BusinessRe: All Nigerian Banks Should Emulate Islamic Jaiz Bank Policies – Emir Of Gwandu by BABSIN(m): 5:51pm On Jan 28, 2017
How I wish they know.
At inception in 2012, not many people believed that JAIZ BANK would thrive in a tough business environment like ours because of the unique business model it was offering , infact, many of the financial pundit here on facebook was so cynical about the the bank operation and even projected that the Bank will not stand the test of time.

However, the Good new is that between then and now JAIZ BANK deposit has sky- rocketed by 1,433 % - from N3 BILLION TO 46 BILLION Today. It Management also recorded a unique feat on the Strength of it balance sheet going from N12 BILLION to N60 BILLION within the period. In addition, its asset financing has reached N30 BILLION just as its customer are over 150,000 across different ethnic and religious divide in the country.

The growth of JAIZ BANK has attracted global media and financial institutions. According to Economist, " Ernst & Young ...estimates that Islamic Banking assets grew at an annual rate of 17.6% between 2009 and 2013, and will grow by an average of 19.7%a year to 2018".

Christianity EtcVideo: Apostle Suleman Johnson Made U-turn After DSS Saga "Self Defense & Peace" by BABSIN(op): 8:36pm On Jan 27, 2017
Suleiman (Video 2) ~ Self Defence & Peace.

After his brush with the DSS, Suleiman's tune has changed. In this 2nd video, he is advocating self defence and peace. It is very different from the first video which preached murder.

"We need peace in Nigeria. I never issued a statement saying christians should go around killing. I am a man of GOD.
I issued a statement that christians should defend themselves. Defend yourself. But do not go attack people whether they are muslims, whether they are christians, do not go attack them. But do not drop your neck for people to cut it.
My prayer is GOD will bring strange peace to Nigeria. If I hear a christian has attacked a muslim, I will be the one to go to attack them because it is wrong. We can be christians, we can be muslims in the same country. But if I hear someone is going to attack a christian, I will not close my mouth. Christians have died enough. "

I have posted both short videos. Please watch em and hear the huge difference between the 1st video of violence and murder and this 2nd video of self defence and peace.

Foreign AffairsBreaking! Gambia's Yahya Jammeh 'agrees To Step Down' by BABSIN(op): 9:17pm On Jan 20, 2017
Gambia's new president has said that Yahya Jammeh, who ruled the country for 22 years and refused to step down after losing the recent election, has finally "agreed to leave".

Writing on Twitter on Friday, Adama Barrow said Jammeh would also leave the country.

Inside Story - Can a showdown be averted in Gambia?
"I would like to inform you that Yahya Jammeh has agreed to step down. He is scheduled to depart Gambia today. #NewGambia," he tweeted.
arrow was sworn-in at Gambia's embassy in Dakar in neighbouring Senegal on Thursday.

Red carpets were on Friday reportedly laid out at the airport in Gambia's capital in what appeared to be preparations for a speech by Jammeh and a departure.

Also on Friday, Gambia's chief of defence forces Ousmane Badjie pledged his allegiance to the country's new president, a major shift as mediation continued to persuade defeated Jammeh to cede power.

Jammeh had rejected Barrow's December 1 election win, despite significant pressure from regional powers and the UN, sparking a major crisis.

I am an advocate of LinkedIn with over 6K Followers and I have also mandated my Staffs to have a LinkedIn Page which for now is the World renowned Professional Page. It is like having your Cv Online for intending recruiters. How do you have tens of social media pages without a single Professional Page and still complain of no Job.

I get an average of 1 job request in 2 months in LinkedIn from Head Hunters. The emerging trend is that Recruiter no longer send out Job Vacancy but outsourced them to Head Hunters (Usually Individual HR expert in Recruitment). The head Hunter goes on LinkedIn, filters the candidates base on their Job Requirements and only wanted Individual are contacted. This save company the trouble of going through thousand CV's and Interview session.

I have also discovered of recently that Covenant University is Very active on LinkedIn, In fact all the school community, right from the Vice Chancellor AAA. Atayero to the Registrar, Lecturers and thousand of Students are on LinkedIn. May be it is a requirement by the School. All in all it is very commendable to expose student to Professionalism at the early stage.

Every body, rice, rice, rice, rice! Shey na rice wan be our next foreign exchange export?

Anyway e good sha.
If only you know how many million metric tonnes of rice we import annually. Right now, Nigeria can only produce one fourth of his annual rice need. We are the largest importer of rice in Africa and the second in the world. RICE is one of major commodity that place enormous strain on our dollar demand right now may be $10billion daily or so.

So I would suggest any well meaning Nigeria with enough fund to find a way into the supply chain of our local rice production.
SportsMeet Dr. Takasu Katsuya- The Dream Team Vi Benefactor by BABSIN(op): 9:25am On Aug 22, 2016
Katsuya Takasu (高須 克弥 Takasu Katsuya?, January 22, 1945 in Isshiki, Aichi, Japan) is a plastic surgeon based in Tokyo.

Takasu is a member of Japan Medical Association, Japan Society of Aesthetic Surgery, Japanese Association of Cosmetic Surgeons, Japan Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. In January 2011, Takasu was also appointed to be a visiting professor of cosmetic surgery at Showa University School of Medicine.

