There are so many Tablets right now in the Tech market that you might even face some difficulties while choosing which one to buy, you'll definitely want something better when it comes to its Specs but at the same time, the design too is also very important. Flat, slim and thin Tablets are very easy to handle and they also feels lighter on your hand during usage, so they are certainly better than the big, thick, bulky ones. If you are someone who likes them thin and slim then this post is for you. We've taken our time to compile a list of the top 10 thinnest and slimmest tablets available in the Tech market right now, just read, go through, see the pictures and videos then you'll be able to decide and choose which one that suits you most. Here you go -

The world's thinnest Tablet up till this very moment is the Dell venue 8 7000 series Tablet and it's the first on this list.

1. Dell Venue 8 7000

At just 6mm (under a quarter-inch) thick, Dell Venue 8 (7000) is unambiguously touted as the world’s thinnest tablet.[Note that this tablet is the newer version of/and different from the original Dell Venue 8 tablet which was released last year]. It comes with a very attractive and professional design, fitting anyone holding it. It packs a 2K resolution 8.4" OLED display, a Moorfield series quad-core Atom CPU, and a very intriguing tri-camera setup on the back that leverage Intel’s new RealSense Snapshot Depth Camera. With 2GB of RAM and 16GB of Internal storage, this new Dell Venue 8 is a big deal. Also, Its rear camera is a 8 MP camera, augmented by a 2 MP front camera that gathers depth and dimensional data. See the new Dell Venue 8 premium design in the official introduction video below !!!

2. Apple iPad Air 2

Any smartphone / tablet list that doesn't have Apple in it is probably incomplete, I sound like an iFan here, I'm not but that's just the fact. Well, Apple also gets featured on this list because of their professionally built Apple iPad Air 2. Apple surely outdoes itself when the design of the iPad Air 2 was thoroughly inspected, which is the world’s second thinnest tablet announced. It is 18% thinner than the original 2013 iPad Air. Unless you have them compared side-by-side, it’d be very tough for you to admire the design improvements Apple has achieved with this tablet, but, seriously, it’s very thin at 6.1mm and lightweight at 444 gr, this combination alone makes it considerably easier to handle while traveling than most laptops and tablets, since it’s something that occupies minimal space in a backpack or bag. With 8 MP rear camera and 1.2 MP front camera, in conjunction with your most preferred internal storage - 16GB / 64GB / 128GB you're good to take unlimited pictures with this tablet. See the Apple iPad Air 2's sleek design in the video below !!!

3. Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet

Yes, if you are very up-to-date in the tablet market, you'll surely be expecting at least a Sony tablet in this list and that first Sony tablet comes-in in number 3. With just 6.4mm (that is just a tiny bit over 0.25" inch), the Xperia Z2 Tablet is the slimmest and thinnest waterproof tablet out there, almost as thick as its own microUSB port. But it is 3rd on this list just because we aren't talking about waterproof tablets now, rather, the thinnest and slimmest tablets. Better still, the Xperia Z2 tab is the lightest of the 10" tablets, weighing only 15 ounces (426g) for the Wi-Fi model, and 15.5 ounces (439g) for LTE/3G model. OMG !!! So that means 4G & 3G weighs 13g mathematically. LoL

With 3GB RAM, 16GB Internal storage, 8.1MP rear camera and 2.2MP front camera , the Xperia Z2 tablet is one of the most well-engineered tablets in the market. Its waterproof ability allows you to use it in water up to 5 feet (1.5m) for more than an hour, and it won't get drunk. Just make sure the protective port flaps are firmly closed when taking pictures at the pool side, when lying in the bathtub or indulging in some other watery-geeky activities. The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet official introduction video below throws more light into the aforementioned facts.

4. Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact

It's Sony again. Sony's craftsmanship has once again proved that the company can continuously amp up its game. At 6.4mm, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is still among the most slender and compact 8-inch slates in the world. It's also very light at just 270 g, can you imagine it's as light as a feather. This tab is slightly tall at 8.40” inch (213.4 mm) being IP65/68-certified, which means that it's water-friendly, yeah, a water dip of up to 30 minutes / 1.5 meters will do no harm to this tough tablet. With almost the same Specs with the Sony Xperia Z2 tablet in number 3 above, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact might be that super tablet you've been waiting for.

5. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4"

Finally, here comes the first Sammy on the list. If you think I'm a Samsung fan, I think you're right. Who doesn't like walking & working with the best and winning team ? With the Samsung Galaxy Tab S, you'll probably stop looking for other tablets. Why ? The Samsung Galaxy Tab S is just 0.26" (6.6mm) thin, weighing 10.51 oz (298 g). It is the first and best high-res Super AMOLED 8-inch tablet and it is very mobile, very slim, very thin, very powerful, with the highest pixel density of all 8-inchers. With 3GB RAM, 16GB / 32GB storage, Exynos 5 Octa processor, 8.1 MP primary camera and 2.1 MP secondary camera, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4" deserves some credits.

6. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5"

Do you know how it feels when a younger boy knows his older, bigger brother is behind him, maybe for some protection ? LoL. I guess that's how the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4" is feeling right now because here behind him is his older brother - the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5". The Galaxy Tab S 10.5, is also just 0.26" (6.6mm) thin, and it weighs 16.47 oz (467 g), making it one of the most compact and light 10-inchers out there. It sports the same 1600x2560 resolution and Exynos 5 Octa processor as its 8.4 counterpart. With almost the same specifications, the 2 Samsung Galaxy Tab S are the best Samsung Tablet you'll ever see right now.

7. Sony Xperia Tablet Z

The seventh place is again occupied by a Sony tablet - the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is also thin at 0.27" (6.9mm), which is pretty amazing, and also one of the lightest 10-inch tablets out there. The indisputable fact that it's waterproof makes it more acceptable. Here is another salute thrown to Sony because of its marvel of engineering.

8. Apple iPad Mini

After the Apple iPad Air 2 in 2nd place, here comes another Apple tablet. A smaller and easy-to-handle mini Tablet. The Apple iPad mini is just 0.28" (7.2 mm) thick and yet it is still on this list. Maybe Apple needs to manufacture more thinner and slimmer Tablets to keep up with the thinnest & slimmest competition.

9. Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 8.4

Nineth place goes to Samsung's 8-incher in the TabPRO series, only because it is made out of plastic. Otherwise with 7.2 mm it is as thin as the original aluminum iPad mini, while bearing a great pixel density on tablet - 359ppi - all achieved with a regular RGB pixel matrix. This Tablet has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 8MP main camera, 2MP front camera and it runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat.

10. Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 10.1

Samsung has obviously managed to slim down its TabPRO line to the extent that we find another representative - the Galaxy TabPRO 10.1 - climbing up in the top ten of the world's thinnest tablets, with its 0.29" (7.3mm) girth. With the same monster screen resolution as the 8-incher, and lighter than an iPad Air, this 10" slate from Samsung has certainly earned its place on the catwalk.

Wow !!! What a well-compiled list of the slimmest & thinnest Tablets, dominated by Samsung, Sony and Apple. Which of these slim tablets do you like most ? And why ? Are you still looking for slimmer ones ? Or you get turned off by thin Tabs ?

Medicine:
The fact that it involves human life makes it even more
challenging; it takes longer number of years than any
other course in Nigeria before they are tagged qualified as
it deals with human life, the students are compelled to
read heavy-weighted textbooks and they engage in
reading almost all the time . Passing MBBS is another ball
game and includes courses like Anatomy, Biochemistry ,
physiology, this poses a lot of worry to medical students ;
most of them even go for thanksgiving when they
eventually pass . Medicine as a course requires a lot of
commitment from the student considering the length of the
courses and examinations involved .
via: telegraph.co .uk
Chemistry:
This may sound easy and more fun when viewed from
practical sense but in a more academic sense it involves a
lot of math and physics making it more challenging to
study. It involves nomenclature, reactions , stoichiometry ,
molarity and thermochemistry and host of others .
Engineering:
As the name implies involves designing . “ Engine students
“ as they are fondly called take wide range of courses in
engineering faculty including petroleum engineering , civil
engineering , electric and electronic engineering and host
of others before they even get to the point of handling
courses specified for their department, and of course there
are lots of professional exams to go through before one is
qualified as a professional engineer to practice in Nigeria .
Law:
This requires a lot of skills and hard work. Law students
read a lot of written materials and must comprehend , and
accurately recall legal provisions and use the relevant law
in new situations. They must be able to take a logical
approach and apply knowledge to factual situations. It
also involves length of time , courses and examinations
while in school and after school before one could practice
as a professional.
via: telegraph.co .uk
Mathematics and Statistics:
At first when applying for this course , you could think it
will be easier to deal with , it will interest you to know that
abstract maths is not that easy , it is not just about being
good at calculations ; it involves estimations , calculus ,
geometrics and host of others . It is important that you
know that you may deal with calculations all through your
stay in the institution .
Architecture :
This is one of the most complex courses in faculty of
environmental sciences to study. A lot of time , people look
at it as a very easy course involving only the act of
drawing, it is important to know that it involves much
more than mere drawing and designing . On graduation
they are faced with lots of professional exams before they
are able to practice as a professional. add ur own

Hmmmnnn... I was thinking you won't list my course ni oooh but you did. It's not easy to be a MATHEMATICIAN. My Head is already hurting and hotting me.

Facts in Figure !!! :-)

So 14 lions will go hungry, really unfortunate

Survival of the fittest...

On a good day, It would seem as if a 1-year-old elephant would have no chance after becoming surrounded by 14 hungry lions. But not all baby elephants are of the same mettle, perhaps, and at least one young Elephant is deserving of its valiant new nickname: Hercules. That would be the little elephant in the accompanying video footage in this post. According to the New York Post, this little Elephant had strayed from its mother and their herd but was able to fend off the lions and ultimately return back to the herd. It's definitely because of issues like this that the adult Elephants usually put the little ones in the middle of their herd.

