Francis Agoda, I Go Dye, has dished out advice to former vice President, Atiku Abubakar, following his formal return to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The Comedian said Atiku should quit ”using sentimental empathy on the youths to express his political ambition,” rather he advocated for a process that will afford the youth the opportunity of a youthful leadership in the 2019 election.


On his Instagram page @igodye_ he wrote “Don’t use sentimental empathy on the youths to express your political ambitions. Sir, you are one of those that have immensely benefited from Nigeria since your birth in 1946.

‘’Having worked for 20 years with the Nigeria Customs where you retired at the age of 43 in 1989 as Deputy Director, your bucket list sure looks good because you were obviously employed at youth 23.

“In 1999 you became governor of Adamawa and ultimately the Vice President, all of these you achieved at 53. What did you do during your time in that exalted position? When will the youths like in your time get a chance? am motivated to speak, based on your statement: A party that does not take the youths into account is a dying party. The future belong to the young. Please which of the future?

“Remarkably, between 1999 and 2007 that you were the Vice president of Nigeria, it is recorded that tertiary institutions witnessed several strikes that wasted seventeen months ,three weeks and three days.Within this period, what did you do?


“If social support were given to youths then, their children will be between 18 and 20 years during the 2019 elections, obviously they would have willingly voted for you or anyone that you endorse in 2019. This is the essence of making sacrifices for the future generation.

“You cannot be credited to have been a philanthropic to the youths. The recent revocation of the NPA contract with Intel,your company,is the major issue.

“As a company either, the people in the region you operated cannot accredit Intel to have provided credible support for the youths or built skills acquisition centers to curb unproductivity as part of it’s cooperate social responsibility , which has resulted to many youths embarking on the sub- sahara deserts route treking to Europe,which has claimed many lives.

“Your excellency,sir Atiku Abubakar, please don’t use sentimental empathy on the youths to express your political ambitions, because by 2019 the youths are preparing to substantiate the real economical, political and progressive change.


“I kindly recommend that you should advocate for process that will afford us the opportunity of a youthful leadership in the 2019 election.”

Tragedy struck in Ajaokuta town on Sunday after a drunken police officer shot dead a father of one.

The victim, Mohammed Ismail, met untimely death at a rally of one of the chairmanship aspirants in the Ajaokuta Local Government Area, Abdulrahaman Dansabe, at the Local Government Secondary School, Ajaokuta.

It was reliably gathered that the incident occurred around 2pm while the aspirant, who is a member of the All Progressives Congress, was unfolding his plans for the area.

An eyewitness told our correspondent that the yet-to-be identified policeman, suddenly opened fire and a bullet hit Ismail.

The development caused confusion in the area as those at the venue of the rally ran for safety.

The eyewitness said, “Some people said the policeman acted under the influence of alcohol.

“Our efforts to save the man proved abortive as he died shortly after he was rushed to a nearby hospital.”

The victim, who was said to be an HND graduate of the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, was later buried around 7.30pm on Sunday.

The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP William Aya, said investigation into the incident was on.

Unknown gunmen yesterday shot and killed one Alhaji Jubril Abdulkareem, the leader of Fulani herdsmenalso known as Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, in Bayelsa.

Abdulkareem and three of his employees were reportedly killed in the afternoon along the Bayelsa Palm road.



A witness who accompanied the victims’ corpses to the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa, told PUNCH Newspaper, under condition of anonymity, that the four victims were killed within the premises of Abdulkareem’s private abattoir.

“The armed men invaded the place this afternoon and shot him. He is a very friendly person and indeed a household name because he is the highest supplier of cows in Bayelsa.

“The gunmen also turned to his boys and killed three of them. It is a sad development,” the witness said.‎

Confirming the incident, Asinim Butwat, the Police Spokesman for Bayelsa Command said that investigation into the incident was underway.


“On December 2, 2017, at about 1230hrs, three unknown gunmen in a Black Mazda 323 car, Reg No yet unknown, went to Azikoro Road by winners U-turn, Yenagoa, where one Alhaji Jibril Abdulkareem, the Chairman Cattle Breeders Association, Bayelsa State Branch, was discussing with three others, shot at them on their heads and drove off to unknown destination.

“Policemen were immediately deployed for possible arrest. The scene was visited by the police.

“Three of the victims one Abiso Abba ‘m’, Yunusa surname unknown and the third name unknown died at the spot, while Alhaji Jibril Abdulkarim was rushed to the hospital for medical attention where he later died.

“Police and other security agencies are working on a promising lead for possible arrest of the suspects.


“Corpses of the Victims have been deposited at the Federal Medical Center, Yenagoa for Autopsy. All units have been alerted and efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects,” Butswat assured.”

Former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kaduna State, Alhaji Yaro Makama has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and returned to the PDP.

Makama decamped to the APC prior to the 2015 general election.

DAILY POST had reported that the former PDP chieftain and over 1000 of his supporters will return to the party following former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar’s footsteps.

Makama returned to the PDP, along with his followers at the weekend in Kaduna.

He was welcomed back to the party at a ceremony attended by top leaders of the PDP, including the interim National Chairman of the party, Senator Ahmed Makarfi and the Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Walid Jibrin, among several others.

Speaking during the occasion, the decampee said he made a grave mistake by joining the APC in 2015.


Makama who spoke in Hausa language, said the APC has failed Nigerians, declaring that the time had come to “change the change.”

He said he joined the party, “thinking it would address the numerous problems confronting Nigerians” but regretted that over two years since its assumption of power, Nigerians were plunged into untold hardship.”

He further condemned the dismissal of teachers and Local Government workers in Kaduna State, alleging that Governor Nasir el-Rufai was implementing anti-people programmes.

He then advised Governor Nasir El-Rufai to start packing his belongings from the Government House, as the people will not vote him again in 2019.


He added, “The APC has brought much suffering to Nigerians, in Kaduna State, the teachers are crying, local government workers are suffering and traditional institutions are ridiculed.

“The school feeding program is in comatose, in fact, nothing is working in the state, so we must change the change.”

Makama was the Chairman of PDP in Kaduna State for eight years when Makarfi was governor.

Ashawnty Davis, a 10 years old girl reportedly committed suicide after a video was shared on social media of her fighting an alleged bully.

The fifth-grade pupil of Sunrise Elementary school in Aurora, Colorado had got into her first ever school fight which turned out to also be her last and the video recording of the fight was posted online, The Independent reports

She died Wednesday after being taken off life support at a children’s hospital, two weeks after she was found hanging in a closet at home.

“It’s just devastating,” her father, Anthony Davis, told Fox31 Denver. “She was just a child of joy and she brought joy to everyone.”

Her mother, Latoshia Harris, claimed the girl had been bullying her.


“I saw my daughter was scared,” Ms Harris said.



Footage of the fight was then uploaded and shared on the app Musical.ly.

“My daughter came home two weeks later and hanged herself in the closet,” Ms Harris said.

According to the Independent, her parents hope her story will help save the lives of other young people.

“We have to stop it and we have to stop it within our kids,” Mr Davis said.

“I want other parents to know that it’s happening,” Ms Harris added. “That was my baby and I love my baby and I just want mothers to listen.”

@babablogger, UI doesn't consider catchment on my merit basis but majority of students in UI are indegenes.
Every blessed year, 35% of the admission quota goes to indegenes but you must HIT your cut off mark including COC e.g. if UI is to admit 10 students and 20 students hit the cut off 3 at least will be indegenes.
The VC even emphasised it recently
