Nice one, if this is confirmed then they should start issuing visas

In addition, Vfs submission will most likely be by appointments only. Thus applicants have to book an appointment ahead.

Lagos Vfs is still trying to sort out their biometric capturing devices and may open by tuesday 30th hopefully.

Cheers
Hi, do you know how the 14days self isolation will be like?, will we be able to lodge in hostels that have other people sharing the rooms because finding apartment from Nigeria is hard
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by BabajhideySammy: 6:56pm On Jun 26, 2020
With this 14day self isolation, will it be possible for one to stay in all these backpackers hotels considering that they are shared facilities?

I don't know about yours but the white slip from VFS global Abuja, has my AVATS number as the Bank receipt number which is in between my passport number and Type of entry. My slip was as at last year July, I don't know what yours looks like.

I don't t know how ur visa application fee was paid but mine was cash inside the Vfsglobal there maybe that's why they referenced my bank receipt number as my AVATS number
It is very possible they have changed the whole thing.
Ours was submitted this year, and we paid cash as well

Ordinarily once a positive decision is made on your application, it automatically locks your visa for printing at the visa production section, afterwhich they dispatch. But currently they are not printing and dispatching approved visas because of the lockdown.

On the white print out, there is AVATS number if you actually know what it looks like. It is written there as Bank receipt number, directly below your passport number.
Mine is different, my bank receipt number ends with 0

After application there is a summary page before you print. You were supposed to save that page as a draft on your email for future reference. Then if you have white print out check your AVATS number there. It's an 8 digit number that ends with a 2.

I was reliably informed that the embassy does not convey the result of visa decision via email. I haven't seen anyone that was informed of a visa approval or refusal via email. (I could be wrong, but I haven't seen)
I don’t think the AVATS number is on the slip given to us from VFS, atleast I cant see my AVATs number on my white printout.

Also are documents dispatched after the weekly list comes out?

Visa was approved but not issued yet. Just like since the pandemic, they have been processing visa applications but have not been issuing visas for the approved applications. They said they will start visa issuance once the international flight resumes
Lol, oh well yours is more like countdown to when the ban on international flight will be lifted. Did the embassy mail you to inform you that your application was approved or how did you find out?

You can either send a reminder now or wait till you hear that the UK Embassy is open. Ireland needs them for reference check anyways.

All the best.

Also remember to send updated medical insurance as well if that applies to you.
Thank you

I sent my updated letter in April but the response I got from them was they would hopefully finish processing my application before the end of June, is this the same response you got?
Uhm, not necessarily “finish”, my message seemed more like they would start processing by the end of June.

Kindly send them an email reminder. They are working on previous apps and not open yet for new apps
Good day ICaSNg, I submitted my application in March for April session, but the admission was deferred to September and i sent the updated offer alongside an updated medicover in April to the embassy via mail and they responded that they’ll add it to my file and start working on it as soon as things start to calm down. Do you think I should still send a reminder since they are working on previous application or I should just give it time?. I look forward to your response. Thanks

Hi, do you have any idea what’s going to happen to the health insurance paid for as against the April session?
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by BabajhideySammy: 1:23am On Mar 25, 2020
Thanks for this info. For those of us that already submitted our documents for visa before they stopped accepting new applications. What do you reckon we will have to do? Are we just going to present an updated offer letter or what please.

ICaSNg:
Dear Partner,

Greetings from Dublin Business School and I hope that you and your families are safe and well.

Unfortunately, due the global Covoid-19 pandemic we have taken the decision to postpone studies that were due to commence this April in alignment with all medical and government advice.

This decision was taken with the health and safety of our students and staff in mind.

However, we do plan to offer all courses in the September 2020 with the caveat that this pandemic diminishes over time whereby it is safe and practical for all concerned parties.

We will shortly issue new Offer Letters, for the September 2020 intake, to all applicants that hold an Offer Letter for the April 2020 intake.

As you probably are aware by now the Department of Justice has taken the decision to temporarily cease accepting new visa applications. They intend to resume accepting applications as soon as safety concerns abate - http://www.inis.gov.ie/

Please note that while the physical buildings of the College are currently closed, the College is indeed very much open with all units fully operational.

Current students are completing their studies on-line and the Admissions Office is open and processing student queries and applications as per normal.

We will endeavour to process all applications and requests from you, our partner, as per usual and offer as much support as we can where possible.

We will, of course, continue to keep you updated as this all unfolds over the coming weeks and months.

Thank you, as always, for your on-going support and we look forward to our continued relationship with you.

Kind regards,

What does this mean for applications made before 22nd of March because Denmark stayed theirs clearly that previous applications will still be processed. I think the problem I have with Irish’s message is the word “visa services” because this can also mean both submission of new applications and processing. Any suggestions or news will be appreciated please.

This is the same thing running through my mind, considering the fact that they just closed down all schools till further notice. I am just scared.
