I have heard this "they are not real muslims" shyte, the truth is they started out as muslims, they had clerics who preach violence, the recruited from the mosque before they were unleashed on the world, what did the mosque do to curtail the act, before and after?.......what did they do when the focus was on churches and xtian mainly, its easy to disown a thing once its hurting you PERSONALLY, but what happened in the days of yore?

what happened when some lunatic was calling for jihad?,....you rag heads didn't say anything.

in trying to solve a problem you have to understand the root cause, which in this case is islam
Terrorism and jihad/jihadist are all offshoots of Islam. If Islam was all about Love, peace and prosperity, these offshoots will naturally not exist. I think you guys should check the foundation of this Islam you are really into. I've never seen a religious sect claiming so much lives in the name of their god. Buddhism, Hinduism, etc and the rest even preach more love & peace than the acclaimed Islam.

Only if the gullible south westerners blindly lead their generation to vote for Buhari ,then the north would succeed in islamizing Nigeria by killing all the infidels including south western Christians and simple Muslims . Nigeria is at the brink of a religious war fueled by politics, tribalism and ethnic segregation .
Sadly that is the truth. The SW is blindly playing into the hands of Islamist all because of hate for GEJ, nothing more, and when the chips are down, they will prefer to live in hell than stay in Nigeria. Let me remind everyone about Buhari's commitment to islamizing Nigeria. After reading it, you can tell me who Buhari is.

Why won't they hide them when they know army are fond of molesting and killing innocent people but can't face the real devils.

From your comment, it shows you either a military man or one of the vigilante members.

So your comment make me to think that you people always go to the villages to attack innocent people after the boko haram bomb blast or sporadic shooting. Why can't you go there when BH on sight?
Bro. Let's be honest with ourselves, do you think the northerners don't know the members of the boko haram sect and the families they are from? Even in a village where you have group of guys stealing and molesting people, the villagers know them all and when police comes looking for them, their families are pointed out and giving ultimatum to provide them or face the wrath. Boko haram is not a spirit, they all live and are protected amongst the villagers in the north. Let's stop deceiving ourselves.

The north and northerners have lost it. Islam, islam, islam. One terrible religion that never gives peace. May God give the dead eternal rest. It's so sad. islam has now out shined ritual killing. Na wah ooooo. God split this country fast. We all need to define who we are and who we want to coexist with. this has gone overboard.

2015 polls: We’re ready for war —APC
font size Print Email
22.Nov.2014 DISQUS_COMMENTS Lanre Adewole - Lagos
Opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday said it is battle ready over the 2015 general elections and would not engage in any niceties if it adjudges the polls as tainted.

It excoriated the presidency for blasting Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State over his comment that APC will form a parallel government if PDP wins the general election.

It added that Amaechi’s position was the party’s.

In a statement issued in Lagos by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said that what Amaechi said at the APC’s Salvation Rally was simply to reiterate the stand taken by the party before the last Osun State governorship election.

‘’Those who are fretting about this statement are those who are planning to rig the elections and they should be warned that Nigerians will no longer accept the outcome of any fraudulent polls. Those who incite the people are those who steal their mandate.

‘’What we made is a conditional statement. If A happens, then B will follow. That means if elections are not rigged, there will be no problem. It is therefore laughable that anyone will call that statement treasonable,’’ it said, adding that there is no higher treason than the subversion of the people’s will.

APC said it was common knowledge that anywhere in the world where elections had been rigged, the consequences had been dire, and Nigeria would not be an exception.

‘’Let us remind the presidency, in case it has forgotten, that election fraud triggered a civil war in Algeria in the early 1990s, which led to the killing of over 1,000 people in post-election riots in Kenya in 2007/2008 and fired a near revolution in Iran in 2009/2010. Electoral frauds also corrupt democracy and breed dictatorship, and risk making the people to lose confidence in democracy. Why then would any government react violently if warned against election rigging?’’ the party queried.

It said that instead of issuing threats and engaging in name calling, the presidency should simply brace up to ensure that the forthcoming elections are not only free, fair and credible, but are seen to be so by Nigerians and the international community.

APC said it was necessary to constantly warn the PDP and the Federal Government not to tamper with the 2015 polls because of their alleged penchant for electoral desperation, which manifests in the intimidation of the opposition and the militarisation of election, disposition to anarchy and propensity for impunity.

The party said already, the process leading to the 2015 polls was flawed, with alleged moves to disenfranchise millions of Nigerians by making it impossible for them to either register or get their Permanent Voter Cards and the plot to depopulate the strongholds of the opposition.

‘’PDP and the governments it sired, especially at the centre, are lawless and anarchic. That’s why they can unleash the police against federal legislators in an attempt to force a removal of the Speaker of the House of Representatives. That’s why a state under the control of the PDP will use seven lawmakers to remove the Speaker in a 26-member House of Assembly.

