Season 3, Episode 5 "eps3.4_runtime-error.r00". The episode Angela and Elliot infiltrated E. corp during that chaotic protest.

Season 4, Episode 5 "405 Method Not Allowed" The episode Elliot and Darlene broke into that data center to hack it from within....

One shot, no cuts, just brilliant cinematography and direction for those 2 episodes...

I also liked how the episode names were "hacker centric" to keep with the theme of the show...e.g Season 4 episode 4 was titled "404 Not Found"....burst my head fa 😩

Top tier show fr...how did you manage a rewatch? I might eventually give it a rewatch along the line, but for now, make my head cool abeg 😩😅

I watched it first time some years ago...
And I rewatched it early this year...

Those episodes actually had well hidden cuts, but they are not easy to spot...
It would have been impossible to make an entire 1 hour episode without any cuts...

I still remember my first reaction to Elliot kissing Darlene forgetting she's his sister

Or almost the entire season 2 when he was in prison but his mind was messed up to cope...

There's this uncut scene towards the end of season 2 when Darlene was in a restaurant with her bf...and some Dark Army assassins came on a bike...scenes was pretty epic...

The E-corp raid episode was also insane...from the planning to the riot, everything was done to look uncut...

The other episode in S4 when Darlene said "we don't have to talk" and no one spoke throughout the episode. People were even texting
Till the dude at the end said "I think it's time we talked"

Angela dying at the beginning of season 4 was shocking even on a rewatch...the way it was done...brutal...



Some other flaws I noticed e.g in season 4, Darlene and her cop gf trusting White Rose's man who simply told them the Dark Army was no longer interested in them...
I mean, he had no reason to lie since he could have killed them if he wanted... but their reaction to it still made no sense...they shouldn't even have considered getting on that plane...

And after the hack, they made it seem like these billionaires became broke as if they'd really put all their funds in one account...
No matter how secure and offshore those accounts were, these billionaires wouldn't trust a single source...
They likely had many assets too...both fixed and floating assets...
Lands, shares, etc...

I get the main target was crippling White Rose's influence within the Deus Group but it still felt odd

I had numerous false starts with this show. The premise seemed like such a clusterfvck that I couldn’t wrap my head around it or, to put it more conveniently, I didn’t have the mental mantle to fully grasp it. But a few days ago, I decided to give it my undivided attention. Right off the bat, I can confidently say this is one of the best shows ever made. It has earned a spot in the upper echelons of the greatest TV experiences I’ve ever had.

At its core, Mr. Robot follows Elliot Alderson, a socially awkward cybersecurity engineer by day who moonlights as a vigilante hacker. Recruited by the enigmatic Mr. Robot, Elliot sets out to dismantle oppressive corporate America, represented by the monolithic E Corp. As the plot unfolds, it becomes clear that this revolution is just a backdrop for Elliot's larger battle......with himself.

On the surface, it might seem like a show tailored for programmers and ethical (or unethical!) hackers.. However, at its heart, Mr. Robot caters to everyone. With its brilliant writing, it explores themes and metaphors that mirror the human condition in profound and relatable ways.

The show examines how corporations hold people hostage, exerting incredible influence over their daily lives. It’s a sobering critique of modern systems of power and oppression. At the same time, Mr. Robot dives deeply into mental health and identity. Elliot’s dissociative identity disorder is central to the story. Mr. Robot, revealed as a manifestation of Elliot’s father, embodies his fractured psyche and coping mechanisms. The series portrays mental health with nuance, showing Elliot’s struggles with empathy and authenticity in a way that feels raw and real.

One of the defining traits of Mr. Robot is its unreliable narration. Elliot’s perspective constantly challenges viewers to question what’s real, mirroring his fragmented sense of reality. The show’s brilliant use of fourth-wall breaks pulls us into Elliot’s world as his confidants. As we watch idly for four seasons, the show makes us complicit, a metaphor for real life, where people often endure mental anguish while the world looks on and moves forward.

Rami Malek delivers a stunning performance, capturing Elliot’s vulnerability and quiet intensity. In a lighter vein, his portrayal was almost too good and one might wonder if this loner and depressed persona mirrors his real life, potentially leading to typecasting. Regardless, Malek’s performance cements Elliot as one of the most iconic TV characters.

I believe no media is perfect, and Mr. Robot is no exception. The pacing in Season 2 is brutally slow, leaving you in a metaphorical "mind prison." It’s easy to feel tempted to drop the show at this point. Additionally, while the character arcs and development are among the finest in TV history, Tyrell Wellick’s storyline though brilliantly written, feels unresolved and leaves much to be desired by the series’ end.

