us the truth or otherwise. @ Holesher: Are you saying Okocha did not play well in France 98 world cup to earn the PSG offer? Or was it his fault that the fellow team mates did not live up to expectations? How did he get PSG offer then? You think the offer to play for PSG is like the office of the presidency in naija where merit is not a yardstick to earn it. The example in your post grossly lack sense and I suggest you remove same without delay cos this ridicules your contributory skills |
To tell you which bank is properly managed? Check out GTB and FBN. I can vouch for these banks anyday! Mind you, I've been around for a while. Xfactoria: I was waiting for you to suggest those two banks cos I know that is the traditional comment of not too informed populace we have in the country? Question: please tell us the basis of this statement cos this same bank was grossly affected at least first bank that I know was badly expose to the capital market with over 70% of of their loans being heavily provided for. Is this not same bank whose equity was sold at 33.00 naira per unit at the primary market few years back that is still struggling to maintain 13.00 price per unit? Can you compare first bank gross earnings to their profitabilty and to you tell us the efficiency ratio of that organisation. Can you compare them with Stanbic IBTC, Standard Chartered result and Citi bank that have consistently maintain an NPL ratio of less than 10%. What happened to bank PHB is no different with investment Crash in the USA, UK and global financial market and this has call for increase in regulatory risk concern and several frameworks are being developed globally to addressed the collapse. Do not see things with one-sided lopsided corporate governance issues that have been explained for the Nigeria Banking crises. And you gave Jonathan better assessment than Utomi cos they both have PHD? So what institution has Jonathan Managed. Do you even know what it takes to run a business school? Less risky shei? That is all you know about risk- Credit Risk and I am not surprised? Assess Risk globally and you will know Utomi has done well in PAN an it is an evidence that this guy will do well by revitalising our dying campuses under the control of a President who is not bordered with over 60% of his budget going on recurrent expenditure |
The corporate governance responsibility of the board of which Pat Utomi was a member was greatly compromised. In the 2 years or so preceding the CBN intervention, Pat Utomi was only absent from the board meeting twice. And during this period, a number of decisions that later plunged the bank into trouble were taking. Most notable among these decisions were the take-over of Spring Bank, the Board of Directors credit approval powers (which Atuche blatantly override most times), inflation of budget figures and cost of purchase of some offhsore banks/subsidiaries (bought at ridiculous prices), insider related loans etc. I used to work in a very strategic department of that bank and I can tell you that sometimes, I wonder what transpires at the board meetings of the bank. How can Utomi explain or exonerate himself from the mess in Bank PHB? If he didn't know that all the rots in that Bank happened at that time, then he is a failure as a board member. If he knew and didn't do anything, then he is a disappointment. If he knew and didn't do anything for fear of Atuche (Yes, Atuche dictated to the board and was hardly/never cautioned. Who dare do that? Mr. Akin Kekere-Ekun can explain better), then he is a coward. If he knew and could not do anything or had his suggestions sent to the trash can and didn't resign, he is a hypocrite! The guy - Pat Utomi may be a genius in the classroom or research laboratories and I will presume him one, but he needs to convince me that he is not another Dr. Magnus Kpakol (you know him? former Economic Adviser to OBJ and former NAPEP boss, an academics in the US before his appointment) - all theories and no real achievement. Pat Utomi's pedigree as an administrator is still in doubts. He may need to prove himself more.

