“The smaller generators have been banned by the Federal Government because it is causing air pollution and destruction of our lungs and breathing system. That is why they have banned it but people are still interested in smuggling them in, that is why we intercepted them. “If you go to the market, you still see them because people have imported them before the ban. So it is the leftover they had before the ban that they are selling because the law did not backdate the ban and it is not an absolute prohibition. “It is prohibition by trade which means you cannot bring it in large quantity and sell to the public. That is the type of prohibition we have on this but if you buy one piece, Customs will not seize it. “We will not relent in our efforts. http://www.tribuneonlineng.com/fg-bans-importation-of-‘i-pass-my-neighbour’-generators Killing you slowly? Politics › Fayose's Aide Blast Back At Lai Mohammed Calls Him A Tout And A Propagandist. by babajero(op): 10:21pm On Nov 17, 2015 |
The Special Assistant to the Ekiti State Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka has described the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed as unfit to speak for any decent government, saying, “he speaks like a tout.”
Olayinka, who reacted to statement by the Minister that Governor Ayodele Fayose and others kicking against President Muhammadu Buhari’s Treasury Single Account policy should return to elementary school, said it was shameful that the Minister ran away from the main issue and chose to attack personalities.

Olayinka said: “Now that Daddy Lai Mohammed has been elevated to the position of the spokesperson of the Federal Government of Nigeria, he needs to be purged of the APC basket mouth syndrome that made him to speak like a tout.”
Minister of Information & Culture, Lai Mohammed
Governor Fayose’s spokesperson insisted that the Federal Government must explain to Nigerians why and how it mortgaged their existence to a single company that has made what no manufacturing companies with thousands of employees can make in one month.
Olayinka said “Ekiti State under Governor Fayose is managing its finances perfectly well without the Treasury Single Account, which is obviously aimed at enriching a few individuals at the expense of Nigerians.”
He advised President Buhari to urgently de-brief Lai Mohammed so that he will operate normally as a spokesperson of the government and not APC propagandist.
Olayinka said: “At 63, Lai Mohammed should know that speaking for the federal government of Nigeria is different from speaking for the APC, which he did by always tying corn to his anus while dancing naked at the market place.
“He should know that opposition is a major ingredient of democracy and any democratic government devoid of opposition must be ready to embrace anarchy.
“It is therefore the duty of Nigerians, especially the National Assembly to ask questions on the administration of the resources being held in trust for them by those in power and it is the responsibility of government at all levels to explain.
“When a man like Lai Mohammed, who is employed and being paid with tax payers’ money now chooses to insult Nigerians just because they ask questions, sane minds should pity the President who employed such a loquacious person to speak for his government.
“As for Governor Fayose, he will continue to uphold the truth and speak in the overall interest of Nigerians, not minding the offensive odour emanating from the propaganda infected mouths of Lai Mohammed and his ilk.” |

South East governors convene emergency meeting over Biafra Nov. 22
November 17, 2015 at 7:25 pm in News
Governors of South East states will on Sunday convene an emergency meeting over increasing agitation for the cessation of the zone by the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB).
Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo State said at the end of their meeting in Enugu on Tuesday that the forum needed to ensure lasting peace in the zone.
Okorocha said the governors resolved to consult widely with Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, the apex socio-cultural organisation of the zone, traditional rulers, development unions, the clergy and other stakeholders.
“In furtherance to this, the south-east governors scheduled an emergency meeting of stakeholders on Sunday Nov. 22, 2015 at Enugu.
“Attendance at the emergency meeting will include all National Assembly members, ministers from the zone and other invited stakeholders from the zone”, he said.
The governor advised IPOB/MASSOB to continue to toe the line of peace “as this is the only way to ensure development of the zone.”
Okorocha said the forum was concerned about the state of federal roads in the zone, particularly the Enugu-Onitsha express road, Aba-Ikot Ekpene, Owerri-Port Harcourt and Enugu-Port Harcourt roads.
He called on the Federal Government to intervene urgently on the roads and many others in deplorable conditions.
The governor said the forum agreed to appoint a high level Economic Advisory Committee to harness the economic potentials of the people of the area.

PastorandMentor: All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up. 1 Corinthians 10:23
So the question you should ask yourself; Does it build me up or destroy me? Does it make me want lust after the opposite sex? Does it make me abuse people and disobey traffic and governed rules of the land? When you answer that question, judge yourself deep inside of you. Alcohol is a mocker. Be not drunk with wine but be filled with the spirit. God bless you. Are you sure you read what was written? You wrote 'drunk' and that was the main thing he told you to abstain from and not the drink, drinking doesn't automatically make you a drunker. Same thing goes with money, money is good but love of it is evil so says the bible. |
