Hello good morning house.
Please I have a little problem that I need help on.
I got an update on my application that I need to upload my old biometrics receipt which I did in 2018 and I have misplaced the receipt.
I have been given 7 days to upload the receipt.
Please is there anything I can do??

Rush back to VFS and make a complain….

I was told if you misplace it, it would cost you around 25k to get it or so…. Just rush back to VFS n see..

I just needed to be sure.

I am not 100% certain, but I think all passports must have at least 6months validity (minimum validity).

I don’t know when my eligibility started but as at April 19 that I checked the tracker for the first time it was already completed and it was only background that was in progress, I got my PPR about an hour ago and background is still in progress, I no no where that one dey progress dey go 😂

I agree with you that fact about situation of a place should be given so as not to mislead people. However, I must tell you this that there are work but only difficult to get because of the cost incurred on the company for LMIA. I believe preparation is key and not being carried away with the fun there. Same was said about no jobs in dubai when i arrived late 2019 but with focus and persistence I got 3 in 6weeks and choose the one better and thats where I applied for Canada and got approved.
Yes ppl who travelled on VV might not be able to come back here to talk because everyone busy... same as we gain admission after jamb group dey quiet na abi no be so?
Are there jobs? YES
Is it easy to get? NO... so prepare your mind.

Now let me tell you of a friend who arrived Canada on VV December, got job February and all his paper and WP just finalised and given early this month. So that's a testimony.

But guys prepare your mind, don't loose guard, it's not time for fun but hustle...after hustle and gotten job then you fit catch fun.

I went to two passport offices (Festac and Alausa) today for passport renewal, but I was turned back.

They all claimed I couldn't start the renewal process now for a passport that will expire in 11 months (the passport will expire on April 17, 2024). I was given October 18, 2023, as the earliest day I could start the renewal process.

I asked them about passport migration. They were just looking at me somehow. But one officer at Alausa said there's nothing called passport migration. He said it's called passport "re-issue". He said passport reissue is different from passport renewal.

He said I can only get my passport reissued if I have used all the pages or I want to do data correction like change of name.

Lol, not everyone is think along that line bro… saying it that way isn’t the best, because I feel people just want to try their luck and I see no reason discouraging them… after all, everybody no carry the same Grace… as for me, am taking my wife on a vacation and I intend coming back after my vacation… ✌🏽peace…

Thank you for the information. I already have vv but wanted to know if the policy is worth pursuing or to continue to sit in the pool.

I applied for this vv in 2020 and was pleasantly surprised to get a passport submission request.

Someone showed me the policy so I am thinking about whether to take advantage of it.

I don’t see a reason not to try it out and see… you never know, it could work out.. I am sure it worked out for some people, u may get lucky…

But the thing is, don’t put all your hopes on it.. you can also do your own research to find out more.. 👍🏽

So why the policy that people on vv can convert their visa status to work permit in Canada if they can't get any job in Canada?
I don't really understand the rationale behind this policy if employers aren't willing to employ people on vv.

It can be done, just that most companies don’t do it… The advice was just to be on d safe side.. Converting is stressful and can take time, but doesn’t mean it can’t be done ✅

Please house.. My brother applied for visit visa in 2020..got married 2021 and baby 2022... Got ppr 2023.

He wants to apply for wife and baby.. But wife's passport still bears her maiden name.. Is it necessary to do a new passport? Or go ahead with old passport.. Still valid for 3 years.

She can go ahead with her old passport as far as you both have a wedding certificate from a reputable marriage institution. My wife used her passport which still carries her maiden name.. we got married in the Catholic Church..

They will definitely send it.. just go n check for flights and accommodations while you wait.. I also suggest making your destination airport Toronto cus it looks like flights going there are cheaper.