@ Xfactoria, Thanks for the lecture and awareness but should I ask you who is the Administrator of Pan African University- LBS? Is the Institution competing well with notable business schools in Africa today? And on bank PHB, why has Sanusi Lamido, a man who has vehemently revealed all the recklessness in the banking industry not nailed Pat Utomi for insider abuse like IBPLC Chairman, and other banks. I work at a top level in Risk Mgt in one of those banks and do not understand what you want us to believe that I do not know already. When you guys and Atuche were falsifying records and presenting fake Management Information Reporting, even the International Firm were deceived to invest in your bank equity believing it was a sign of healthiness. Tell me which Bank was properly managed? Check their books and see the amount of provision figures for that year of locust. Please be schooled in politics. Utomi cannot be compared in anyway with these crooks. So what is your point? That Jonathan is a better administrator? At least Utomi is better than most of these guys so he deserved the opportunity to serve |
Many a time i don't quite understand Nigerians, we are all here comparing who to vote among three rogues(GEJ,ATIKU and BUHARI) yet we have a decent and progressive man like Pat Utomi in the same race and nobody have ever mentioned of voting him even if he did not win. Can anybody tell me what might be behind all this. @ Presido: While I appreciate your response on canvassing support for Pat Utomi's candidacy, I am however taken aback by you grouping Buhari as rogue. It is a known fact till today that Utomi and Buhari have been working together under the umbrella of SDM towards resting powers from PDP until recent times that Buhari has to join CPC and Utomi forms his present party. I have attended lectures where Utomi clearly stated that he will work with the likes of Buhari, Olu Falae and some others based on their credibility and support for good governance in the country. Learn to separate issues from person. Calling Buhari a rogue simply means you are not informed about the political activities in this nation. You are however misinformed that any past leader in this country is a rogue forgetting the fact that Utomi at the age of 29 was an economic adviser to one of these past leaders? Does that make him a rogue? Please, Buhari may not have the intellectual capacity like Utomi but be informed that intellectual capacity in itself is not only sufficient to rule the country, you need strength of character, integrity, firmness and discipline and good governance is a team work not one man showmanship. The earlier you know that the better for us all because we will need the vote of the people that have been wrongly labelled as ALMAJIRIS as well to win presidency or are they not Nigerians? |
All these he is saying is "after the fact". I am sure while he and other executives were killing d company, he didn't think dat one day he will have 2 account 4 his failures. I wonder why some people can't just admit when they have made a mistake. Remembers, dey are typical politicians. @ Blank, can you please substantiate your claim of he killing the company. What evidence do you have to the contrary? Have you considered all the issue raised by him in the post? Your statement depicts a lazy mind that could not careful analyse issue but would rather jump into conclusion that this is an excuse, if this is not the case, tell us the detailed accounts of how he contributed in killing the company. |
Insert Quote Hmmmmmm. . . . Utomi wants Nobel prize for suggesting what the layman knows? Posted on: Today at 01:30:11 PM Posted by: sochan @Ibime, and who is the layman that knows these suggestions? You people are too proud to acknowledge intellectual capacity and that is why we allow nonentities to direct the states of things in the country. This is a professor of Economics (Political Economics), a graduate of INSEAD and not only that with his initiatives in LBS, he has proven that he is not just a classroom Professor but someone who has knowledge and if given opportunity, can solve some of the myriads of economic problems facing the country. Always appreciate good things when you see one. |
I have noticed with keen interesr that there is a disillusion beclouding our sense of reasoning that only MINERAL RESOURCES MAKES A NATION GREAT. And until we see things differently, and learn from our present state, we cannot move forward even if all regions have autonomy today. UK today is not as richly blessed like Nigeria (mineral resources wise) but you will agree with me that the quality of life by the common citizens cannot be compared with our life in Nigeria where all we boast of are our oil, good weather, good agricultural land yet suffering in the midst of plenty. Lagos today has problems (myriads of them) but a sytem is evolving gradually showing what intellectual capacity can do to a nation. UK, USA, Japan, China et al are not as blessed in terms of mineral resources like Nigeria and many Arabs nations but the world Economy