Goodevening everyone. It's been a while. As I was going tru d sports news this evening- the olympic team(u-23) been tutored by coach siasia caught my attention. I learnt from goal.com that d team have been paired in group B wit Ghana, Egypt n alongside wit another african nation for this year's AAG to be hosted in Congo. I became confused when it came to my notice that we will be playing Congo for olympic qualifier. Can anyone explain this-i mean d relationship between AAG n olympic qualifiers cos, me no understand d way african football is been played ooo. Can't wait for this thread to start bubbling. AAG is another tournament on its own. We qualified for it when we defeated zambia in lusaka with a 2-1 scoreline after a goalless draw in Abuja.The tournament winner won't qualifier for the olympics.
The olympics team will be the 4 best team from this year's 2015 CAF U23 championship which Senegal will host. We have to beat Congo to qualify for the caf cup. Remember 4 best teams 4rm caf U17 went for Fifa U17 and also 4 best teams 4rm caf U20 went for Fifa U20.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission has charged five directors of the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs with offences of defrauding the ministry to the tune of N605m between July 2013 and October 2014.
The anti-graft agency filed 46 counts of fraud against the accused persons before Justice Husseini Baba of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja on July 7, 2015.
The accused persons, who were at various times Directors of Finance and Deputy Directors of Finance in the Niger Delta Ministry, allegedly siphoned the money from the Constituency Project account of the ministry under fraudulent claims.
They are Yusuf Agabi (Director of Finance and Account), Akpore Okeroghene (Deputy Director of Finance), Abibu Ayinla (Director of Finance), Idowu Adewale (Deputy Director Accounts) and Ngozi James (Deputy Director Accounts).
The ICPC’s Chief Legal Officer, Paul Ahmed, who signed the charges, alleged that the accused persons fraudulently withdrew the total sum of N605m from the Constituency Project Account of the ministry without authorisation.
The prosecution alleged that the accused persons perpetrated the fraud using fictitious claims through payment vouchers containing false information.
Some of them were said to have used the proceeds to build private houses.
Justice Baba has fixed September 16 for the arraignment of the accused persons.
Some of the counts read, “That you Ayinla Abibu (m) in the month of March 2013 or thereabouts, at Abuja, being a public officer to wit: Director of Finance at the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, did receive for yourself through a Zeocat Nig Ltd., the sum of N60m belonging to the Federal Government of Nigeria, knowing same to have been obtained fraudulently from the account of the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs which you used to build a house at Ogbomoso, Oyo State, for yourself and you thereby committed an offence contrary to section 13 and punishable under section 68 of the Corrupt Practices Act 2000.
“That you Yusuf Mohammed Agabi, Akpore Okeroghene, Idowu Anthony Adewale and Ntu James Ngozi, between the months of January 2013 and December 2013, at Abuja being agents of the Federal Government did engage in a criminal conspiracy to present documents to your principal which were defective in material particular and designed to mislead for the purposes of fraudulently obtaining various sums of money from your principal thereby committing an offence contrary to section 26(1)(c)and punishable under section 17(1)(c)of the Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Act, 2000.”

The National Population Commission has hinted that the conduct of the population census and head count for all Nigerians scheduled for 2016 would depend on the willingness of Nigerians and the Federal Government because of poor budgetary allocation.
The commission also called for a review of The National Policy on Population to accommodate current realities “in view of recent changes in the demographic profile of the country.”
NPC said, “The review is to assess the performance of the programmes outlined in the policy and also to respond to emerging national and international issues in population and development. We are currently leading the review process”.
The Chairman of the NPC, Chief Eze DuruIheoma (SAN), expressed these views on Thursday in Abuja during a press briefing in commemoration of the 2015 World Population Day, with the theme, “Vulnerable population in emergencies.”
According to him, if indeed Nigerians want the conduct of 2016 national census, they must demand for it, just like they did during the recently concluded general elections.
The PUNCH recalls that a former chairman of NPC, Chief Festus Odumegwu, was removed in 2013 by former President Goodluck Jonathan, following comments credited to him that previous national censuses figures were inflated to favour the northern parts of the country.
He had said that over N200bn would be required to carry out the census exercise that would be universally acceptable to correct the mistakes of the past.
But DuruIheoma, who recently complained of poor budgetary allocation, said the fate of the conduct of 2016 census rests solely on Nigerians and the Federal Government that should provide the needed funds for the exercise.
He said, “I want to remind us that censuses are supposed to be held between five and 10 years after the previous one. Now, the previous census in Nigeria took place in 2006. A maximum of 10 years will take us to 2016. That is why we are sticking to the 2016 date. That is when the next census is due in this country.
“Population census is an exercise that involves Nigerians. Look at the way Nigerians reacted to the last (2015) election. They demanded that they wanted it; the next thing after the elections ought to be the national census. We want it to be in the consciousness of Nigerians. The last one took place in 2006. Ten years after, we want to know how many we are.
“Our duty here in the NPC is to help Nigerians realise this goal. We are ready to heed the call of Nigerians. Whatever they want us to do, we will carry out their wish. If they want us to carry out the exercise, we will.”
The NPC boss while decrying the pitiable conditions of Internally-Displaced Persons, called on Nigerians and relevant agencies of government to protect the rights of victims of insurgency in the North-East.

The Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, on Thursday said the Boko Haram insurgency had worsened under President Muhammadu Buhari.
Ekweremadu said the former President Goodluck Jonathan administration had almost rolled back Boko Haram and its activities in the North-East.
The deputy senate president also expressed the fear the insurgents could also attack Abuja and the southern part of the country soon.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja, he chose not to answer questions on his alleged involvement in the forgery of senate rules but said he had been worried about the renewed attacks by Boko Haram.
He said, “I am worried about the resurgence of Boko Haram activities in Nigeria. Shortly before the inauguration of the present government, the country had almost rolled back Boko Haram and its activities in every part of Nigeria – from Adamawa to Borno to Yobe.
“I was hoping that when we come back in the 8th Assembly, that I will work with our colleagues from the North-East to develop a plan of action that will help to rehabilitate that part of Nigeria. I feel so concerned about the suffering of our people from the North-East of Nigeria.
“I had hoped that by now we would be tasking ourselves on how best to rebuild that part of Nigeria. Regrettably the actions of Boko Haram seem to have resurfaced now; not only in Borno, they have carried out their activities also in Plateau, they have gone to Adamawa and Kaduna.
“I am worried that if nothing is done, the next target would be Abuja. Maybe they will start going to the South. It is important for us as those in government, whether executive or legislature, to come together to find solutions to these problems.”

Is best chance was at MITB and he blew it. Lesnar will hold it for some months if he should win it at Battleground and Sheamus fails to cash in. Cesaro is not suppose to be a midcard wrestle, just batting for the tag team title. They should move him up with the big boys in the industry and let him battle for the world tittle too.
I see no reason why Cesaro can't wrestle for the title shot when a guy like Dean Ambrose is fighting for it, guys like ziggler, seth rollins have won it even though na with their MITB. Daniel Bryan is also a former champion, I see no reason why Cesaro can't hold the title

That was my match of the Money in the bank. I lost interest in MITB when Sheamus got the briefcase but thanks to Cena and Owens for their fight.