Japan’s most famous plastic surgeon for over 20 years, Dr. Takasu has been a pioneer in seeking and evaluating new treatments from around the world. He is well known and respected by the leading cosmetic surgeons from around the world, and has hosted many of them while leading international conferences in Japan. He brings this wealth of information to the evaluation and care of each patient.

Furthermore, Dr. Takasu makes it a rule to test out innovative medical procedures on his own face and body before performing them on patients. In this way, he can better understand the procedure, how it works, and how it feels for the patient. He has had several facelifts, upper and lower blepharoplasty, deep chemical peel, high-definition liposuction, hair transplant and buccal fat removal, just to name a few.

Life

Takasu studied at Showa University School of Medicine in Tokyo. As a graduate student, Takasu went to Germany and Italy, where he studied plastic and cosmetic surgery.

In 1974, he established Takasu General Hospital in his hometown, and in 1976, Takasu Clinic in Nagoya.[5] As of 2010, Takasu Clinic has its branches in Tokyo, Yokohama, and Osaka.[6] In 1987, Takasu performed liposuction in Japan for the first time, having learned the technique from Pierre Fournier in Paris, France.[7] Takasu has been President of Japan Society of Liposuction Surgery since 1987.[8]

Rejuvenation Project[edit]
In 1999, at the age of 54, Takasu started to feel it strange that cosmetic surgeons looked older than their patients. He also thought it odd that surgeons actually did not know how painful each procedure was. Takasu made a resolution to experience a series of cosmetic surgeries himself and rejuvenate by 20 years. Within a year, Takasu underwent facelift, buccal fat removal, phenol peel, upper and lower blepharoplasty, hair transplantation, liposuction, and golden thread implant. As of 2010, at the age of 65, his rejuvenation project is still in progress. Takasu later referred to the resolution as life changing, because it brought him back to the starting point of a medical doctor, "share the pains with patients."

Philanthropy

Takasu is also a philanthropist. Immediately after the 1995 Great Hanshin earthquake, which killed 6,434 people and injured 43,792, Takasu established Organization of Cosmetic Surgery Volunteers in cooperation with surgeons from 9 other clinics. The organization offered plastic and reconstructive treatment to the earthquake victims for free. Dr Takasu also donated the sum of US$390,000 to the Nigeria Under-23 football team, as a reward for their performance at the ongoing Rio 2016 Olympics.

Guinness World Record

On August 2, 2011, Dr. Takasu together with his friend Koji Ishida (aged 71) established a Guinness World Record of most golf holes played by a pair in 12 hours (cart). The pair completed 261 holes at Kyowa Country Club, Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

PoliticsMan Who Named Pet Dog Buhari Rearrested, To Appear In Court On Monday by BABSIN(op): 6:35am On Aug 20, 2016
*Suspect being held in CID cell
*We arrested him to save his life — Police
*I’ll not forgive those that killed my dog — Suspect
By Daud Olatunji

THE Ogun State Police Command yesterday, said it had rearrested Mr. Joe Chinakwe, who named his pet dog Buhari, noting that the suspect would be arraigned in court on Monday. It also stated that Chinakwe, who was earlier released a few days ago, was picked up again based on its belief that the suspect’s action was capable of provoking an ethnoreligious crisis. The embattled trader, Chinakwe. Saturday Vanguard had exclusively reported the three-day detention and subsequent release of the 30-year old after the intervention of the Serkin Hausa and President-General of non-indigenes in the state. He was taken into custody after one of his neighbours, who was later found out to be a Nigerien complained that the dog was named after his father, Alhaji Buhari. It was learned that the prompt intervention of the elders made the complainant to withdraw the case at Sango-Ota Division. Police sources had earlier told Vanguard that upon his release, the father of two, who hails from Ukwunzu in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State and the complainant were made to sign an undertaking not to cause any breach of peace. In the light of these, the suspect’s arrest yesterday opened another page on the matter that had aroused public interest.

However, the state’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Abimbola Oyeyemi, told newsmen that Chinakwe was rearrested yesterday to prevent the state from being plunged into crisis, adding that the complainant and his sympathisers had threatened to kill the suspect. He further stated that the suspect was being held at the Criminal Investigation Department of the command, noting that the arrest was done to save Chinakwe’s life. In addition, the Police mouthpiece said the suspect, had confessed that he named his pet dog Buhari and had the name written on the body of the dog. His words: “The man is here with us. He is at the Criminal Investigation Department. The charge will be prepared here and he will be arraigned at Sango Magistrate Court on Monday. “He is going to court on Monday because what he did was highly provocative. It can cause an ethnic and religious crisis. We have to be proactive, we cannot fold our arms and allow the state to be plunged into crisis. “In fact, the arrest was made to save the suspect’s life because the complainant and his group have threatened to kill him if he comes back and this may trigger violence”. Further investigation by Vanguard showed that the Police had not recovered the dog which may likely serve as evidence. Chinakwe was arrested last Saturday after one of his neighbours complained that he named the dog after his father, Alhaji Buhari.