today is being controlled by some of them whereas the rich oil nations have not fared well like these nations. Honest questions, apart from Rotimi Amaechi (and probably Duke) of rivers state, mention any other past or present Governors in the SS that has truly made any intentional efforts to leave a good heritage in the region including Jonathan. Ibori, Uduaghan, Alaimesia, Odili, Igbinedion etc have they truly served the region at least to the best of their ability that the law permits them? Tinubu was a "Crook" but he fought against oppression since NADECO days, risked his life, used his resources b4 he became gov (a former expatriate with Exon Mobil- Texas) and also stood against lawlessness against OBJ during his 8 yrs tenure. He is selfish just like every human, but how long he can hold Lagos captive depends on how long the people allows. We guys need to be wise and stop all these bragging. Let us all look for ways to move this nation forward. It is not mineral resources that makes a nation great. These cabals are using us to fight one another but none of them is representing our interest, believe me. The purpose of Government is for the welfare of the people and nothing really shows that these guys have done anything to cater for our welfare. Have you seen any SS senator fighting NW senator the way we are fighting here. Have u seen SW hons fighting SE or NC? They attend the same party, spend our wealth recklessly collectively and we are here fighting one another. Guys wake up. This is the SAME old trick. I think we should be wise with such intelligence we claim we have. |
I am not bragging my friend. The situation on the ground is not a fairy tale, is it? It is funny the way you fellows attack those who tell you the truth in black and white. The Ibori's and co you mention are products of Nigeria and her systems to enslave minorities. Can you argue otherwise? You make the argument for intellectual resources in Nigeria. Does our parasitic economy allow for such? Where in the whole World have you heard that central govt gives money to states and LG's. I laugh in a thousand languages. Dude, rebuke fstranger who made the foolish mistake of implying that minority rights in the SS can be trampled at will without consequences. I don't want to believe you too were blinded by the usual Nigerian backward calculations to see that: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-577593.0.html#msg7443938 Take it like a wise man or leave it. The SS is Nigeria, treat the place right, guarantee our human rights and justice and we will all be happy. [img][/img] @ Beaf, I love your response and agreed that the SS needed to be treated well just like every other community in Nigeria deserves good treatment as well. No region is superior to the other. There is no way you can measure the contribution of eachregion as it were now until we develop a good system based on equity and fairness. The poorest region in Nigeria as at today based on MDGs goal is the north yet the bulk of the nation's wealth are in the hands of few people claiming to fight for their interest. We all need to rise and chase these greedy fellows out of power. Jonathan was part of the old system just like everyother fellow in the scene now. Was Saraki leaving PDP for Kwarans interest? It pains my heart when these people use us to fight oneanother while they keep squandering our collective wealth. Beaf, since you agree some of the people i mentioned were part of the old system to enslave us, let us at every region look for credible people and supports them not all these murderers druming the beat of war recklessly not for our sake but THEIR SAKE. Let us kill all sentiments and ask intelligent questions and dtake intentional actions to salvage this country from the hand of the present cabals which Jonathan has shown is part of them. Enough is Enough. Please let their be credible opposition stand up in Lagos at least to clear up the allegations against Fashola and the God father and when they arise, we should not discourage them. Let us read between the lines and be the unbiased judge. That is the way to develop this democracy. Democracy thrives better with meaningful opposition. |
@ beaf, I have noticed with keen interest your posts over many burning issues in the polity and what I can point it down to is that there is a disillusion beclouding your sense of reasoning that only MINERAL RESOURCES MAKES A NATION GREAT. That also dominates the mind of most Nigerians and until we see things differently, and learn from our present state, we cannot move forward even if all regions have autonomy today. UK today is not as richly blessed like Nigeria (mineral resources wise) but you will agree with me that the quality of life by the common citizens cannot be compared with our life in Nigeria where all we boast on is our oil, good weather, good agricultural land yet suffering in the midst of plenty. Honest questions, apart from Rotimi Amaechi (and probably Duke) of rivers state, mention any other past or present Governors in the SS that has truly made any intentional efforts to leave a good heritage in the region including Jonathan. Ibori, Uduaghan, Alaimesia, Odili, Igbinedion etc have they truly served you at least to the best of their ability that the law permits them? Tinubu was a "Crook" but he fought against oppression since NADECO days, risked his life, used his resources b4 he became gov (a former expatriate with Exon Mobil- Texas) and also stood against lawlessness against OBJ during his 8 yrs tenure. He is selfish just like every human, but how long he can hold Lagos captive depends on how long the people allows. Beafm stop your bragging, Let us all look for ways to move this nation forward. It is not mineral resources that makes a nation great. |