Mr. Robot is more than a story about hacking or societal rebellion. It’s a profound meditation on identity, trauma, and the human spirit. Its audacious storytelling and execution cement its place as one of the most groundbreaking series in recent history.

That said, this is not an easy watch. It goads you, baits you, and challenges your perception of what’s happening. Just when you think you’ve figured things out, the door closes again, and you’re left in a loop of the unknown. Some might even argue that it requires an acquired taste to truly enjoy. But I urge you to persevere, it’s worth it in the end. The series delivers all the answers in one of the most satisfying finales ever.

This is an all-timer. Brilliant, brilliant show. 👏🏿

It's one of the best shows I've ever seen. So many brilliantly directed episodes...

I've seen the show twice...it has some of the best directed episodes I've seen on TV...

There's an entire episode that was shot in a way as if there were no cuts...

Also, Season 4 episode 7 proxy authentication or so is an all-time....

If you're not enjoying the Silo politics maybe the series is not for you. Not everything has to be fast paced action. I have read the books and the reveal is not quite what you would expect, they have not even finished adapting the first book so don't expect that revelation this season.

This season will likely end with Juliette's return and the long awaited rebellion.

Asking for better pacing does not mean I want fast paced action.

This season of the show is poorly paced...
and from what I've heard, most of the season is filler because season 1 didn't cover all of the first book and book 2 focuses on several new characters

Dialogue exists in every movie, but some are heavy on it.

Those heavy on dialogue have dialogue that are rich in meaning. Every time you watch the movie, you tend to catch new details. The dialogue is not predictable.

Just like The Godfather saying "I'll make him an offer he can't refuse." Some other movies will simply put it as "I'll send some men to go beat him up till he submits to my demand."

In dialogue movies, once you don't follow, you won't understand. That's why many snooze on them. They are basically for intelligent people and lack the silly actions of one man beating 50 people up inside a room. Again, don't get me wrong. Some of them do have crazy fight scenes, but that is not their strong point.

Examples are Inglorious Bastards, The Hateful Eight, Django Unchained, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, The Godfather, Reservoir Dogs, Good Fellas, etc.

Funny how the example you used isn't even what I would classify as rich dialogue...
If you think that dialogue you quoted makes you intelligent, sorry...

Again, a movie can have rich dialogue and still have a lot of action, suspense, intrigue etc...

One is not exclusive to the other...

You see many people here and even on the series thread dropping great quotes from different movies, series, anime etc...

You seem to have an issue whereby you see yourself as intelligent for spotting good dialogue in movies...

Meanwhile many others have watched so many movies/series/anime with even better dialogue but don't make much of a fuss around it ...

It takes me a simple conversation with a movie enthusiast to guess how much media literacy a person possesses and trust me you are not anywhere close...

Some of the movies or shows you look down on have even far richer dialogue than what you watch. Not only in terms of deeper meaning of the dialogue but also in foreshadowing...

Rich dialogue and choice of words is also used to convey a character's personality and beliefs...

I have watched shows whereby you can write an entire epistle dissecting a single conversation...
And some of these are the so called anime you look down on...

I will repeat...judging entire mediums you know nothing about does not make you look smart...it makes you look ignorant

If we go into in-depth analysis on character writing, themes of shows, symbolism and visual storytelling of movies/series...

A person who cannot distinguish good writing from poor writing somehow thinks he has standards on what form of media is mature and what is immature.

They think they are mature and more knowledgeable just because they seclude themselves from certain forms of media...

Conclave is not for certain people, especially Anime and Arcane kind of guys. The movie deserves a 10/10 because of the strong dialogue, character development and story-telling.

It reminds me of The Hateful Eight by Quentin Tarantino which I tried watching when it got released. I found it boring and so I quit right after the first 20 minutes. I remember my elder brother telling me that the movie is interesting. Just last week, I finally saw it after almost a decade. Boy, was I blown away?

Maturity made me like The Hateful Eight and it is that same maturity that made me like Conclave. I guess anime and video game-loving boys won't follow.

It is not everything that should be action, action, action. Why not dialogue, dialogue and more dialogue?

Conclave is what men watch. Arcane is what men who failed to put away childish things watch.

For the 20+ years I have been watching movies, I've never come across a genre of movie called dialogue movies

Dialogue is merely a part of device used in movies and almost every movie uses dialogue to tell it's story.