This video was uploaded on Tuesday and you might find parts of the footage very difficult to watch, as lions can be seen using their extremely sharp claws to climb onto the back of the elephant. But the footage, captured by a team of journalists at the Norman Carr Safaris Chinzombo Camp in Zambia, also shows the elephant turning the tide periodically by false-charging the lions to keep them at bay.

The elephant, which probably learned some valuable lessons during the harrowing encounter, can be seen using the water to its own advantage. But it makes at least one painful mistake by becoming emboldened and exiting the water, only to be attacked anew.

“In the 30-plus years that I have been a safari guide in Zambia at the Luangwe Park, never have I seen anything like this,” said a guide named Innocent, who was with the group. “We were all so worried the baby elephant would be killed right before us.”

Instead, the feisty mammal attained at least a small measure of fame, and a new moniker befitting only the brave and strong. “We’ve named the little fella Hercules,” Innocent said. “What a fighter.”

Here is the video below, watch it yourself. What can you say about it ?

When boko haram where bombing churches in the north, God sat like a mumu and watched innocents young and old die. Is the church not supposed to be the safest place one can be if that dummy God truly cares

Take for instance on a sunday morning someone summoned me to go to church and I refused. I insisted I have a girl coming over and I refused to go to church because I want to fvck. 30mins later the church was bombed and everyone died including the person that summoned me. Will I have to thank God for making me stay at home fornicating instead of go to church and die

If the bastard God truly cares about we humans why does he watch our pain and misery? Is he not the commander in chief of the whole universe

The wicked dummy God make me loose all I had 200k. It shall never be well with God. I hate God and I wish I can end his existence if I had the chance

Ooh, I feel your pain. But I bet you're reasoning and viewing things in a very different way. if you knew how it all started and why it is the way it is now, you won't hate or blame God.

P.S - God is not the ruler of this wicked world, it's SATAN, the Devil.

Give them components nd instruction manual. Maybe they think putting a phone together is like Lego duplos. ( one has to account for infantile thinking)

LoL... Even a PhD holder in ICT + CSC in Nigeria wont be able to couple one not to talk of others

Bawss1:
Front page? No o. You want more people to see the warped mode of thinking going on here?

How hard can it be for guys here to understand that the individual cost of phone components isn't a true representative of the cost of production. This is something that occurs in virtually all sectors from telecommunications to the automobile industry. Heck go to any restaurant and demand that your bill should be N100 because that's how much the items on the plate cost. See how that will turn out.

Wow, It took me few seconds to get what you mean by the bolded part but when I got it, I see a lot of sense in it, it's a good example for the ongoing topic. Nice one !!! We still have a lot of ignorant people in Nigeria when it comes to Tech and Mobile though

alotofgrace:
a good wine needs no advert.

For your mind ?

MODs... Front Page Please...

prezelThomas:
Op wat about iPhone, i have not seen their advert on TV before oo,but the price of their fones de cut eye

Apple's case is entirely different. In Yoruba Language, they call companies like that 'Wobia or Olojukokoro'

brainyack:
I only agree with the fact that s5 ad will take a large chunk of the cash the s5 ad was mad gan ronaldo messi elsharawy moses Oscar casillas donovan gotze falcao Rooney Na money o plus the match gan gan great animation

You are now talking ! Everyone just think, spending money on ads is all about putting a banner on Nairaland or LindaIkeji and doing Facebook Ads, it's more than that.

Elparaiso:
Your opinion is valid if and only if, all s5 phones are advertised separately....
Advertisement can never cost that much for a unit... After all, most things are done in bulk

I can see your point but it's not really pointy. There's something we call AVERAGE which makes it possible to determine the exact price of each phone even if 1000 phones were advertised @ different prices & separately which isn't even like that. BTW, Samsung Ad no be beans ooh

francis247:
For where? That was then. Now indomie sell pass garri. By the way op, do your research well. The S5 cost 264 dollars to build. It's S4 and below that cost about $150.

Thanks. Note that the post is about Smartphones being built for a very low price and selling for high prices. I stated it in the post that I'll use Samsung and Galaxy S5 as example which I did, I represented ALL expensive high-end phones with the Galaxy S5, which is exactly $256 to build. It's not that ALL the flagships were built with exactly $150, some were built for <$150 and some >$150 but most of them were built with $150 that's why I used $150.

Mikkyboy10:
Aweh joorh na lie, adverts ko....shay for instance if dey re selling d s5 for 30k, with no adverts, won't dey sell more rather than selling it for like 150k...garri no sell pass indomie noodles?

Please, it's better you stick to a good-paying white collar job cuz it doesn't seem like business is your way oooh. *frown*.
Well, I sell 100 phones for #150K = 15,000,000 and you sell 500 phones for #30k = 15,000,000. I'm richer in the sense that I got my own #15m from just 100 phones while yours is from 500 phones (with the same value). It's just logical !!!
