Once u pay 30k for the purchase of the router, 1 month speed based plan comes with it.

So u don't pay sub fees after paying 30k ... i hope that's clear enough?
Thanks. One more question. Are you the one to choose the speed based plan to be activated the first time?

Its 5G router plan.

You pay 30k, airtel give us a 5G router with 2 options of either speed based or data based plan.

The data based plan is about 20k for 240gb for 30 days

The other option is speed based plans:

20mbps for 20k monthly
40mbps for 35k monthly
60mbps for 50k monthly

Na the 20mbps plan i opted for and i've been using it since December 2023 ....

Bretheren, the speed based plan no dey finish ....

Find below the screenshot of the router and also, my usage for February ... check the date and time for the screenshot on my laptop
If I understand your explanation correctly, at the point of registering for the service, one is expected to pay 30k for the router and additional payment for the specific plan you want? Or you only need to pay for the router at first purchase?

I am asking because you also mentioned that first month subscription is free, so I am a bit confused.

We have never had a government more useless than this one. To even imagine I was one of those who supported it initially, it gets me very annoyed whenever I remember.

Hello Guys,

For two weeks now I have been trying to renew my starlink monthly subscription but to no avail. I have tried my naira master card and dollar visa card yet none seems to be working.

Is anyone else facing thesame challenge?
Providus MasterCard works fine. GT bank Naira MasterCard that has always worked for me doesn't work anymore.

100k for 1 terabyte. It will last more than a year or you roll over
It depends on the users. I use more than that in two months. I don't download or play online games, strictly streaming of Netflix, Prime, IPTV and other streaming services.

That would be around 70k monthy
This would have been a good time to pay for several months ahead, but Starlink only supports monthly subscription.

Indeed, I just confirmed it. It's only a matter of time before they also increase monthly subscription fees.

I have a question: I currently use Starlink in Awka and am planning to move to Lagos. Will my Starlink service still work if I take it with me to Lagos?
Most of Lagos, if not all, is at full capacity at the moment, so you may have to switch to regional-mobile plan when you get there.

I just confirmed that GT bank Naira MasterCard doesn't work for Starlink payment anymore, but I was able to pay with Providus Naira MasterCard.

So, I have been using Starlink since February last year, and it was excellent. I use to get speeds up to 300Mbps+. After moving to a new location, I observed that my speed really tanked. In fact, I have not seen 200Mbps. Initially, I thought my dishy or cable was faulty, so I asked Starlink support to carry out checks on my kits for confirmation. Starlink support reverted back to me after thorough checks(according to them), informing me that my dishy and cable are in excellent conditions, however, I am experiencing extremely high level interferance. They then asked me to capture my installation and my immediate surrounding. I did as advised.

The thing is, I live directly under a large mast/base station. According to Starlink, the base station is the culprit, and there's little to nothing I can do to improve Starlink service. Though I could try to move the dishy around my roof, but given the proximity, it would probably not change anything.

This is for your information only. In case anyone is experiencing similar challenges.
Update:
Something I forgot to add previously. Aside informing me that my Starlink dishy was experiencing high interference, they also informed me that checks show that there's something wrong with my router configuration (I don't know what this means), indicating that my router and ethernet adapter are needing replacement. So they sent a replacement router and ethernet adapter. However, according to Starlink support, it would not resolve the interference I am experiencing.

Today, I took delivery of the replacement router and ethernet adapter.

Starlink's service delivery can't be compared with our service providers here in Nigeria. If there's an issue with your kit, they will be honest about it, and if need be, replacements would sent, for free.

If you are experiencing challenges and you have done all else to resolve it, feel free to ask them to carry out checks on your kits.

Correct this is good. That means residential is even better. Love this
From my personal experience, in Nigeria, residential or Standard plan as it's now called, enjoy the same or similar speed as Roam or Mobile-regional as it's now called. Standard plan subscribers do not enjoy priority over Mobile-regional subscribers in Nigeria.

Results vary as they connect to various networks when online.
For better speed accuracy, use Speedtest.net app or website. You may also use fast.com.

I hope you have splitted the Wifi channels, that is 5Ghz and 2.4Gh.

Who buys battery and keep?
Ba3 should be the last in case your plans didn't work out as proposed, you can easily sell the solar panels and inverter
I think the poster meant to say, one should buy a hybrid inverter first, then batteries. That way, you can use the grid to be charging your batteries. Then, when you have enough money, buy solar panels too.

I use a 3.5kva in my office with 4 tubular batteries I notice that it works better when charged with electricity due to the load in my officr when the weather is fair then then am sure the batteries will last between 9am to about 4.30pm before we switch to generator however when there is electricity for few hours then we wnt have need for a generator
What appliances do you use with the inverter?

I use to take this man seriously until earlier this week, when he said some repentant Boko haram members were released because they swore by the Qur'an that they would never return to their old ways. What a joke. Even as a Muslim myself, that's the most ridiculous thing I have heard this year.
