If truly, EKEDC can guarantee minimum of 20hrs supply on band A feeders, then this is good. |

nedu666:The real Band A areas in Abuja are constantly getting up to 22 to 24hrs for the past few days, barring rainfall and other unforseen circumstances, like feeder and breaker issues. The rest of the lower bands are suffering as a result. |

maasoap:The thing is, ever since the increment in tariff for Band A, power has become terrible in my area as we are on band B. AEDC has made band A the only priority. Can you imagine that they even launched a web app where they provide daily updates on the uptime of power for Band A areas? Here's the link https://app.powerbi.com/view?r=eyJrIjoiYzBjMjA4ZmItNDllNC00Njc4LTk1ZTgtNTFhMzQ4ZDY0NjRmIiwidCI6IjUzMjc2MWM4LTYzZDYtNDk5OC1hNTIwLTNmZDYxOGVkNzM0MCIsImMiOjh9 If not for inverter, it would have been nightmarish for some of us. Today, I haven't had a total of up to 5 hours of light, and they probably won't bring the light till tomorrow. It's insane and annoying. |

Useless bastards. So, Band A users are the only people deserving of quality and accurate service? Every other band can go to hell. 4 Likes |

Politics / Re: How Many Units Of Electricity Can 5,000 Naira Buy In Your Area by BadMaster: 3:20pm On Apr 08 |
nedekid:That means you are placed on band A. If you are not getting minimum of 20hrs supply, you have to take it up with your DisCo. If they don't do anything about it, then report NERC |
Politics / Re: How Many Units Of Electricity Can 5,000 Naira Buy In Your Area by BadMaster: 3:06pm On Apr 08 |
SporaD8:This is not true. On AEDC platform, those on band A feeders have been enjoying 24 hrs supply since the announcement of the new tariff regime. The downside is that, those on Band B and lower bands have not been getting the minimum hours of supply they're supposed to be getting. |

descarado:I just noticed that my estate has been downgraded to band B today. It was still on band A as at yesterday. Even some areas that are enjoying power virtually 24hrs have been downgraded to band B, maybe erroneously. They're probably doing some sorting. oluwaseyi0:That is where the fraud is. Not all customers placed on band A are getting up to 12 hours of power per day. It simply means you are charged at a premium rate, but not giving same value. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: NERC Fines AEDC ₦200 Million For Violation Of The New Tariff by BadMaster: 5:19pm On Apr 05 |
My estate is supposedly on Band A, but we experience nothing close to 12 hours of light per day, yet we are on same tariff with places like Maitama, Asokoro, Wuse 2, Games village that experience virtually 24hrs of power. The 200 naira million fine is too small. AEDC has been using this scam to defraud customers for a long time. |

Politics / Re: Are You Willing To Pay N178,000 Monthly For A 24-hour Electricity Supply? by BadMaster: 10:57pm On Apr 03 |
hazureal:This band ish is a scam the discos use in overcharging their customers. Let me explain. For instance, in Abuja, Area 1 to Area 11, and from Wuse Zone 1 to Zone 7, from Galadimawa to Apo and surrounding areas are all supposedly on Band A, but these areas I mentioned, some of them don't see up to 3 hours of light most days. Now, can you imagine that elite areas like Maitama, Asokoro, Wuse 2, Aso drive are also on same Band A, but they experience more than 20hrs of light per day. The whole band of a thing is a scam. If they go ahead and implement the proposed tariff, it would only make customers to bypass their meter. 2 Likes |

georgee:Most likely a power surge issue and has damaged the router. I have experienced same, and Starlink sent a replacement for free. They have data that would show them what happened to the router, just open a support ticket and they will send a replacement. If you do find a solution to the damaged one, kindly share with us, as I also have one lying around. |

Have you heard of the saying by Kano people "Kano Ta dabo Cigari, Kano tumbin giwa, Ko dame kazo an fika." Basically, what it means is that there's nothing you won't find in Kano. No matter what you bring to Kano, you will find that there's someone has it more than you. It's an old saying by Kano people. 1 Like |

Franklyspeakin:Tinubu needs Northern support in order to win re-election. If you're thinking of rigging election in the north, then forget it. Once he loses Northern support, he can't rig in the north. You can only rig or write numbers where you are popular. El-rufai was one of the fiercest supporters of Tinubu during the electioneering period. But after elections, Tinubu abandoned him. The least he should have been given is a minister. Before you call me ipob and sorts, go and check my previous posts, before and during the election period. 22 Likes 4 Shares |

QuoteJust1nce:Do refrain from making blanket statements when you don't have all the facts. Just because Starlink made certain data available to us does not mean it's all there is to it. Telling the complainant that there's no need physically checking the cable is unnecessary. Starlink recently informed me that my 75ft cable is faulty, and have sent a replacement, which is in transit. Yet my "Cable ping drop rate" is always at 0%. So, how do you explain that? Starlink has an advanced system where they see issues around their kits. Just because we possess some knowledge about Starlink or some data is made available to us doesn't mean we should arrogate ourselves to Starlink. 2 Likes |
