Baddestguyp: Lust, Caution (2007)
The erôtic scenes in this movie were very explicit...
Synopsis: Lust, Caution is set in Hong Kong in 1938 and in Shanghai in 1942, when the city was occupied by the Imperial Japanese Army and ruled by the puppet government led by Wang Jingwei. The film depicts a group of Chinese university students from the University of Hong Kong who plot to eliminate a high-ranking special agent and recruiter working for the puppet government by luring him into a honey trap. The film is generally accepted to be based on the historical event of Chinese spy Zheng Pingru It seems the sèx scenes were real. But not confirmed yet The actress was banned in the Chinese movie industry after the movie... The scene was captured in a room with only the two actors and a single member of the crew... (Suspicious) Blu-rays showed condoms and "the credits of the NC-17 version of the film, released in the USA, include an 18 USA § 2257 notice. This is normally only used for pornography or other films including actual intercourse." |

OhBritannia: This is what i have come to personally believe. They say that variety is the spice of life.
If you really want to enjoy premium entertainment in it's theateric form, pure and undiluted play free from media hype and VFX. Start seeing series that ain't Hollywood.
See polish, French, Chinese, norwish Argentine series, etc Literally start seeing series that ain't main media American or main media hypes and you will begin to understand that the best series lies in the shadows.
Americans are good though, they have used the media and social media to lure us, lol They are the best advertisers, i give it to them.
The next series i will be watching now is a British series when i am done with episodes 7 and 8 of paradise. Coming from a guy constantly hating on anime... You should take your own advice first... |

OhBritannia: The count of monte cristo is a solid 10/10 for me.
I have never ever doubted a French series before, especially the one shot on a historical or ancient settings. This series is one series that feels like watching a live theater play and reading a novel. The storyline is carefully told in details and if you are distracted for a second especially in the first three episodes, you will lose the entire plot.
A series based on love, betrayal, revenge, loyalty and friendship. A series based on one single fact!!! The sins of men lives with them.
Dialogues 10/10 Storyline 10/10 Casts 10/10 Thriller 10/10 Twists and turns 10/10 Pictures 10/10
Another thing i appreciate about this series is how The casts gave it their all, the emotions, their facial composure are incredible. Their use of words, coupled with poetry and drama are just unbelievable.
Series ended well, justice was served and i think there will be no need for a second season at all.
One thing i have come to know is that Americans are not the best when it comes to pure acting and they seems to cover up with their wonderful VFX and media hype.
Europeans and Asians are better actors and actresses. Anyways this is what i believe. I don't know whether to watch the movie for this or the anime... Or maybe both |

We're waiting ...
You don't understand the movie.
Ranks don't get increased you can only hone your rank to bet better. Jin woo is not limited by rank. He's a player. He's solo leveling.. his Rank will always increase and he'll always get better.
Why do you think the S rank hunters find it difficult to know if he's an assassin or a mage? Lol It seems you didn't read the post you were quoting... I clearly stated in my post that the established Lore of the show is that Hunters don't increase in rank... But there are rare case of it happening, that is why there is a reassessment system in place... |

ProverbBaelish: 😂😂Maybe he probably forgot this is just like 10% of the manga And the main character has achieved all his goals already...with little stress... He has cured his mother... He has gone from probably the weakest Hunter in the country to S-Rank and one of the strongest Hunters in the country in like what? A few weeks or months? He literally has girls all over falling for him...when he was a loser that had only one girl who cared for him before... If the MC has achieved everything in like 10% of the story...then it feels unearned... |
TV/Movies › Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by Baddestguyp(m): 2:56pm On Mar 04, 2025 |
samistry: My issue with him is he complained that invincible plot dragged only to turn around then complain that Jin Woo healing his mother is too soon. He's forgotten that AOT took 10 years for the anime to wrap up. Completely different complaints... In Invincible, after season 1, many episodes have felt like filler without focusing on the central plot. Even the final villain of season 2 was someone who appeared in like S2E1 and was forgotten only to reappear in the finale after the audience have forgotten he existed... Season 3 of Invincible is following the same format. Different random villains every week while little is there for the main plot... I heard the issue with Invincible is the comics... That the comics didn't even have a central plot but just random superhero stuff around Mark's life...but the animated series basically rewrote the season 1 to make the plot more streamlined...
For Solo Levelling, the issue here is different... Sung Jin Woo's main goal was to cure his mother... But very little has been established since this was revealed in episode 1. He's just been clearing dungeons in the hope of finding a cure somehow...and now without much effort he found a cure... It feels like the main character achieved his aim easily without giving the audience any reason to be emotionally attached to his goal... without struggle... Imagine if Luffy ate the devil fruit, became Emperor Level in a single season and became the Pirate King by season 2. Or Naruto suddenly became the Hokage without stress...he clears the Akatsuki and all the villains easily, saves the world in season 2 and becomes the Hokage... It's not just about length of time, but emotional attachment and buildup is needed to make the audience care. In Naruto, we know how much he struggled, rose and fell, suffered...etc... In Solo Levelling, Sung Jin Woo has not struggled against any enemy since like S1E5 or 6 |