Yet I passed the GT exam and got called for the interview on Abuja. The questions were not really deep mathematics but rather quantitative and basic maths knowledge can help you with 90% of them

I did mine at Nasarawa State. I applied for the experienced legal position but when I logged in, to start the exam with the passcode allocated to me, I saw that the heading of my exam was boldly written "Information Technology". Questions were on ICT, HSE and engineering. Was wondering why they should prepare those type of questions for a lawyer. Only to be informed by the invigilators after I complained that the questions originally meant for me might have been mistakenly swapped with that of an engineering/ICT experienced candidate. Omo, I confuse ooo. I was also told that some centers experienced a similar issue. They said they have escalated the matter and hope to get a review. I am really sceptical about getting any favourable response from them. Please Who else experience a similar issue?

I think that's one issue with shows in an enclosed place, there is only so much that can go one, the same reason I stopped watching Snowpiercer.

But without be told, it's only nuclear war that can make the air contaminated, that one can't walk outside without a suit.

Today isn't the first time I'm watching mystery.

I watched season 1 and was spot on with most of the theories I gave about season 1 here.

But this season 2 is very slow. The first episode was a snorefest. The second better...

But we are 4 episodes in and the series seems to be leading to an obvious point yet it's getting there at snail pace.

If this season is 8 episodes long...ask yourself if what we've been shown so far is really worth half of a season after we waited for season 2

4 episodes into SILO season 2 and the pacing is becoming a serious problem.

I watch an entire episode and it feels like everything that happened could have been done in 10 minutes.

Barely anything is getting revealed. Half the episode is dûmb Silo politics or useless Sheriff investigation that goes nowhere since he can't do anything to Judicial.

I thought the whole Juliet thing would take at most 3-4 episodes before she's back in her former Silo. But now we are at episode 4 and it feels like it will take the entire season before she gets there...

With the way they are slowly setting up things, it feels like Juliette will return at the last minute to stop the Rebellion just when they are about to go outside...

If the season ends like this, it would be a pointless season.

It would be even more pointless if the final mystery of the show is something generic like Humans had a nuclear war and the Silos were created as a result...

Judge Meadows hinted at this when she asked the Bernard what the humans in the past did to "lose all these"

If the show somehow ends with the reveal of a nuclear war, it would mean a collosial waste of time

It means we're not getting any teenage love drama which is what I hate most about Legend Of Korra.

The reason why FMAB worked was because the amputation was seen as a tragedy and the cost of the siblings naive mistakes/sin and something they sought to fix...

Also, one of the major things I didn't like in Korra was the focus on the use of technology. Tech robots and the likes... completely ruined the atmosphere.

If this one is set even in the further future, one can only wonder how more futuristic it would look.

The question then would be what use the Avatar would be in a technologically advanced society when Robots were already strong enough to counter Korra in LOK.

What purpose would the Avatar serve in such a society especially when the Avatar is a 10 years old girl in a futuristic world where her powers have become archaic....

And worse still, the only wisdom she can tap into is that of the worst Avatar in history - Korra

Let's see how the show tackles these...

Or if they'll be more focused on inclusion and rainbow and the message to even bother to write anything tangible.

But most Avatar fans would eat it up even if it's badly written just like Arcane fans did for Arcane season 2. So maybe the writers don't have to worry much...

While the execution from Alex was flawless, the response from the security team is questionable

After identifying that there is a gunman on the boat, if they had sent out all or should I say some of the speed boats and jet ski they had, not sending one by one, that would have thrown Alex off, just as they did when the delivery boat for supplies came.


As a security personnel, part of the job is to take bullet for your client, Oloshi head of security dey tell UDC to stay under water as na fish e dey. Baba dey fear for his life, but as soon as UDC collect bullet, na den Baba remember to dive inside water.

One of the boats came first to scout the suspicious boat.

It was after the confirmation that they sent more boats...but by that time UDC was in the water. The whole thing took about a minute because The Jackal was even counting seconds.

For the security personnel, it's harder than you think.

When there's a sniper shooting from so far out that you can barely see him, unless you're suicidal, you can't just jump in and die for nothing like the previous guard.

I think what the security should have had is a way to deploy a smoke screen. This would have been the most effective way to counter a sniper.

If they had several smoke launchers on ground, they could fire some into the water, but at least before they land, some of the smoke could disperse in the air to block the sniper's vision
