The same crops up my mind.

I lost the rooting after the upgrade. But attempts to re-root with Kingroot (or some other apps like Framaroot, Kingoroot etc) were not successful.

Sincerely, I am missing "sweetness" of some apps that work based on rooted devices.

I hope some techies and gurus in the house would lend a helping hand to root Gionee M5 Mini on Marshmallow 6.

I rooted my Gionee M5 Mini with KingRoot. But I lost the rooting due to upgrading from Lollipop 5.1 to Marshmallow 6.

All attempts to re-root with either KingRoot or other popular rooting apps (like FramaRoot, KingoRoot, Z4Root etc.) prove unsuccessful. (And rooting with PC option scares me.)

I am missing so much "sweetness" of a rooted device! Please may I have your helping hand as to instructions/direction needed to (re-)root the device?

Another one that I find better is called "Neopard". It's also available on Google Play Store.

Having also used Opera Max, I find out the performance of Neopard is better as it saves more data than Opera Max does.

You can give Neopard a try! Just download and install. (Under Preference...setting, tick checkbox to Enable HTTPS for Optimization. You can also adjust the slide according to how high/low resolution of picture/images in your browser should be - the lower being max compression on your data usage).

There are other setting like dragging individual apps left or right according to which ones you want to block from or allow to having access internet connection - so you can control certain apps that you don't want to "eat" your data.

My TECNO M5 was giving error message "Unfortunately, Android system has stopped." I did "wipe cache..." then "reboot system now". But instead of rebooting completely, it just stayed forever on TECNO logo, which thus forced me to remove the battery.

I also did factory reset. After that, it never gave any sign of life. No response to power button; even connecting it to charger didn't light up the screen. It was like dead. However, believe it is "sleeping!", only waiting for the techies and a boss in the house to give clues of what to do in reviving it. Please help me and be blessed. Thank you.
