How was he kidnapped in his residence? Where was the security personnel detailed to him? We're they overpowered or what? |
People should use their brain. There could be foreign powers who are behind these guys and financing their activities. Why are they now more emboldened and more visible now that Trump threaten to strike. America itself could be behind all these and looking for opportunity to wrest power from Tinubu who seems not to be dancing to their demand. I'm even suspecting they may be behind the coup saga and because the coup failed, they are now using insecurity to threaten Nigeria government, I may be wrong but something is definitely wrong somewhere. |
Imagine someone sitting in the corner of his room and peddling false allegation on their fellow Nigerians. Why will you lie against him if he never such a thing? Unfortunately, some unfortunate people full of hate will believe the news just because they don't like Akpabio. Sense is far from some people walahi |
If Trump eventually rescind his decision and take no further action, you will see how some hate filled region will begin to curse trump and call him all sorts of names. There are three sides to this Trump would-be intervention. A particular side is rejoicing because their Messiah is not the one rulling and are looking for every opportunity to bring down this govt, to them if they can't have it, southwest should not have it. Another side is the side profiteering from the insurgency in their region, hence they have soft spot for those causing havoc to their people and region because they share the same religion. The third side is the one fighting tooth and nail because the president is from their region and would not want power to slip away from their hand whether he performs or not. However the fact remains that Nigeria is battling serious security issues which I think has overwhelmed the government. If there's sincerity from Donald Trump, their intervention is needed in collaboration with Nigeria Military to root out these useless jihadist. |
Mistersolar:This thread is about Guinea Bissau, so why are you bringing Tinubu into it? Maybe you should go and plot another one, just know that if you're unsuccessful, kiss your freedom bye for the rest of your life. |
Borrow2222:What has he said to categorize him as a thug? Some of you just need to use your brain before spewing rubbish. The fact that you hate a government doesn't mean you should be looking for every opportunity to bring it down even if there are noticeable achievements. This insecurity did not start with this govt and what is the probability that any incoming administration will subdue it. African countries ruled by military governments are also battling insurgency and no solution in sight. No one is defending this govt but if your wish is that America should come and forcefully install their puppet, it may not work. Imagine someone saying Tinubu is suppressing the opposition, is Tinubu threatening opposition governors for decamping to APC? Is it the opposition parties that can't get their house in order that wants to defeat the incumbent? And for Tinubu, it's quiet unfortunate insecurity is getting out of hand, one cannot travel from one state to another without the fear of being kidnapped, this is a serious failure on your part and it is better you redeem the image of your govt as things are not looking good at all. |
I love his gut honestly. If Nigerian leaders had since independence sacrificed to develop the country and stop corrupt practices, no one would be so eager to visit the advanced countries except to go on vacation and for tourism. Imagine we now see visa as a jackpot and something worth to be thanking God for and sharing testimony because of the failure of our leaders to develop our country. |
Especially that Ekiti state governor, he fits praise Tinubu for dream. |
SmartPolician:Please don't discourage people to apply for this. Did any student need to have connection before they can access the student loan granted to them? Many students that are from less privileged homes have benefited from the student loan without connection. Fine, there could be some political influence, however some without connection will still get it. Let them try their luck. |
To be sincere, Nigeria is not a safe country it used to be but I see the recent onslaught of media attack against Nigeria especially from the US having a political undertone aimed at destabilising the country. Why the sudden interest of US in Nigeria's politics? Is it not this same US that refused to support Jonathan to combat insecurity and allowed Buhari to have edge? |
A security chief is missing in that photo. Seems the Chief of Army staff is missing. |
Lamba from Baba again. Baba weh deh look for someone who is weak and can easily be controlled and Yaradua was a perfect fit for that hence he settled for him. Baba no say El-rufai can't be controlled like that, reason why he did not back him. |
The loss of General Lagbaja is a big loss to Nigeria. To be sincere, General Oluyede need to step up his game and ensure insecurity is nip in the bud. |
That is why as a president, never entrust key military formations in the hand of those not from your region. One region is impatient and wants power to return to them as soon as possible, another region because of their hate are doing everything possible to make sure the country burns so that power will leave the southwest. |