Mr. Utomi can't win an election even on a level playing field. You do not decide to run for President, 4 months to elections. This is in a country of 150 million people. For the progressives that want to win an election, they need a careful laid out plan that would take 2-4 years in order to reach out to the voters. Good intentions alone don't win elections. Why he has not figured this out, baffles me. So how long did it take Yaradua to decide to run for presidency? You really do not understand that so many underground discussion has been going on and he has to consider issues. He is from South/South and everybody from that side is supporting Jonathan until recently that people know Jonathan is clueless and has no genuine intention other than the same PDP looting Agenda. Support this guy if you believe he has what it takes. Everyone knows him and for your information he served as special adviser to the president of the federal republic at the age of 27. So he understands the game more than you do. |
You are most likely to win the UK lottery 10 times(the UK lottery is 14million to 1, while the Presidency is 150million to 1) than to become the President of Nigeria, that is the odds we are dealing with here, and you open your moth yearning dust. If the President is not rear human God knows what the definition of rear human is? Undecided @ Mr Knowall, have u ever wondered why with all these believe systems, Nigeria has not been a better place. For anything to change, there must be intelligent thinking and intentional action, else let us all agree that it is ALSO DESTINY THAT NIGERIA WILL ALWAYS HAVE BAD GOVERNANCE AND STOP all the noise we are all making. God brings people to the top but there is always a preparation. Seeth thou a man that is deligent in his ways, he will stand before Kings and not mere men. Also, WHEN THE RIGHTEOUS ARE IN AUTHORITY, THE PEOPLE REJOICE, BUT WHEN WICKED MAN RULES, THE PEOPLE GROAN. ARE WE REJOICING OR GROANING? You have refused to answer all my questions rather you speak without superior arguments to facts that are clearly presented to you. It does not border you who becomes president becos God has destined it then why should GOOD or BAD governance border you. That could also be the destiny of NIgeria irrespective of what we do or do not do. Come out of your closed mind and open up your mind to reasoning, There is no where in the world or HIStory where Good governance has come with an ill-prepared leaders that dominates our political landscape today, AKALA, ONI, OYINLOLA AGAGU ETC are they not destined too? Why were they sent packing, ? |
Insert Quote Quote from: ayubam on Today at 10:18:17 AM Insert Quote wateva, all we want is good governance, PDP, ACN, CPC, APGA, HIV, BSC, HND wherever the president is coming from, i dont care, he or she should just be sensible enough to see our pains and problems, chikena! Word man. And how do you get the good governance. Is it not through the process of electioneering? Your position is just apathy. It wont take us anywhere. People's mind must be unblocked to see how the process that will ensure good governance comes to bare. You cannot wish good governance, it must be worked out. No ome man can change Nigeria. It requires team building so dat no flesh might glorify. Think guys. We cant afford to be lazy at this time. We need to put all our arsenal at work. Get your thinking caps guys and let us edge this charlatans out of power. If another party gets there and they start messing up the way ACN has started in Lagos, vote them out. By so doing, they will know power rest with the people. |
