The ECOWAS Court of Justice sitting in Abuja, has adjourned hearing to November 9, 2016 for the 500 billion naira compensation suit filed against the Federal Government by the Movement Against Fulani Occupation, (MAFO). This follows a motion on a notice filed by the federal government seeking an extension of time to allow it file all processes and a preliminary objection challenging the suit. The MAFO group had accused Fulani herdsmen of attacks in which many lives and property have been destroyed. 11 indigenes of Benue State, co-ordinated by the group, represented the victims in a protest against the Fulani herdsmen attacks in the state. The alleged failure of the federal government to protect them from the said attacks have prompted their legal actions. The group, according to Channels TV, is therefore seeking for the fundamental human rights enforcement from the federal government, in addition to the 500 billion naira compensation to guarantee safety of human lives and properties. “Within the last three years, Fulani Herdsmen have carried out over 50 major attacks on Benue communities, the most prominent of them taking place in 15 out of 23 Local Government Areas” the group said. They emphasized that the locations of the Fulani herdsmen who carry out the attacks are well known to the security agencies. However, they have accused the federal government of have refused to accost them and prevent further attacks on their communities. |
Somalia would be Paradise when compared to Nigeria- Nnamdi Kanu. Meaning, Nigeria would be the world's most emblematic failed state , without a functional central government, and its capacity to provide key public goods to its citizens would collapsed. States would become more fragile as a result of violent conflict; particularly, violent conflict is more likely to occur in fragile states. Nnamdi's words are coming to past |

It was a nervous moment for the Nigerian government toady at the Community Court Of Justice, ECOWAS (Economic Community Of West African States) Abuja, as the Court ignored every threat from the Nigerian government to conduct a hearing on Nnamdi Kanu's (the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB) case which has suffered an unending trial at the Nigerian judiciary. Nnamdi Kanu's defence team led by Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor arrived the court at exactly 10:00am while the three man panel of judges led by Justice Friday Nwoke from the ECOWAS Community Court Of Justice arrived at about 10:10am. Barrister Ejiofor introduced himself to the judges after which the court clerk called up the case. The Nigerian government was found to be on the run as the defence lawyer to the federal government submitted a motion for his absence just few hours before court proceedings, claiming that he has a case today in Kaduna. Barr Ejiofor objected to this pointing out that he met him just yesterday at the court, while he accused the Nigerian government of plans to further prolong Kanu's case. Reacting to this, the presiding judge, Justice Nwoke, pointed out that the court case in Kaduna is not enough reason for their absence in today's court, stressing that is the federal government's representative fails to appear in the next court session, he (Justice Nwoke) will go ahead to give final judgment in the case between Nnamdi Kanu and the federal government of Nigeria. He also billed the Nigerian government to compensate Barr Ejiofor with the aim of one million naira only as compensation for flying from Lagos to Abuja for the case. Justice Nwoke thereafter adjourned the case to 8th November 2016 for hearing and final judgment. By Chinedu Ewulu Published By Nwosu C.S For Biafra Writers. |

It is not a surprise that Mazi Nnamdi KANU, through his defense lawyer Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor sued the federal government of Nigeria at the ECOWAS community court Abuja, on May, 2016. Corrupt justice John Tsoho was compromised by the Nigerian president and barely a forth night ago excused himself from the case which he has for the past ten months stubbornly held onto and had followed verbatim the orders of his paymaster, Buhari. Political vendetta had been applied by John Tsoho, and the case which hitherto has been dismissed by two previous judges of different courts of competence in Nigeria, thwarted. Nnamdi KANU has been held by the state security service since 14th October, 2015. He was granted bail on the 17th Dec, 2015, but Buhari went viral during a media chat when he publicly declared that " I ( Buhari) will never let Nnamdi go" Read also: BIAFRA: CONFUSION IN ASO ROCK AS NNAMDI KANU IS SET TO GET JUSTICE FOLLOWING SAMBO DASUKI'S RELEASE BY ECOWAS COURT From then onwards until now, Mr Nnamdi Kanu has been held hostage regardless of previous rulings that had acquainted and discharged him. Justice John Tsoho became the puppet master playing different gimmicks at each sittings, dragging, delaying and denying justice to a man who is a prisoner of conscience. Economic Community of West Africa ECOWAS, is expected to do the needful and dispense justice, while addressing the gross abuses meted on Mr. Nnamdi Manu's fundamental rights. Hon. Ejiofor, has rightly put to use the