You did not mention seeing a psychologist, you still need to visit one. They will have drugs they will recommend that will help solve melancholic depression, at least to an extent. As well as tips to follow to get over your emptiness.

Eventhough, you said you don't have suicidal thoughts, it progresses to that stage gradually if not treated. I don't pray that for you.

Eventhough you are not contented with life, accept that there is nothing you can do to change it. So make the best use of it.

-Pray to God about it. Prayer works!
-Open up to your parents, so that they will support you in their own little way.
-Try and be cheerful, hang out more with extroverts, it helps.

I am not a psychologist actually, but I have some points to chip in which might be of help.
You are actually depressed. But I'm surprised given that you don't have traumatic stress experience.

How you are feeling is a function of your temperament. My guess is that you could be a CHRONIC MELANCHOLY. You will be surprised how temperament affect our lives.
