I tried earnestly to ponder on this topic by assessing what the president has achieved since he got into power. Honestly, I spoke in support of Tinubu prior to him been elected as president because I had the convictions that time he will be the one to bring the transformation Nigeria needs. However, it seems the president is derailing gradually and things are getting worse on a daily basis. The president has failed to bring to an end insecurities in the country, no assurance the power sector will be rejig, poverty is on the high side, rate of kidnappings on the rise, inflation on the rise, cost of living beyond reach. The only achievement I can attribute to this administration for now is the loan extended to students and some federal roads constructed. Do we deserve a situation where interrupted power is not guaranteed, where we cannot sleep with our two eyes closed, where we cannot afford 3 square meal in a day, where getting jobs is by connections and political affiliations? I don't think the President know what people are actually passing through in Nigeria now? He presented himself as the hope to the common man to bring positive change to Nigeria but the hope is fading with the speed of light. Dear President, what will you like people to remember you for after leaving office? Time is ticking and people are getting impatient. Bring a lasting change to the power sector, empower the less privilege, strengthen the anti-corruption unit, put eagle on State governors( some of them are doing nothing other than convert part of allocations to dollar), Nigeria needs strong institutions to make people( starting from you) compliant to rules etc. The greatest achievement or legacy you can leave is to return the country to regionalism to guarantee lasting solution to insecurity and each region will develop at their own pace. |
Hemanwel:I'm sorry to ask you this. Did anyone stopped you from presenting yourself as a candidate or sponsor yourself for political office in Nigeria? You can't continue to rant because someone has much interest in politics. It is left for the masses to either accept or deny the candidate during elections. Everyone has equal right to vote and be voted for. |
BeginsAtHome:When Obi defected from APGA to PDP and later LP, did you call him opportunist? Leave people to make their choice, it shouldn't be your headache. |
How much is the wife also earning? People fail to understand that life has two sides. You should not look down on people earning meagre salary because some are not lucky to be on the good side of life. Some children are better positioned today because they were born into a rich home while some found themselves born into poverty. You need a lot of calculations, luck, selflessness, connection and God grace to bring your family out of poverty. No one is happy to be living in poverty, it's what life presents to them. |
Klington:Stop defending rubbish. Is he the only one not taken care of by the govt? Double their salary today, who go thief go thief. No be every time you go deh blame govt for the attrocities of citizens. |
You have a problem if you are fighting your fellow human because of politicians in Nigeria. These people only protect their interest and use the people as a shield for their political fight. |
F117nighthawk:If na you, na your enemy you go make the Senate President? Dey play |
If not that the govt is treating this issue of insecurity with high level of unseriousness, these Kidnappers should have been smoked out a long time ago. How could a whole president watch his country descend to this level and not rejig the security apparatus. This is a serious dent to this administration and I wonder why Tinubu is not being decisive. What happens to the budget on security that states like Benue, Plateau, Ekiti and Kwara known for high rate of kidnappings cannot enjoy high level of security Intels and robust security formations. If you fail to protect your citizens, it means you don't have any business being the President of the country. You have let the people down and reneged on your electoral promises. |
Racoon:What do you expect him to say? Despite several interventions from world bank, did the previous administration starting from Obasanjo revamp the power sector? He needs to open up on the challenges they are facing and how World bank can assist to find a lasting solution to the issue. |
Septigen:Who is talking about Tinubu here? Make una deh use your sense to comment now. NBA is being dragged for illegally receiving funds from the govt which is against their ethics and you're here spilling rubbish about Tinubu. Some of you are just hypocrites who doesn't have convictions. How's the NBA different from govt officials stealing public funds? Was there any appropriation for the N300m received from the River State govt? |
You igbos should be ashamed of atrocities committed by your people outside the country. Possibility is that for every 10 igbo men you see balling, 8 are into drug trafficking. The problem they have is that they don't care about protecting their name, so to them any way na way, money na water people but they are into drug trafficking. |