NobleStag007: He won against those class of hunters in fights as presented by the system. Hence, he inherited their powers. What's difficult for you to understand there.
System owns his life and can kill him at anytime. System puts him through tests and he proved worthy.
No wonder you love arcane that has absolutely nonsense plot lol Without the levelling powers gifted by the system, where would he be? Was he the first ever courageous E-Rank Hunter? Yes he passed challenges and tests set by the system, but acting like everything he got is down to his hardwork is funny when he could have simply been left to die alone in the dungeon and forgotten. The Levelling power he was given is extremely OP and completely breaks the power system of the world. Ah yes...I thought some of y'all said I hated Arcane before... If I praise a show, it means I am a fanboy... If I criticize a show, it means I am a hater...
Just so you know...I heavily criticized Arcane season 2 on this thread

NobleStag007: Kai.. it's either you hate the show or you have no idea about what you are saying. You are the 1st person I'll see to say jin woo doesn't deserve his power.
Despite being the weakest, he literally save them. Despite being the weakest, he's ready to sacrifice his life to save others, despite being the weakest, he knew he couldn't win the guardians, even though he's injured, he refused to give up but fight...
And here you saying something else totally.. oro e ya mi lenu lol Where did I say he didn't deserve it? I said he was gifted the power. Let's analyze - Was he the first person in their world to show courage despite being weak? Was he the first person left to die? There have been many unknown E-rank hunters before him and they get stuck at E-rank forever and even die in a dungeon despite their courage... In his case, he was gifted a power that literally breaks the established Lore and power system. While "almost every other Hunter" gets stuck at their Rank, he gets to keep upgrading and becoming more and more powerful because the system has a plan for him... I used the phrase "almost every other Hunter" because I know he's not the first Hunter to have their Rank upgraded during reassessment but it's incredibly rare. I am not saying Sung Jin Woo did not do any hardwork... I am saying he also got gifted powers that made him OP.... If he wasn't gifted, he would have died and been forgotten like many other previous courageous E-Rank Hunters that died in dungeons
Before the system gave him power, he literally had absolutely no way of saving his mum. As an E-rank Hunter he was only able to make ends-meet

Baddestguyp: ATTACK ON TITAN POST LISTING SOME FLAWS, PLOTHOLES INCONSISTENCIES, ETC
Season 1 One clear plothole is in season 1 episode 5, the 60m tall Collosial Titan completely vanished into thin air after breaking the gate of Trost District. This makes absolutely no sense as nothing we've seen from this show explains it. While it is Canon that Titans, especially the Collosial can control the speed of its evaporation, there's nothing to show that it can simply vanish into thin air in a split second. Clear plothole/inconsistency
Season 2 Weird plot convenience. In S2E12, after Eren expends all his strength healing his limbs. He encounters the Dina Fritz Titan (Smiling Titan) and is unable to transform cos he's out of strength. However he conveniently just threw a useless punch on the Titan's arm not really expecting anything to happen. Because of Dina being a Titan of Royal blood, the powers of the founder is activated saving Eren and the scouts. You could explain it as Eren punching it out of frustration but still... Funny tho, S4 revealed a twist of Eren once controlling the Dina Titan. Meaning he could have purposely sent it to child Eren to have contact and activate the power to save his friends
Season 3 part 2 Plothole/convenience of how Armin was able to survive with his entire body burnt to crisp and falling off that height. He probably fell like 30m and still survived after his body was burnt. Maybe Eren helped him land? Dunno But how did he somehow remain alive during all their arguments about Erwin V Armin. Plothole imo
Also the Reiner plot armor. Reiner showed an ability to spread his consciousness across his body. But that ability was never mentioned again, possibly because the author realized how dûmb that idea was and how much obvious plot armor it could lead to.
Season 4 part 2 Unanswered question/potential plothole? In the episode "From You 2000 years ago", we see the origin of the founder Ymir. We learnt how she married King Fritz and that the Titan powers split after her kids ate her côrpse and their children further ate theirs.
The question here is if all subjects of Ymir originated from Ymir and her daughters, what is the difference between subjects of Ymir and those of the Royal Blood.
While there are many theories that could solve this question, the fact is that the story never explicitly addressed this. We never got an official answer and thus this could essentially be a plothole since it was left unanswered by the author.
Season 4 part 3 special 2 Minor complaints, but we never fully explored the origin of the Hallucigenia. Zeke addresses it but a lot of fans felt it needed to be addressed more.
Minor complaint, but the show leaves a lot to interpretation on the Ymir Fritz and Mikasa relationship. While most fans can piece together things, I believe the show should have delved further into the explanation as to why it had to be Mikasa.
Minor funny complaint, but how TF did Mikasa get back to Paradis to bury Eren? She didn't seem to have any exclusive means of transportation. ODM gear can't get her that far. The flyingboat was also destroyed. I didn't see any means of transportation she could handle by herself carrying Eren's head. This didn't make any sense to me
There are still a few minor issues or unexplained contrivances that I feel aren't really worth mentioning cos they could be easily theorized
Overall....ATTACK ON TITAN remains undoubtedly one of the best TV shows ever produced. And in my own opinion the best show I've ever watched.
One thing people can all agree on is how great the lore, story, allegory, characters, themes and Dynamics are. For a series that is constantly changing or adapting genres, it manages to pull off everything well. It links and ties up plot points better than most TV shows could ever dream of and it pulls off incredible levels of foreshadowing and plot twists. It also teaches us many valuable lessons like how to appreciate the small precious moments in life
It also holds its place among the best anti-war pieces of fiction ever created. All its realistic war themes and allusion to real life events including some of the allusion to how the Nazis operate, it's allusion to the 1st and 2nd World War and even most wars in history.
The final season coming out during different real-life conflicts is able to shed light on different perspectives of war, genocide, propaganda, human nature, etc
This show has opened my eyes to different perspectives of war even more than any other show I've seen beforehand do. This is because it has some of the most realistic portrayal of the effects of war, racism, etc
Overall a 10/10 masterpiece that will be talked about for years to come as one of the greatest shows of all time. . @ TemporaryHansel Your agenda won't "agend" today |

