If this story is true, then it means APC is a visionless party that has no direction. I think they ought to be more concern about getting their Presidental candidate first before searching for V.P.. Supposing they pick the V.P before the President, and the President later reject their choice of V.P., so what happen?

Politics › Re: Ezekwesili Replies Sanusi On $45bn Reserves by badesco(m): 5:59pm On Mar 08, 2013
mikeapollo: Dont mind this attention-seeking woman. She was the head of the so-called 'Due Process Office' under Obasanjo when over $16Billion was spent on power projects with nothing to show for it. Some of the money was even paid to fictitious and non-existing companies.

She belongs to the Obasanjo camp....together with Fani-Kayode, Soludo, El-Rufai and Ribadu etc. They are making noise to seek attention because they are no longer favoured by the government.

During the power-probe, she rushed down from US to come and defend Obasanjo.

A few weeks ago, she was at a PDP event to celebrate Obasanjo, and she was eulogising Obasanjo to high heavens, despite all the corruption in his govt.

I am not a fan of GEJ or PDP, but I dont like hypocrites. When they were in govt, they were telling us that all was well....but all of a sudden, they have turned into 'emergency activists' because they are out of favour. HYPOCRITES!

Any good follower of International Economics knows that Nigeria was able to save much because the price of Oil went to as high as $140/barrel during the economic boom of 2003-2007. It is common sense that the external reserves would be negatively affected when the price of oil fell to below $40/barrel for about 2 years.

Ezekwesili will be embarrased if Okonjo-Iweala comes out to debunk her claims.....afterall, Okonjo was the Finance Minister and the person who allegedly helped her to get the WB job, and invariably her senior too

The FG should ignore her. She cant even face Sanusi
It seems you are a GEJ apologist, so am not surprise about your assertion here. this woman has been in the Government before so she knows what she is talking about and if FG does not have any skeleton in its cupboard why dont FG accept her invitation to a public debate.

These days, everyman should know his God for himself and not rely on the church.[/quote]You are all bunch of miscreants, who the hell are you to judge or who made you judge over anybody. It is better you keep that your smelly mouth shut or face the wrath of the Almighty. Your mouth will not kill you. Do you have any proof to buttress your point here, is there any church in Nigeria that you dont have fornicators? Even yourself, are you clean?, abi you be saint or dont fornicate?

Christianity Etc › Re: Give Your 'Tithes' And Offerings To The Less Fortunate In Church by badesco(m): 11:48am On Mar 04, 2013
frosbel: This Sunday in Church , take your 'Tithes' and Offerings to Church.

When the service gets to the Malachi 3 session, look for anyone around you who has real needs, and give your tithes and offerings to them.

Better still ask the ushers or pastors to ask the following people to come forward :

- Mothers who do not know where the next meal for the family will come from
- Fathers who have lost their Jobs
- Widows who have no husbands
- Orphans who have no parents.
- Students who are barely eating talk less of paying school fees
- Those who wear rags or who have no shoes
- the homeless and destitute.

Do not give it to the ushers or take it to the front of the church , give it to these people, these are GOD's children who have real needs, yes, they are the ones who need your money, your spare clothes and shoes, extra cars etc.

I repeat, do not give a dime to your church or pastor and let us see how they will react !!!!
You are quite right but the so call pastors of today will disagree with you completely and if care is not taken they may wage spiritual war against you.

Must Gov, Fashola react to anything that happen in Lagos? This man was the same person chastising the FG for embarking on good governance tour, now it is the okada turn, and this same Gov. Fashola use the Okada Riders for his Electoral Campaign, even many LGAs bought so many Okadas for unemployed youth.

Politics › Re: Ladipo Traders Claim To Lose N100B Daily by badesco(m): 12:32pm On Feb 28, 2013
Slizbeat: I personally felt their pain in this. Was at Ladipo yesterday and saw loads of containers on the streets. Some as far as ilupeju and you know that the trailer drivers can not leave the containers there and drive their trailers home. These same traders that has been chased from work for two days now would have to be paying dumerage(don't know if my spelling is right) for the number of days the trailer would be there pending when the market is finally opened.
Well, I don't know what to say as I too feel pains for them other than to plead with the State govt to act quickly and not allow the issue stay for another two days so these traders could go about their businesses. One thing with container business is that money does not go to the bank. It goes back abroad for more goods and that is why the traders complain of not having money at hand.