Your argument is watery. As long as the money came from the coffers of the govt, you have no basis not to return it. You people are part of those giving bad names to the legal profession. You accused govt of corruption while you're also eating from the same govt. I guess you people have shared the money among your executive and now finding it difficult to retrieve it from them. You're not ashamed of the office you're holding that's why you're trying to justify your actions. Dem supposed use EFCC to carry you for aiding and abating corruption. |
spiSeyi:You need mental reassessment. Sebi you have that freedom now saying what you like on social media, that military take-over you clamour for will consume you except you're not residing in Nigeria. So IBB and Abacha are now your role model, you are finished. |
Dpaulie:No, it's a summon to a suspended governor. |
Kaycee9242:Now you think SOE is uncalled for abi? Have you people not been calling for military takeover in Nigeria because your Messiah did not win the election? Why are you people not happy with quasi-military rule in Rivers State? |
crossfm:Are you the one putting food on the table for Fagbemi? So you don't know the AGF by virtue of his position will be the first in line to defend actions of the government in the law court. He is also in a position to give legal advice to the govt in a way to avoid infractions on the side of the law. Why are you people always quick to castigate someone if he decides to serve the country through appointment? |
If truly Ndume has not initiated a single project in his constituency or Borno State, then he's a big fool coming on TV to castigate others. |
PresidObi:What is good there? Is it to satisfy your ego or you have something you're benefiting from them? |
But our people from the other side said na Tinubu deh sponsor Apapa, later they said na Tinubu deh sponsor Abure, they are unpredictable, always blaming someone for their errors. People that can't put their small party together and fix their issue, how would they fix the country that has numerous challenges. The country go just crash on them and military will have reasons to take over. |
You can see that Fubara is now being shown how politics is played. His immaturity and impatience has led him to oblivion. I doubt if he can be returned except there's miracle. Wike would not have succeeded in this game had it been he was not appointed FCT minister with federal backing. Fubara would have chased him out of Port Harcourt. Fubara also picked his fight too early, he's an ungrateful lad. |
Tochi3:All you can say is snatch and grab. Was he the president when the election was conducted to the extent of him having influence to rig elections despite all odds against him. Some of you think Nigeria is a country that can easily be governed. As long as we are divided along ethnic lines, security is not guaranteed. As at today, I have not seen that politician that can bring a lasting solution to insecurity in Nigeria, take it or leave it. |
The new GCEO has not even settled down, Una don begin write useless letters. Most of them are only fighting for their pockets and not the progress of the organisation |
Basicend:Make you na deh use sense na. Is the office of Emir recognised under the constitution? You said ordinary IGP? Make you no get problem weh never say na ordinary DPO go treat your Bleep up. Do you know what it takes to reach the position of IGP, a position recognised by the constitution with powers. |
specialmati:So that your Messiah can get to power through backdoor? You be mumu. If he can't do aggressive campaign in all the four corners of the country and sell himself, he will continue to fail. Tell him to go to the core north and sell his candidacy without which all his efforts will yield nothing. |
SpiritMoney:Keep deceiving yourself. So if dem use part of Rivers allocation to fund this trip, will they tell you? They will just put it under one expense head not relevant to the trip. However, I'm not in support of using public funds to support nonsense, the two sides( Wike and Fubara) are both corrupt and no sensible person should support either sides. |
How many Yoruba's did Emefiele give appointment when he was the CBN governor? He filled most of the strategic positions in CBN with his southeast people which you can see and Yoruba's never complain. Now that changes are required, why are they crying foul? |
Since the former Chief of Army Staff(Lagbaja) died, insecurities has gained momentum again. That man is a no nonsense officer. The current CAS seems too lukewarm and needs to up his game. He should complement his height with actions and decisiveness. The government is too soft on kidnappers. They need to be killing them once captured. |
Thundafireseun:I'm a Yoruba but what message are you trying to pass gangan. Instead of you to condemn the rubbish the guy did on the bridge, you're talking nonsense. Some of you want dramatic change in the country but are not ready to face the consequence of the change. Who in his right sense should be defecating openly on top of a bridge if not an animal? |
Penguin2:So did Akpabio resign? All these her shouting up and down is just an exercise in futility as long as she can't produce a single evidence to support her claim. |
The unfortunate ones used their senseless brain to shorten this woman's tenure as CP in Edo State. |