‘’Because it is said that eternal vigilance is the price of freedom, we will constantly warn the PDP and the Federal Government not to tamper with the 2015 elections. We will constantly chide them for trying to institutionalise impunity. We cannot and will not be intimidated by an uptight presidency,’’ it said.

“The PDP and the Jonathan administration are the masters of impunity, and they will not hesitate to exploit any sign of docility in the face of their evil intentions on the part of the opposition. The lessons are there: Had the members of the House of Representatives been docile on Thursday when remote-controlled security agents invaded their premises and barred them from entering, Tambuwal would have ceased to be the Speaker by now.

‘’For us, the gloves are off. We will no longer engage in any nicety as long as some people are bent on thwarting the will of the people through electoral fraud. All we are demanding is a free, fair and credible election. All we are saying is that no one should incite the people by stealing their mandate. How these demands can be construed to mean treason is as baffling as the do-or-die disposition of the ruling PDP to elections,’’ the party said.

What did those old men do at the national conference. A simple law could have solved this problem, and that is" No defection to any party once you are elected on the platform of a party, one can only defect after serving his / her term as an elected officer." Simple, this will stop everyone from defecting and it make it more clear that you cannot defect until you complete your term.

A man that can go to this extent to witch-hunt opposition just because he is so power drunk and desperate to remain in power, some Igbos will still claim he is innocent of boko haram ravaging the north presently. Boko haram is just one of gej's political calculations to disenfranchise the people (north) he hates so much and believe can massively vote him out of power notwithstanding their political affiliation (APC or PDP).

This man is on a mission, and that mission portends national disunity
Who told you GEJ is power drunk. Why not ask your goons in the north who have always insisted that power belongs to the north and they are born to rule. Why are you people so daft, I don't get some of you. Your comments lack depth and you talk like people brainwashed with sulphuric acid. Ever since GEJ won elections, has he ever one month free of violence and bombings from the northerners, yet you say he is power drunk. The northerners have done everything possible through their beloved brothers in boko haram to make governance horrible for this man, yet you come here to talk trash, please delete yourself and go and hug transformer. Rubbish. You should be ashamed of your comment here. Your handle tells it all. It's obvious you just hate GEJ

Beg the government in power to step down for APC right? SamIkenna:
Back to 67? Hmm! interesting.

While you're chasing GEJ, your homeland is burning.

At any rate, I do not think the core north understands there's no solution in Abuja. Abuja is not where problems in a multi-ethnic country are solved, it's where ever decreasing revenue is shared. The north must understand this reality and stop thinking their almajiri, terror, extreme Islam, illiteracy, and multiple wives problem is Nigeria's problem. Chasing the president like a kid who ate a stolen candy while the whole of core is collapsing is a waste of irrecoverable precious time. If the north had put in half the time they used in chasing power and GEJ since 2011 they, perhaps, would have reduced the alarming number of illiterate, almajiri, and terror inclined youths in that region.

Today our oil revenue is falling, tomorrow we might collapse into multiple unfriendly nations. What will be the fate of the core north when the inevitable happens? North's over dependence on Abuja for everything is going to be its greatest undoing when their former comrades they love to hate disappear from the radar. Look at what Ogun state is doing currently - that state is trying to stand on her two feet before the coming doom sets in. Yesterday I stated that Anambra and Abia should up their game and go even futher than Ogun state - that's how a people survive.

The north must know that every region is alone, hence must learn to walk and survive alone. If anyone is in doubt as to the degree of loneliness and lack of empathy that currently exists in Nigeria, the last national conference is a good start. In the conference we saw how other regions wanted to get in on the money meant to rehabilitate the terror ravaged north east - this should tell the north that the Nigeria that fed them belly-full for the last 45 years is gone. Even though the proponents of the 'terror allowance' had questionable motives, the outcome of that debate was a clear indication that in this country, in this supposedly 'one nation,' you are on your own.

I hope the north gets this message before it's too late.
Well said.
Politics › Re: Northern Senators Kick Against Emergency Rule by babestella: 10:34pm On Nov 20, 2014
Those calling for the removal of the state of emergency as just doing that so as to rubbish the personality of the president. If they know what terrorism is all about, they will even call for total state of emergency. The destruction we have today in the north east despite the state of emergency will be child's play compared to not having a state of emergency. I think Mr. President should relax the state of emergency, the same northerners will later run to ABUJA to accuse Mr. President of insensitivity. Humans are desperately wicked, ungrateful, and selfish. Time shall tell.

In the interest of the innocents citizens of the NE, a total state of emergency is needed and a full scale war declared against BH.

My take, if a Christian cannot rule Nigeria, we have no reasons coexisting. They are all bunch of terrorist and their leaders are the ones sponsoring boko haram just because a Christian is in Aso rock. Boko haram will always increase in number as long as a Christian is in Aso rock even if that Christian is on APC platform. They are so savage.