What I would personally advice these traders to do is to ask for 6months--1year from the govt to occupy ladipo. During that period, those with enough cash should be able to purchase a land along Lagos-Ibadan expressway or better still move down South-east, build up ware houses while those with less cash should rent them pending when they make enough to build theirs.
By so, they would be free to trade without interruption. Why I put the south-east there was because majority affected are from that region. I know its not easy but they should try cos a journey of a thousand miles starts with a step.

Here is a Quote of what the traders say:

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/02/closed-market-were-losing-n100bn-daily-cry-ladipo-
traders/
This useless analysis can not be right, how on earth would sane person assume that a trader makes around N10 million Naira a day at Ladipo Market. This assertion is unimaginable and could not be true. May be you should have said that an average trader is likely to make like N100k or more...we all know ladipo market and most of us at one time or the other go there to purchase spare parts for our cars. Although i can feel their pains too but whatever is worth doing is worth doing well. They should abide by rules of the game and refrain from infringing on the law at all time.Ladipo Market is dirty and filthy and not conducive for such market, so i support their relocation.
Politics › Re: Lagos Police Spokeswoman Fights Reporter by badesco(m): 12:22pm On Feb 28, 2013
Kamanda:

Only weeks after the Lagos State Police spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, allegedly attempted to stab another female police officer over a parking spot at the Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja, a female journalist said Ms. Braide today in the same premises threatened to fight with her.

The journalist, a PM News reporter who requested anonymity, said she had gone to obtain a comment from Miss Braide on a story she was working on, but said the spokesperson became furious, threatened a fight, and ordered her to leave the office.

According to the journalist, “She became angry and told me that my friends and I are peddling lies that she fought with a CSP in public.  Miss Braide went on to call me all sorts of names and accused me of blackmail. She went on to order me to leave the office but I told her that I will not leave because the Lagos State PPRO's office is a public office and does not belong to her.  At this point she got up from her seat and charged towards me as if she wanted to fight me.  I still stood waiting to see what she will do next. She walked towards me and she said, ‘Take your dirty body out of my office. This is my office.

You and your friends can go on to say all things and blackmail me. I don't care.’  At this point some journalists held her and prevented her from fighting me."

She said she was shocked and dismayed at Ms. Braide’s behavior but was not surprised as the spokesperson has quarreled with other reporters before and even gone as far as threatening a superior police officer with a dagger over a mere parking space at the police headquarters.

“She fought with this female CSP until her breast was exposed,” the reporter said.  “Other policemen had to restrain her that day.  This is something that happened in public and is well known but she is lying, denying that it never happened.”

She said she did not blame Ms. Braide, as the Inspector General of Police and some other journalists were shielding her, giving her the opportunity to continue to misbehave, but expressed the hope that the spokesperson does not one day stab the commissioner or even the IGP.

For herself, she said she would contact her lawyer and then petition the authorities. “This is a threat to my life and defamation of character," she said.
In a previous incident, Ms. Braide was reported to have threatened to stab a senior police officer, identified as Cynthia Ibeama, over the use of a parking spot in the office premises.

Politics › Re: Good Governance Tour Ill-conceived – Fashola by badesco(m): 11:55am On Feb 28, 2013
mikeansy: I think your missing the point. Fashola was touring Lagos to inspect Projects executed by the State Government, Labaran Maku is not inspecting Projects executed by the Federal Government. In fact Labaran Maku does not have the legal right to assess State Governors. He Maku as information Minister has his own responsiblities which has not been fully completed and the last time I checked the remit of his office is not to be an ombudsman for State Governors.

Labaran Maku clearly mis-understands his job description and this is a clear example of a Government that lacks focus.

Its up to the citizens of the individual States to judge their Governors and reflect their will in the next election. If However there is a clear case of corruption by any State Governor then the Governor can be impeached by State House of Assembly or EFCC can move on him. I really dont know where this Good Governance Excersize was plucked from!!!
You must an ACN stalwart. ACN never sees any good in PDP.
