What crime exactly did he commit? Putting my question a bit more explanatorily, In what way was he manipulating the Naira precisely as alleged by the claimant? |
The two things that I find contradictory in this statement is that he says that: 1. He was in the US illegally yet admitting that he 'came' on student visa at the same time. 2. That since he was working, that he wasn't in school. Is he trying to argue that those who are in school are not allowed by law to work? Can anyone with more knowledge about the matter please clarify why working in this case or any case whatsoever could be seen as violation of the law? |
If the Abia State Rural Access Road Agency is so important now, let the State Government allow the different Autonomous Local Governments' Legislature to deliberate on the matter and decide whether or not they wish to pass it into law for each of the State's individual Local Governments. |
This is the second article that 'Daily Trust' has published disparaging the Senate President HE Godswill Akpabio in just about one week. In the first one, Daily Trust alleged that Akpabio urged Nigerians to eat free food anywhere they see same but on fact-checking, it turned out to be a piece of misinformation culled from an invitation that Akpabio had made to his colleague-Senators urging the Senators not to miss a banquet that was organised for them sometime ago in 2023. Up till now, Daily Trust is yet to take responsibility for that unfair, inciting, and misleading reportage. Instead, Daily Trust has come up yet again with another comprehensively compiled list of what Daily Trust considers as Akpabio's only misgivings while leading the Senate. One would appreciate it if this news agency in their next publication could come up with a more balanced reportage of the activities of the Akpabio-led Senate to include some achievements as well, instead of compiling only statements that could easily be misconstrued to stir controversies. |

Whose responsibility was it to ensure that Libyans landed their plane rightly in Uyo and not in Portharcourt like they eventually did? This is the root cause of the misunderstanding that is eroding the diplomatic ties between the two nations. That said, the Libyan authorities erred by deliberately endangering the lives of members of the Nigerian delegation to their country through the masterminding of a last minute rerouting of the aircraft conveying Nigerians to an airport different from their original flight plan. Also, the Libyan authorities committed further gross misconduct by subjecting Nigerians to an artificial hostage situation at that airport, deliberately exposing the Super Eagles to inhumane treatment, public ridicule, and abuse. |

Now that it has just been revealed that this video is from 2023, can the OP who created this thread and the moderator who pushed it to front-page both take responsibility for misleading millions of nairalanders + guests? |
It has just been revealed that this video was recorded in 2023. How come Daily Trust now picked it up at this time and decided to make a report about it in October 2024? This is targeted misinformation to say the least. |

The reason given here is still not justifiable. In an effort to discourage the people from taking dead bodies to the mortuary, the State Government in this case is imposing more tax upon the bereaved, not minding the fact that one of the reasons for embalmment of dead bodies in the first place is due to lack of money (financial insurance) at the instance of unexpected deaths in the country, which warrants the need to preserve the remains in the mortuary in order to give the bereaved some time to raise money for funerals. Levying the embalming process is not only counterproductive but a callous means of adding extra burden to the grief of those related to dying citizens by the State Government. |

Desusi: ![]() It's either that or you may be shocked to find out that he didn't even read the news at all but hurried to comment 'RIP' instead. |
vanbonattel:It seems that from the news report here, the victim is still alive! |
This headline is misleading. |
Give it a long time. You will get over each other, that's for sure! |
kernniejay:Your judgement seems fairly accurate. |
If this guy never blow for him level like this make I know why |
Choose either one and bear the consequence whatever the case. |
Your decision to rent a house for your late wife's first daughter shows that you are a kind hearted person. God bless you. However, you need to assist the girl to get in touch with her biological father in order for her to regain her self-confidence and heal from the trauma that came from identity crisis that she likely experienced when the truth was revealed to her. |
There is a glitch in her optimisation. |
lexy2014:It seems you are bent on not seeing the 'how' that you have been asking of, even when it is being explained to you over and over again. Are you trying to insinuate otherwise? What is your point? |
lexy2014:My last statement in my response to you is my answer to your question. Stashing up cash instead of reinvesting it in the economy is one of the contributing factors of hyper inflation because that same money if deployed for projects can drive economic growth, and depending on the type of investment, investing it can contribute in some measure to the growth of our nation's GDP. |
lexy2014:Except for the purpose of savings for later investment. It is wrong for anybody to store up money without using it when there are so many investment-worthy projects that one could deploy same money into in order to solve society's problems. It is a bit manageable if one saves his/her money in the bank in such a way that the money can be used by the bank and accrued interest will accumulate to make the money yield some returns. But storing it up without using it is morally reprehensible and even wicked to say the least. In the long run, if everyone stashed up all their monies, the long term implication on our national liquidity would be hyper inflation. Thank you. |
What preposterously barbaric thing am I reading like this? Isolate your son and teach him kindly that what happened to him was not normal but an abuse, an abomination, and an incestous abnormality. Show him love and care and encourage him to always speak up against abuse of any kind regardless of wherever or whoever it comes from. And get the other wicked 19-year old criminal to face the consequences of his crimes. |
Kobojunkie:You are not only wrong but stupidly judgemental. Learn to have conversations with people without jumping into unnecessary conclusions. This matter, though a matter of law, is a family matter until brought before a court of competent jurisdiction. What does the OP intend to achieve by posting a screenshot of his Father's SMS for the whole world to read? Is this forum his village council? |
From what research method did FDC arrive at this conclusion? Hoarding of currency may not be the only reason for inflation but it is DEFINITELY ONE of the numerous interrelated but multifaceted reasons. Addressing one of the reasons is better than not addressing any at all. Thank you. |
One of your greatest regrets later in life will be taking your family matters to the public to be deliberated upon by all and sundry. |
Caution the boy, but DO NOT take laws into your hands. Get yourself something productive doing, with your energy and time. |
To be very candid with you, YOU have done well. God bless you. |
