Again, I ask: what is special about Germany? Are they better than Argentina? Would they have qualified in Ghana's group? Cmon, give me the best and let's see how it pans out.
Are they better than Argentina? YES YES and YES.
this argentina team is shitty, tehy are very poor and you can 't compare them with germany. Who ever we meet in the round of 16 should be ready for sweet bashing from our boys

The way things are going we could qualify even before we kick a ball. If Senegal or New Zealand fail to win, we could lose our next match and still go through. What a weird game we'd have if Hungary also wants to avoid Germany.
I thing I am 100% sure of is that we can't and we won't lose against hungary. I will love it if we can avoid germany now but one thing is sure our boys will go for the kill against those hungry boys from Hungary.

Useless argentina out!!!!!!!!! This is the weakest argentine U20 team I have seen. Very weak team.

How come they won th south america championship.

I will really love it if we can avoid the germans now. Let us live to die another day. Yes we've always hear the phrase "you must beat the best to be the best". Yes avoiding them now is not an act of cowardice. I don't really see a problem with this, this is just a perfect and effective strategy. We can still play the germans later when we are truly back at 100%. Yes we defeated the Koreans but anyone that truly watched the match with an open mind will know that we are not there yet. And remember Germany is not Korea, Korea only had 1 shot on target. Just 1 shot on target. We can't really measure our self with that ridiculous team. Hungary will be the perfect test but I pray we both settle for draw.

But will our players really play for draw, I doubt that. We may whitewash the hungry-looking boys from Hungary.

I really wonder why folks here are screaming and calling for Iheanacho's inclusion. Please take some minutes to go over our game vs Brazil and you'd see that he was not doing any marking at all!

Kelechi Iheanacho is a very gifted plyer 9 no mistakes about that) but for Flying Eagles to win on the world stage, all the players have to dig in and graft!

I say this again, this starting 11 should have started against Brazil. They'd have set the work ethics tone for the flair players on the bench! If we had grafted against Brazil rather than playing "big man" football, we would have gotten at least a draw!

For those calling for changes ahead of game against Hungary, I say NO! Now that the guys are gaining their confidence back, don't change a winning team! I like the hunger in Isaac Success when he came on and I'd like Manu to keep it that way; at least for the next game.

As for Simon Moses, I see him as our impact player in this tournament. He should get some playing time against Hungary and then go full blast in the knockout stages!

Lastly, Nigerian fans are so fickle in their love and support. A team that has not lost in years and has brought several moments of glory to our dear country is suddenly a bad team after a world cup loss to, wait for it, BRAZIL! Na wah for una o!

I believe in this team!

#soarFlyingEagles
Isaac on the bench ke? So you would prefer ur most lethal striker to always sit on the bench and always come-in in the last 10-15mins. Is like you've forgotten dat we won't be playing weak teams like Korea again.
So temme as a coach you'd prefer to bench Costa and make him a super sub because of his hunger for goals and his alertness to scoring. Or maybe CR7 since he is a goal machine, he will definitely be a good super sub.

We can't really our strength after today's game, korea was just the perfect team needed to boost our morale and confidence. Hungary will be the perfect test before our germany game(yes we will play germany because we will surely hungary).

We need to score goals on sunday and we also need to defend well, enough of tragic defensive errors.
Sports › Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Badosqi(m): 1:10pm On Jun 04, 2015
Awoniyi is a striker and his most important job is to convert as many chances as possible. We need clinical strikers in front of goals. Scoring 4 against korea dpr should not be a big deal, they are not in the same class with our boys.

We created lots of chances but our converting rate is not there yet. Against teams like germany we may not have that luxury of chances and this is where we must score/convert the few chances we get.

Hoffeinham U23 coach said the same thing after our game with his team. Awoniyi is a number 9 and his job is to score goals not basically to assist(well he's free to assist along as he is scoring goals and Isaac Success is not bench for him.

Please is it healthy for the team to be changing line up like pant and bra?. Brazil different line up, same with korean game and I am sure we will see another line up against hungary.

My own is dat the team must revert back to the team that conquered UAE 2 years ago, I love to see their playing style again. Mass attack, mass defense plus tiki taka style of play. Not that annoying long ball strategy in the second half against Brazil.

We all know that that useless long ball style is synonymous to our super eagles. We need our midfield again, time to feel that free flowing football style again.

Sports › Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Badosqi(m): 11:42am On Jun 02, 2015
That argentina team is shitty, overhype team. How did they even win the south america championship. They may not even reach the next round. This is one of their weakest team in U-20 in recent years.

Great one from ghana!
Sports › Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Badosqi(m): 10:56am On Jun 02, 2015
Plastic fans everywhere!! Can't believe d way some people support this team. Just 1 loss and the criticism has started, some even writing the team off. Is dat not too fast!!! Anyone that watch the first half against Brazil will know what the team can do.

Thing will definitely change after our Korean. That is just the perfect match for the boys to get their confidence and morale back. But I really pity the korean boys because this is the wrong time for them to meet the wounded *LionS*. The plastic fans will start hailing the team again after the korean game.
Sports › Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Badosqi(m): 9:57am On Jun 01, 2015
I think the second goal was the goal that really destabilised our boys and not the first goal.

The first goal was more of a blessing. Remember Brazil was all over us in the first 5 mins. They kept on attacking us with massive attack, they scored around 7mins and that was it. Our boys took over, we started our own balling. Hit the post, scored 2 quick goals continued attacking but we wasted lots of chances too.

Brazil scored their second goal immediately after we failed to score our third goal(awoniyi) and that was it, it changed the complete tempo of the game. That second goal demoralise our team, it was against the run of play and we all brazil to dictate the game from there.

Second half was a complete disaster, brazil kept on possessing, dictating game, definding and attacking us. We were completely outplayed.. Our attacking line did not see ball for most of the second. I SWEAR I CAN COUNT THE NUMBER OF TIMES, THE CAMERAMAN CAPTURE THE BRAZILIAN GOALIE.

But my own question is where is that tiki-taka football that the team is known for?. All we did throughout that second half was stringing long balls after long balls while brazil kept on attacking us with our tiki taka style.

Thank God this is the first. Now we are back to reality, no more disneyland fairytale.
U20 world cup na another level entirely. Mehn, this brazilians that were supposed to be weak completely outclassed and outplayed us in the second half. No response at all from our team. Keeper contributed a lot to this defeat.

The brazilians really surprised me. I have read so many predictions but these guys showed us why they are 5 times champion.

But no shaking. We must win our next 2 matches and we are back on track.

Coach should bring in substitutes now. It is obvious these guys can't stand the brazilians again. We need fresh legs.

Osun workers are on strike, Osbc the most likely team to show the match in Osun is on strike too.
What a bad time for all these to happen. Yet light here dey gidigba. More than 48hrs of light without a single blink(even when it was rainy today sef). Light dey, match no sure!
