When will this 'stability' be reflected in the cost of living and general wellbeing of the people of Nigeria? |
Because of the doctrine of separation of powers, the argument whether the Judiciary can interfere with the internal proceedings of the Senate will take a century to debate. The right of the suspended senator ends where the rights of other of her colleague senators begin, and the basis of the Senate decision is that the suspended Senator had contravened the rules of the Senate both by refusing to SIT on the SEAT allocated to her, and for bringing the Senate into disgrace. By unanimous vote, she has been suspended from the Senate. It seems now that no matter the level of intervention, it will take the Senate to reinstate her if at all that will happen even after the 6 months. |
Impeachment that doesn't follow due process must NEVER be allowed to stand for the danger of setting a bad precedent that it portends. |
The argument that the suspension is unfair is not tenable. We have already heard her stories on the TV interview she made. She also has written down what she perceives to be injustice against her person, but all of these doesn't justify her action of refusing to SIT at the SEAT allocated to her by the leadership of the Senate which she is(was) under. |
Like I already said in a previous thread, the issue of whether or not the 27 members defected will be very difficult (if not impossible) to prove because the basis of proving whether those members actually defected lies in the hands of the new party in which they were said to have defected into. The Supreme Court in all finality has laid the matter to rest! |
Why wasn't this done for the hike in electricity tariff and phone bills tariff? |
collins2good:Lol. I understand it from that angle now. |
GeneralDae:What I wrote down here is not something that I just invented. It is a statement of fact based on historical record that is available to everyone who wishes to find out to see. Dangote refinery began production of gasoline in September 2024, while NNPC through it's PortHarcourt refinery began production in November 2024. This is what happened. My question is, why did the NNPC have to wait until after Dangote's privately-owned refinery had started production before they began to do same? |
But, Why did the NNPC have to wait for many years until after Dangote had begun production in his privately-owned refinery before they (NNPC) began producing too? |
Invitation to war between who and who? |
Slight reduction in food prices is not enough grounds for sensationally calling it 'CRASH'. |
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. |
Gradually, it is being unravelled where this whole sensational issue has been fanned from! |
WhatsApp killed Skype. And buried it! |
MikoB:Let me try to aid your understanding about the dynamics of power in case you find yourself in a similar position like the President. The fact that the actions of impeachment - from the plot to the actual removal from office - was carried out without his prior information suggests strongly that there is part of that playbook that was targeted AGAINST the President's interest. It is in the best interest of the President to first ensure that things be returned status quo ante thereby giving him enough time to determine what the fundamental issues concerning the power play was, before deciding which party to relinquish of power or not to. |
These hikes in the prices of goods and services including that of the telecommunications tariff can all be traced to the hike in fuel price in the country and it's concurrent exponential increase in the price of energy required to power the infrastructure that provides these services in the country. |
There's a difference between Seyi Vibez's sound now after leaving the record label and his sound then while he was still being managed by them. Maybe it is because this album wasn't produced by Yo Dips! but there is certain vibe with his old creative works that he must be careful and work harder not to lose. |
Why not just remove the tattoo completely? |
The question of whether or not the lawmakers defected would be extremely difficult to prove in court since the only basis for which they can be said to have defected lies in the hands of the party in which they were said to have defected into! |
What a tasteless article! |
Who wrote this distasteful and utterly provoking article? Where was it said that cost of living crisis has been eased? Is this just wishful-thinking put on paper and published to manage public perception? |
'NCC buckled'? With a reduction of just 15%? Although it is still progress, but the percentage reduction is too insignificant for the word 'buckled' to be used in describing the slight shifting of grounds that the NCC has just done for NLC. |
Nigeria; a land where we have to buy our own money! |
eddychukwu:Her comment is about a serious issue of life and death. A woman, just like a man, can be right logically speaking! In this case, the person with the superior argument on how best the health situation should have been handled is the wife, not her late husband. Cancer is best managed medically first, while prayers and other faith-based activities, though important, serve to give emotional and therapeutic support. |
If at all this story is true, the man's greatest mistake was thinking that a woman who had already chosen to be pregnant for a certain already married man would get over the married man who impregnated her and come to choose him (the new guy) over the impregnator. Her first loyalty will always be for the one she first chose to get pregnant for. It doesn't matter whether he treats her like trash, or kicks her to the curb a thousand times. Deep down, her greatest wish is to be wanted by the man whom she was desperate enough to get pregnant for without any commitment whatsoever. The woman KNOWS that she has already given her best worth away to the impregnator. It is that married man that she desperately desires! Any other man that comes in her way is only coming to play second feeder - a disposable and easily dispensable position. The new man is only seen as one who is just holding place to keep her company and soothe her emotions for the time being pending whenever the man of her utmost desire (her impregnator) wants her back. |
What quantum of wickedness is this? Despicable sorcery and heartlessness at its peak! Some people's consciences are actually dead whenever huge money is involved, but to try to steal this kind of amount of money depriving the singer of her sweat and labour is just demonic. Let them get that manager by all means necessary! |
Is the doctor still alive? Such a life should not go to waste over the madness of criminals. |
merits:Your comment that Forex is like gambling is a strong point. It is apt and instructive, but you saying that the man should carry his cross does not reflect the message on your signature at all. Anybody can fall a victim to fraud. |
A better response would be to state the actual percentage completion. |
This is rubbish. This policy is unconstitutional, illegal, and should be contested against in court. |
This seems to me now as a case of Libya trying to pull Nigeria down to the bottom of the pit that they have found themselves in. |
LibertyRep:On what basis do you assert that it would have been a disaster? |