Someone was gifted a power that breaks the rules of the world in the show but you said he worked for it....
By the lore, he should have been stuck at E-rank forever or even died since...
Not only that, he even uses skills from different classes of hunters...him dey use Mage skill, assassin skills etc... |

NobleStag007: Laughing..like I said.. you never watch solo leveling.
He earned it. It's called COURAGE OF THE WEAK! That's why the system saved him and gave him power.
Abi you are watching it without subtitles? Lol.. You can laugh all you want. Claiming I never watched a show I follow weekly is wild... A weakling was gifted powers you said he earned it by courage? Lol... Even with his courage, he could have been left to die without being gifted anything... He didn't earn anything, he was gifted because they have a plan for him...but we don't know what they plan for him yet... Even if you argue that he trained to level up the power he was gifted, in so little time he is already S-Rank level compared to people who have trained the whole life but are forever stuck to the same rank... For a while now he has been sweeping every enemy with ease and comfort, and achieved his goal of saving his mom easily, but apparently he worked hard The 100 levels were even so easy for him that most of the fights were offscreen...man was clearing floors so fast |

All that disliked episode 9 never loved Solo leveling nor understand the main characters pains
He's saved his mother, now he's to save the people from jeju island.
Seems you people didn't understand what the mother said when she woke up.. that he's just like his father.. saves lives..
You people expect him to sit at home with his mother and be playing while others are dying right?
Nonsense What pain? From episode 1, his mom was in coma. We barely got anything from or about her since then. Now he was easily able to cure her by defeating some fodder bosses It didn't feel earned at all. Baiting the audience with emotional music is not enough. It is the writing that should make the audience care for it... Not only that but we've quickly moved past it and onto the Jeju raid |

DieRich5: at the bold thats why the episode was bad, if there is no fighting at least give us something.
The next episode too won't be good also, one thing about solo levelling, only Sung Jin Woo's fight is interesting and he won't be fighting in the next episode Solo Levelling is enjoyable when you understand it's Jin Woo fighting and aura and all girls falling for him. That's all the series has to offer. From what I've read from manhwa readers, even the current S-Rank Hunters will soon become fodder whose only purpose is to wànk Sung Jin Woo I laugh when some people compare it to JJK JJK has a lot going for it beyond fighting. Even the Hidden Inventory Arc in early S2 of JJK has better character writing than all of Solo Levelling Even the 100th Floor boss was barely a threat to Sung Jin Woo. There's barely any stakes left that he won't stomp. The Jeju arc they've been hyping since S1, I doubt it would last longer than this season... |

DieRich5: forget about fight bro, I know what I'm talking, the episodes is not solid I am not sure what people were expecting? Good writing? Action? The show never had even decent writing... The character got so OP in a single season and achieved his entire goal Midway through season 2. It didn't even feel earned cos he got a cheat code. There was also zero emotional buildup to make the audience care about him actually saving his mother... He has saved his mother and the series moved on like it's nothing... Even if action is the only thing the series has, it can't have action every episode It's best to just enjoy the show for what it is --- fight scenes and aura farming |