FarahAideed:When govt attacks them, no be the same amnesty international go deh shout up and down say govt deh eliminate innocent people and you'll keep wondering which side dem deh sef. |
Me sha want to see the two best midfielders with highest degree of humility, the likes of Iniesta and Xavi. |
When we tell them say there's no difference between the government and the people they govern, dem think say we deh yearn trash. An average Nigerian including the so called men of God are not sincere and will always look for opportunity to cut corners. Their eyeball go deh rotate anyhow when they see money. They are quick to blame the govt whereas they are guilty of the same offence, Nigerians are irredeemable, only small percentage are incorruptible. |
Imagine the write-up. Is the writer trying to justify the actions of the officers under investigation? A particular region don't care if the country burns as long as power leaves southwest. Unfortunate ones who wants power to be given to them on a platter of gold without fighting for it. I don't know why their heart is full of hate for the southwest. Na so dem do when they encouraged IBB to deny MKO of his mandate. Tinubu is there now and they are looking for every means to overthrow his govt. You can see the reason why as a president, never entrust key security formations in the hand of those not from your region. If you don't like Tinubu, wait till 2027 and face him at the ballot instead of looking for backdoor to hijack power. |
When you see them fighting, na because of money. Greedy set of people who also steal public funds and pretend as if they are saints. |
And you will see them blaming the govt every time. No difference between those in power and the people. |
She made her choice and she should face whatever comes out of it. Because of wealth, you settled for a man old enough to be your father who also has insatiable lust for women. Your eyes never see anything infact you've just started. That man is already tired of your body and now looks disgusting to him. |
When Buhari was damaging the country, the northern part of the country looked away and kept mute cos they were enjoying the movie, now that Tinubu is winning over opposition, the likes of El-Rufai and Atiku will be praying that the military should strike because they know that their chances keeps dwindling everyday. That is why as a president you should never entrust key sensitive military formations in the hands of those not from your region. I also know a particular section of the country is also praying for military takeover, they believe if they cant have it, then southwest should not have it, that was why they thwarted the ambition of MKO and supported the military government not to handover power to Abiola. I'm not in total support of Asiwaju but you cant take the backdoor to seize over power from the southwest, it will definitely backfire and the protest that will follow may be difficult to bring under control. They have seen it is practically impossible to stop him through the ballot and now trying to use the military to usurp his government. The northerners better be patient until 2031 when it will be their turn instead of looking for short cut to take over power. |
favour32:If he calls Makinde a kid, is that a threat to Makinde's life cos I don't understand. Imagine the insult Tinubu gets daily and never thought of using his office to deal with those behind it. |
Racoon:How is he responsible? So the football governing body in his country cannot explain the rules to him except to show how shallow he is? And for some of you always trying to denigrate your own country, you get serious problem ooo. |
Moreze:You'll love him now because he deh your camp. If na opposition governor make this careless statement, you would have called him out and dragged him. Governor weh be say he go deh powerless on the day of the election na him deh talk say make some people go write their will? Does he have control over the security apparatus? |
These people go just deh give name to these terrorists as dem like. |
They don't want the bobby of their women to be jumping up and down during the Marathon. |
This is a platform where public opinion about this administration can be gauged, however people are not paying attention to it. For me, Firstly I will rate this administration 40/100 because of the following reasons. Insecurity is getting worse everyday Failure to rejig and end epileptic power supply. How do you drive economic growth without stable electricity? Almost 70% of the population have been thrown into abject poverty Unemployment is on the high side Failure on his part to ensure full autonomy for the local govts. Why are they still not getting their allocations directly? He should always think twice and do basic verification before making some decisions. How do you explain the president pardoning drug convicts, kidnappers, and people convicted of corruption. some of these decisions are weird and I cannot come to terms with it. Lastly, he should ensure proper funding and invest heavily in health and education sector. What's the need for political office holders going abroad for treatment if the health sector is okay and hospitals have world class equipment to work with? |
Racoon:If dem no list am for sale you people go complain, now it has been listed for sale you're still complaining, who do you people like this? |