right of Director Nnamdi as stated in the articles 9(2) and (3) of the community court of justice. "once there is violation of human rights, the ECOWAS court has to prevail" Damages for lives lost during peaceful protests were also filled to the community court. Many IPOB brethren were killed at various gatherings by the Nigerian joint military forces. Hundreds have been killed, many still missing, others kidnapped and many detained in various cells across Nigeria. This is due to the display of their fundamental rights as allowed by the United Nations Charter. The whole world is standing by, watching keenly and listening as the case is set to kick of soonesr. It is no secret that the federal government of Nigeria tried frantically to stop this process in a preliminary objection filed by her federal ministry of justice suit no ECW/CCJ/APP/06/16, it submitted that the sub regional court lacked the requisite jurisdiction" to hear and determine the matter. It is now a matter of hours before the court sits and we hope that we will not suffer bias or denial, but acquire Justice denied by the Nigerian court. IPOB all over the world have high expectations that justice will be served in accordance with the law. The world is watching, IPOB is watching. Free Nnamdi KANU! Free Biafra! Victoria .O. C. The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Director of Radio Biafra and Biafra Television – Nnamdi Kanu, a Prisoner of Conscience, will be meeting with the federal government of Nigeria led by President Muhammadu Buhari today being Wednesday, 5th October, 2016 in the Community Court of Justice of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS in Abuja. Following series of alleged judicial misconduct from the Nigerian court, presided over by John Tsoho, who just withdrew from Nnamdi Kanu’s case, and having lost confidence in the ability of same court to do the needful, the legal team of Kanu filed a suit against the Nigerian state at the ECOWAS court of justice in May 2015, for gross misconduct and violation of his human right and court orders, stating that he should be released unconditionally. Despite meeting the bail conditions set, the Nigeria’s Department of State Security (DSS) have violated such orders and failed to release Nnamdi Kanu. It was against these backdrops and more that the defense counsels to Kanu (Barr. Ejiofor) took the initiative to file an application to secure his bail at the ECOWAS Court. It could also be recalled that the commander in chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria “President Buhari, displayed his ignorance in the most absurd manner by instructing ECOWAS court not to hear Kanu’s case, also vowing that Kanu would not be released due to what he termed as “severity of offence committed”, while forgetting that there is a limit to the power he wields as a president in Nigeria. IPOB reacting said, we want to make it absolutely clear to the whole of humanity that the severity of Kanu’s offence as ludicrously proclaimed by Buhari is nothing but ‘freedom fighting’ in the most civil manner as enshrined in the U.N charter on right to self determination, in which Nigeria under a tyrannical president -Buhari is a signatory to. Since almost a year ago he was kidnapped to be killed by DSS, until IPOB raised alarm, the Nigerian government is yet to find him guilty of any crime; despite numerous smear campaign and judicial manipulation, using John Tsoho as a willing tool, Kanu like a man who came to equity with clean hands was found too innocent to condemn; hence the radical approach to systematically assassinate him in prison using various mechanism, and thus prompting his lawyers to initiate an application for bail at the Ecowas court in order to secure his life. Nnamdi Kanu is a freedom fighter championing the cause of the restoration of Biafra, following the rules as obtainable under the U.N charter, and as adopted by the African Union (A.U) in which Nigeria is a member. It is preposterous that same body that instituted this law of self-determination have decided to keep silent under the present circumstances, triggering one to question the potency and virility of such laws. Nevertheless, we are urging all Biafrans, friends of Biafra, and lovers of freedom, to continue to stand in solidarity with our supreme leader, Nnamdi Kanu as his case comes up on that day. We the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) are hopeful that Nnamdi Kanu will get justice at the ECOWAS Court on the 5th of October. We look forward to celebrating the victory of light over darkness, the group added. SOURCE |

Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) Igweocha women general meeting holds today the 2nd day of October 2016. The meeting was hosted by Rumuokoro zone 1. And the meeting comprises of all the zones, units and wards that made up of all Igweocha women in Biafra land. The meet was presided over by the Igweocha women leader, and the meeting also started by 1:30 pm Biafra time with a thunderous prayer said by one of the members. After the prayers, introductions were made and everybody embraced each other as a sign of unity and oneness. After that, some issues were presented which they unanimously handled together. A lot of new members were registered into the family. The meeting went successfully with the presentation of cola nuts by the Rumuokoro zone 1 who hosted the meeting. Really, the Igweocha IPOB women are waxing stronger and stronger every day. As many women are joining them too, they are organising and hosting their meeting zone by zone so that no zone will be left behind and no woman will say that she had not heard about the meeting. After the meeting, photograph was taken and two women who are also hard cores among the women was also interviewed on the sit at home protest which took place on 23rd of Sep,2016 and the Nigeria's 56th years of corruption ,killings and hardship independent anniversary respectively. The first speaker who came from Obigbo zone expressed her observations during the sit at home protest which was organised by IPOB. She proceeded by saying that the sit at home protest showed that IPOB was under one chain of command which is " command and control " She also said that during the sit at home protest, everywhere around his area was deserted to the extent that children was playing on the main road due to lack of vehicles. Almost the whole market in Igweocha was shut down and the butchers was also not left behind. Biafrans observed the sit at home in its fullness she said. Again she made mention of what Muhammad Buhari said concerning the Referendum, Muhammad Buhari said that Biafrans are not going to have any referendum. And on that aspect, she replied him back that Biafrans dont even need any referendum, only that sit at home that they organized is a referendum of its own. And it has marked the Biafra victory. This hard core woman also said that Biafrans marked another victory on the 26th of September 2016 being the day justice John Tsoho handed off Nnamdi kanu's case, she also counted that as victory “number two”. She said that Biafra restoration is the God's own project and it must be accomplished. She said that the only crime that Nnamdi kanu committed that made Muhammadu Buhari to arrest him is because he is asking for his people's freedom of which is not a crime but a wish to liberate his people from slavery and subjugation. And she prayed for Nnamdi kanu and asked Chukwu okike Abiama to grant him freedom from the detention in the zoo called Nigeria. The second speaker who also was a native of Delta state and was married to Imo state expressed her own observation concerning the celebration of the Nigeria's 56th year’s independent anniversary of corruption and failure. Of a truth, there was no celebration at all that day as everybody was angry. No body found it interesting to put on the green white and green cloth or cap which they normally put on every October 1st she said. She again said that there is a particular church that came out on that day to celebrate the so called independent and they were totally embarrassed, critized and also was chased away by some angry youths. Finally, she said that the independence did not worth celebrating as Muhammad Buhari has inflicted hunger and hardship on people and nobody was happy that day to say 'happy independence to one another. She said that anybody holding Nnamdi kanu is holding God who called him on this mission. And anybody that is fighting against Nnamdi kanu or Biafra is also fighting God. We are no longer interested in this contraption called Nigeria were we are being killed, marginalized and humiliated she said. After which she also prayed for Nnamdi kanu. Another man who also witnessed the women's meeting who is also from Abia state also talked about the October 1st independent anniversary celebration. He said that people saw no reason in celebrating the so called corrupt and failed independence. He said that since that people refused to celebrate the independence, Nigeria has completely died and will never rise again. He urged everyone to continue to be steadfast in the struggle of Biafra restoration and never to relent. Nigeria governments continue to kill and arrest us but one thing is certain - at the end Biafra will come. Free#Nnamdikanu, Free#Biafra.

Nigeria trying to muzzle dissenting voices, Amnesty says Sponsored Stories LAGOS, Nigeria – Amnesty International says Nigeria is trying to muzzle dissent by arresting and intimidating journalists and protesters. The London-based rights group cites examples of police blocking peaceful protests. Those protests include activists demanding the government rescue more than 200 kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls, Shiite Muslims demanding the release of their long-detained leader and separatists calling for an independent Biafra in the southeast. The statement Wednesday says Amnesty has documented cases of enforced disappearances and killings of pro-Biafra supporters by security forces. It also cites the detention of several journalists critical of officials in the government of President Muhammadu Buhari. Amnesty says the intimidation appears to be "a barefaced attempt by the Nigerian government to muzzle dissenting voices." It urges the government to halt detentions without trial and the excessive use of force. www.foxnews.com/world/2016/09/28/nigeria-trying-to-muzzle-dissenting-voices-amnesty-says.html |