Mr man the President of a nation is not an accidental or opportunistic affair where the best man would necessary get the job. It is a job for the highly favoured super humans. It is not about whether u went to Oxford, Cambridge or even Harvard; you would be surprise a highly favoured man from a backwater like Kogi State University would get it before someone that has un-countable doctorates from the most prized institutions in the world. Becoming the President of a nation is neither a fluke nor a calculated progress ional career plan that any human can follow judiciously, those that were groomed in the past like Al Gore we all know what happened to them later in life. In a 100 year period only 25 men out of a population of 150 million Nigerians can be President that is if they are in the post for 4 years. But if they are in the post for 8 years the statistics comes down to an even more scary and anun-imaginable a 12.5 people out of 150 million Nigerians. Don’t u think this is an anomaly; in Yoruba we say “Abami eda” not human or half-human half spirit. Even if one get’s there by mistake, opportunity or chance, that person is a highly favoured rare specie, that is the bone of contention and such a person must not only recognise this fact but celebrate it, thank God Jonathan has express his appreciation in the most explicit way. @ Mr Know all, I did not say you must be schooled in Harvard or LBS or MIT to be president. I said David ruled Israel with INTEGRITY OF HIS HEART and SKILLFULNESS OF HIS HANDS. Can you contest that. Believe whatever, you are not seeing yourself as a stakeholder in Nigeria that's why you think it is only favour that qualifies for the job. (African religious mind) yet we are laid back in everything. You said Algore was schooled and mentored but did not get there, but do you think it was only favour that brought Obama there. Lazy folks, Go and read audacity of hope, Keep thinking this way and Nigeria will remain the same. Was OBJ not favoured? He was in the Prison, at the verge of death yet God delivered him, but did you find out from that same God if Presidency was the next thing for him. But to the hardness of your heart, you crowned him King and you can see the result. Jonathan was favoured to be president by God and if he knows God want him there come 2011, y bribing the senators, and all these dirty games. When God rejected Saul to be king, he begged Samuel that honour me before the people. Samuel said to obey is better than sacrifice but Samuel still honoured him, prayed for him, interceded for him but God said I have rejected him, y to hearken is better than sacrifice, Thats y i said people should stop abusing prophets. They see what we do not see but as far as I am concerned, A THRONE SECURED WITH COMPROMISE CAN NEVER PRODUCE GOOD GOVERNANCE AND IF COMPROMISE TAKES YOU TO THE TOP, IT WILL KEEP YOU THERE. Finally, David was anointed King and he knows but he never fought for it. He was preparing himself in the jungles. He had opportunity to kill rejected Saul but did not lay a finger on him. He allowed God to finish the job until Saul openly confessed that God has chosen you to be king. Can u say that of Jonathan? You guys repeat same mistakes year in year out and we all suffer for this apathy. IT IS TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE |
You cannot dissociate a man from his party policies. Remember he got their through delegates votes and must represent them. How many evil men in a party will determine what will happen in Govt. As at today PDP has been there since 1999 and they have shown their stuffs. So it is time to try another party. That is how to make democracy work. No party in USA, UK and other developed economies can boast that they will RULE their nation for 80yrs. The power is vested on people. Cameron was brought in when people felt Labour had been too careless with their border control now he may likely be on his way out because of harsh economic principles vested on people. Let us wake up and do the right thing once and for all. Nigeria case is always pathetic. We always have unprepared person becoming our president and they go their to experiment with our destinies, e.g OBJ was not part of democratic struggles, yet in 1999, he got it, same with Yaradua, now Jonathan. 2 yrs ago, was jonathan thinking of presidency? Obama has been dreaming about it for yrs and was doing something worthwhile to EARN it. Here, opportunist without ideas rule us. Mrs Jonathan had launched Woman for Change Initiatives because she must be seen to have done something. Did she think of this 4 years ago. The Presidency seat is an highly exalted and responsible office and ill-prepared charlatans should not just get their on sentiments. Jonathan has done nothing to deserve this seat. Religious con will compare Jonathan with David but they forgot that it was recorded that David shepherd Israel with the INTEGRITY of his heart and SKILLFULNESS of his hands, If South South must be president, present candidates with history of performance- not a perfect man but at least to recruit a manager of a coy, you will check his CV and what he has done in the past and what he can bring to the table. Please let us think when we contribute cos posterity will ask us what we did when all these injustices were going on. Questions to ponder on. 1. If Nigeria is your fathers company (and yours by inheritance) and u traveled for a long time to meet your father's company in the state Nigeria is, will you employ someone like Jonathan to turn the company back to profitability with this present credentials? 