I know a man who's uncle used his father's properties ( A lot in choice parts of Lagos ) in connivance with the family lawyer to facilitate loans from banks to upgrade his and his children's lives. He didn't pay back so the banks have seized the properties.

He and the lawyer lived fululled lives and are dead now. His kids are all doing fine at the expense of the relatives who's inheritance their dad stole.
