Nowenuse: Lokoja LGA is basically made up of Bassa nge, Egbira koto, Nupe speaking Kakanda people and the yoruba speaking Oworo people. Also, as the capital Of Kogi state, many Okun people from other parts of Kogi west have come to settle in Lokoja. Lokoja is also in Kogi west together with all the other yoruba speaking Okun communities. So i don't really get you.
About Ilorin, yes, fewer of them claim to be fulanis while a good number of them are somehow confused and don't know what to claim or say and just stick with identity ILORIN. If u ask them their tribe, they will reply I AM FROM ILORIN. However, the richest and influential Ilorin families like the Sarakis, Belgores, Alimis, Bellos e.t.c never claim Yoruba. They either claim Ilorin or fulani or Arewa. I know Ilorin people very well, some claim yoruba, some claim fulani, some are confused which to claim, some claim both fulani and yoruba interchangeably at convenience, some claim Nupe. I have come across each from these categories and i have even seen where they argue amongst themselves on where to stand. I said Lokoja indigenes are not Okun/Yoruba. FYI, I have part-Okun ancestry. No Okun person will ever deny being Yoruba! As regards Ilorin, we all know the history; there'll always be Fulani elements among them. The real Yorubas will never deny their ancestry. Saraki is special case because his great grandfather was from the SW. |

Nowenuse: I have met many Okun people who deny being yorubas. They are all over Lokoja. What about Ilorin people who claim that they are fulanis but speak only yoruba? Lokoja people are not Yorubas! Only very few Ilorin people claim to be Fulanis!! |

Thank God he is alive. But is he physically, mentally and medically fit to carry on as president I dont think so! I'd rather he just stayed back in UK and allow Osinbajo to rule or better still resign. |

He is tired of ruling the country as it has overwhelmed him... If you, BBC, can be asking me in Nigeria where Buhari is, then something is wrong somewhere... |

TheLawTheLegal: The same way it pains me to hear Igbo names like Chibuike Amaechi, Peter Odili, Elechi Amadi, Chinda Dike, Ifeanyi Okowa and people classify them as none Igbos because of the useless country that is poised in dividing and ruling us. It's not the same thing. For whatever reason, it's the bearers of those names themselves that claim they are not Igbo. However, northern Yorubas have never denied their Yoruba ancestry/heritage. All they are agitating for now is to be joined to the SW. Got it |

Malawian: real power lies in the barrels of a gun. Osinbajo is not in control of the military, he does not have any power right now. he is just a mere commissioner, you can continue to delude yourself. why not ask Ogundipe how he magically appeared in London, even without ever buying any plane tickets. Dont be a dullard! Osinbajo was validly elected under the constitution. Ogundipe was never elected. The CDS is Yoruba. The scenarios are different as Osinbajo is already Ag. President. |

Malawian: Osinbajo does not have any real power as of now. he is still a commissioner. even Buratai can give him a commissioning job, and the ode will rush out with glee to commission it. Yet, he does have some power now. As time goes on, his power will increase. We cant wait for PMB indefinitely. Buratai would rather do everything to be in his good books. Just last leek, Osinbajo charged the military to shun divisive tendencies. Remember, the CDS is Yoruba... |

What many of you dont know is that Mimiko had already cut a pre-election deal with Akeredolu. Mimiko backed Akeredolu to emerge as APC candidate. Mimiko is behind both Akeredolu and Jegede. It's a win-win for him. Now, he'll just be somewhere laughing at you guys. |

Largas: The North will keep using and dumping all Yoruba leaders. Ask Afonja, your great ancestor, ask Awolowo the one that drank poison and committed suicide, ask Abiola he also drank poison from North when he was in prison, ask Kudirat Abiola, North assasinated her and nothing happened, ask Tinubu, he will soon be arrested by EFCC, he better go pleads and kneels to Oyegun before DSS comes to Burdillion, a word is enough for the wise. You looonatics from the yEast aka yEasterners wont fail to amaze me. 1. Afonja - He rebelled against the Oyo empire and got the support of the Fulanis to give Ilorin independence from Oyo empire. He deserves what he got. Only original Ilorin indigenes are the Afonjas. 2. Awolowo - He died at 78 after a domestic accident. Pictures of his toothbrush with toothpaste on it and bathroom slippers are still available. Abi does anyone drink rat poison early in the morning just when he is about to shower? 3. Abiola was killed by the US/CIA so that Nigeria's political impasse could be resolved once and for all. Even then, his jailer, Abacha, the Head of State, had to die a month earlier... 4. Kudirat was assassinated by unknown gunmen. They were later found to be govt agents. Hamza Al Mustapha after having spent 17 years in detention for masterminding the killing is still not totally a free man. He could still be sentenced to death someday. When will you yEasterners stop being pathetic |