2. If you are a recruitment consultant and a bank is at the verge of collapse and your interest is to bring the company out of crises, will you just automatically employ deputy managing director who was part of the team that mismanage the bank int the first place or will you look for credible managers with history of performance? As for the prayer, there is provision in the word of God not to believe every prophet of God until you have tested them by the Spirit and the Word but I do not think there is provision to abuse them based on emotional sentiments. I feel the pain of posters but instead of railing abusive words against Prophets, let us simply SAY NO, I DISAGREE WITH THIS POSITION until we are giving opportunities to ask questions from the individual on while he did what he did. Finally, if Jonathan wins, it might be concluded that it is the will of God just like Saul but people forgot so easily that when Saul was chosen, it was not time for Israel to have a king. In fact God told Samuel that they did not reject you but they rejected me from being King over them. My advice, RSVP. Forget ethnic bias. Use your common sense. Learn from History. OBJ also became xtian but a recent convert do not aspire to go to leadership. He needs to be trained and tutored and develop character first before going to leadership. David killed bears with bare hands, killed goliath by the words he spoke and finished it with stone. Jonathan does not have the Spirit of reformer. He has started playing the old games---- bribe senators, give govs automatic tickets with the likes of Akala, and all sort of dirty games. A THRONE SECURED THROUGH COMPROMISE CAN NEVER BRING GOOD GOVERNANCE. WHAT TAKES U TO THE TOP WILL SUSTAIN YOU THERE. And this is not about being a xtian or muslim or traditionalist? Abimelech was an idol worshiper yet God restrained him from Sleeping with Sarah because of the Integrity of his heart, Selah |
Insert Quote wateva, all we want is good governance, PDP, ACN, CPC, APGA, HIV, BSC, HND wherever the president is coming from, i dont care, he or she should just be sensible enough to see our pains and problems, chikena! VOTE PDP out simple. IF ACN or CPC gets there we will demand good governance from them as well. So leave the crab's talk. You will seat there, you wont support anyone, you wont do anything to make the difference and simple but to condemn everyone. Shame on critics |
it worries me if you guys here have learnt the profession called politics. What do you think ACN has been using to reclaim mandates in southwest--- Media war ofcourse. That is is the practice in all nations. Let the war continues. PDP should respond to those facts. I am not a supporter of ACN but democracy thrives better when there is a strong opposition. It makes leaders sit properly and know that someone is watching. What we should clamour for is strong opposition in Lagos too so dat Fashola could sit right also cos there are still lots to be done. Please guys be mature and do not think those words are not necessary. |
@SalisuOri : That idea of yours was in the old Nigeria. In this new day, we do not need leadership skills of people like IBB, and his cronies. Let them go and rule their house, Nonsense |
Well, what do we say of a nation like DUBAI that is becoming a giant in Financial Market. Are they not Muslim? And if i might ask the pastor, Will he say people like IBB, Abacha, Atiku, Saraki, Gusau, Ciroma and a lot are true muslims, What about the Xtian leaders scam in the last Bonke revival in Nigeria? Will that move Nigeria forward? I am a xtian and a true one really but I am disappointed when Pastors make such statements as this. Not all Pastors should talk about politics. There are Pastors, Teachers, Evangelist, Prophets and Apostles all for the equiping of the saints, but some have Governmental Anointing and should be left to guide the Christians on what to do. This comment is purely misguided and cannot be true because God is not only the God of Xtians but of muslims as well. You cannot wish Ishmael away because God has also promised to bless him and he will leave among his brethren- Isaac, the child of promise. Xtians should wake up and be properly schooled in the scripture. What has the Pastors done in the banking sector? Have they not disgraced us all in the market place, Selah |
@slyfoxxjoe go and ask a girl of that age in Canarywarf or New York what Naija means and let's see wether they will have any idea. Y not be reasonable. Naija is just a slogan use to xpress the country. It has never been used in any official meeting. How do u feel when you hear Great Ife, Greatest Akokites, Great Ladokites, Great UItes etc. I do not think corruption comes to your mind. It is solidarity, the power to achieve the impossible. That is how youth feel when they hear Naija. The woman obviously is disconnected from her society and cannot really represent the people. That was how she was so slow deciding about the Late President. Do you know we have suddenly forgotten who signed the budget, FOI Bill has been neglected and it is electoral act Galore and this does not border Madam. , NAIJA is a great slang. The woman should have even anchor her rebranding on using the word Naija that is still Fresh. E.g We are NAIJA. Great people from Nigeria. That is branding. |
