People that work hard for their money don't squander it, it's people that loot public fund or enrich themselves from other people's sweat that can afford to lavish it anyhow.
So are you telling us Obi never stole a dime from Anambra govt fund while he was the governor? Can Obi swear with his life that he never took from the security votes allocated to him when he was the governor of Anambra. Please stop defending Nigerian politicians, they are all the same.

Sometimes I wonder how BAT became the president.
Because he's a strategic thinker and never afraid of competition. If you cannot convince party delegates and let them see reason why you're a better fit, then you're a mis-fit politician. Politics is completely different from administrative functions in office, you must be smart, rugged, bold and focused.

vanbonattel:
Good question, but Peter Obi didn't make this comment, the spokesman who made the comment never mentioned he was speaking on behalf of Peter Obi. But we understand that the paper will sell faster as soon as you say Peter Obi said it. The man is a phenomenon that can increase the force of every business, even dying Nigeria would have received life if Peter Obi was sworn in.

I have never seen such a man as PeterObi, everything he touches turn to gold, and miscreants will rush in the scramble for the crumbs, even taking sides with Apapa and abure to see how to cause mayhem so that Peter Obi won't come out from the party.

It's the loss of the whole Nigeria, not for Peter who is already made foe life.
Everything you wrote here is trash. Obi may be popular in a particular region of the country but his lackadaisical attitude and I don't care body language shows he lacks human management skills. I mean, why is it that he could not take charge of the party being the party presidential candidate and a former governor? A party is crumbling and undergoing crisis and he could not take a stand and show party members that he's in control? Please be sincere to yourself, do you think Obi has the courage, confidence and wherewithal to preside over Nigeria, a country polarized with religion, tribal and ethnic challenges? Obi had better thanked his star that he's not the one in power cos I'm sure he would have been overwhelmed with the challenges in this country and may be forced out of power.

Tinubu has nothing meaningful to contribute. He is a failure and it's obvious. He now wants to arrest those criticizing his government, to scare people from more criticism.

These are strategies of a failure... Tinubu will soon learn the hard way... I expect NLC to declare strike action midnight and by tomorrow, a loud protest follows to unsit Tinubu.

We must act fast and now... Military guys are ready to take over.
So military will do magic and turn around the economy abi?. How many people have Tinubu jailed for criticizing his govt? You think you can have leeway to criticize a military dictator on social media the way you're doing to a democratic govt even though they are not living up to people's expectations? Do you think your freedom is guaranteed if you criticize even a military administrator in your state? A beg, continue to criticize a democratic govt and put them on their toes instead of calling for military take over. What impact have the ones weh took over in Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso brought to their respective countries?

Why should Dangote refinery be trying to force NNPC to be the sole buyer.

If Kenya wants to buy from Dangote, will the refinery refuse to sell to Kenya unless Kenyan government agrees to be the sole buyer of all petrol that the refinery produces for ever?

What kind of thing is this.

NNPC is also right to say it will not buy from the refinery if it can buy cheaper abroad.

Why should we pay more to buy petrol from a Nigerian producer if we can import it cheaper.

All of this despite the fact we are even selling crude to him in naira.
Don't you think importing petrol will continue to put pressure on the naira? This Nigeria issue gets as e be oo. I don tire.

Quest7777:
Forget the epistle.
The combined ineptitude of Buhari and Tinubu is what is responsible for our present predicament.
And Nigerians are being made to pay the price through suffering and hardship.

Because of his selfish emilokan ambition, Tinubu packaged an incompetent Buhari for Nigerians and watched him crumble the Economy for 4years +another 4years, so that he would take his turn to rule.

Unfortunately, the damage Buhari did, is almost beyond repair and not something that can be remedied soon, definitely not by somebody like Tinubu.
Instead of you to counter his submission and observations, you're saying rubbish that cannot contribute to a body of knowledge. If you were the president, will you continue to pay subsidy so the economy can crumble? Is defending the naira sustainable in the long-run?

How I wish Tinubu can address the challenges of this country and write his name in gold. He has the political will to rejig this country and put this country on the path of greatness but getting this done is not an easy thing. The corruption level from the grassroot to the top echelon in government is beyond redemption. As long as we have a weak system that cannot jail corrupt officials and individuals but give them leeway, the country cannot progress.

The worst that happened to me is being a Nigerian. It's not easy having the most uselèss president on earth and sharing a country with his bràinless supporters. No punishment is greater than this.

Apart from apprehending the Bishop, alot of immigration officers need to be apprehended too.

I took my wife and 3 kids to their office today being our appointment day for biometrics but they refused to attend to us because I didn't give them 20k (5k per person) as processing fee. I asked what the 20k is for and the officers were telling me about diesel and stationeries. Thereafter I called the line on their website and they promised to do something about it and that I should return there tomorrow assuring me that I won't pay any processing fee. I might create a scene there tomorrow if they insist on that 20k thing.

The apprehender needs to be apprehended too.
Things like this ought to be shared on Twitter and Facebook make the Minister of interior deh aware. Please the the immigration office address so other people that have also been defrauded of this illegal sum can speak out to buttress your point.

If the military ordered shoot on sight for everyone committing atrocities, the same you will complain of genocide. These monsters were created by the northerners for political reasons and it has gone out of hand. Don't deceive yourself, if Atiku or Obi were to be the president, they will face the same insecurities if not worse. The fact is Nigeria is gone and normalcy can only be returned temporarily when the country is divided and every region go their separate ways.
