Those are assumptions. They're not true. It doesn't reduce anyone's lifespan. Anything taken in excess is definitely harmful. Even fasting has to be done moderately. Consumption of veggies in excess too can be toxic even fruits. Nothing must be done in excess. Initially you didn't use the word "excessive". You just said proteins generally. I'll tell you now that the body needs proteins mostly out of the other classes of food. That doesn't mean the other classes of food should be forsaken. Proteins are so important for children, teenagers and adults. Fish, meat, egg, milk are quite proteinous. These foods must be part of your diet in one way or the other. The human body is not programmed to function properly without adequate proteins. I was expecting you to even say excess meat consumption is bad but you just packed everything together and said proteins. Meat is not the only proteinous food. There is also another misconception among you people that when people see protein in urine it means there's too much protein. It's actually not the case. Proteinuria has several underlying causes that is usually not due to protein itself. When pregnant women test positive for proteins in urinalysis, it is usually normal in small levels. It doesn't necessarily mean their kidneys are damaged or that they took too much protein.
