Nairaland GeneralRe: My Ordeal With Nigeria Immigration Officers by balash(m): 11:44am On Dec 30, 2014
Lol, I had this experience some years back when I was coming from cameroon I misplaced my passport, inshort my whole bag was stolen in the train when I had this fun vacation in cameroon, I sha used my nigerian smartness and clues to get pass lotta immigrations into borno finally and breath an air of relief that am home no issue with immigration again and board a bus to kano.

The driver kept asking me in this tattared hausa english about my passport I just look at him with this weird eyes like 'abi this one dey craze ni,my passport to enter bus in nigeria' I just kept mute and sat in the front with him.

When we almost left borno there was road block and immigration officers waved us and came to the bus and start asking for passport some cameroonian guys were in d bus and some presented and some dint! I looked the other way and saw loads of very dark guys sitted on the floor surely they maybe niger/cameroonian etc guys trying to get into nigeria.

The guy came to me and asked for my passport I said I dnt have he said I should come down and walk to the other side where those guys sat and tell the boss I dnt have passport, immedietely I got there the man said I should sit with the guys I immedietely replied 'when am not mad,sit down on the floor with foreigner' he was like if I give u dirty slap u will sit there I replied boldly 'if I give me 1 slap I swear to God I will give u 99' ... That was when they all stood up and start trying to form forcing me,I held one on his neck tightly and he shouted till there boss came and asked them to send me insyd his office and tried asking me questions about nigeria and lagos to ascertain if truly I was nigerian and when I even spoke yoruba he said some cameroonian understands yoruba than me sef lol.. And he asked me some areas in lagos and how to get there and I gave detailed description and he said okay I can go and said he knew I was nigeria the fact that I fought the officers when they tried treating me like foreigners lol...

When u know your right stay your ground. If I passed that area in kano I won't pay 1 kobo infact I wee organise my own checkpoint sef for the side because I know people like u will still passby! Money Must be Made #Maga Must Pay Lmao
RomanceRe: Please What Do You Think I Should Do Leave Or Continue? by balash(m): 4:35am On Dec 30, 2014
Hmmmm my dear Love is sweet as well as bitter, the relationship is still so young first! Its just a year so relatively u should be ready to see more, U never made mention of anything weird about him except he is a serial night walker and a hard smoker but less drinker.

I can't easily judge the dude on that because am also a night walker once in a while,I go to shows and occasionally a clubber but I have never smoked and as well in like 15yrs have never had a drop of alcohol on my tongue since I followed some peers group and tried asking to know what alcohol tastes like and still puked when I saw how bitter is it and couldn't fathom any fun there. So I can't really judge someone who is a night walker bcox I do too but mine is like once or twice in a month but since I don't drink or smoke or pick hooties to satisfy my urges(some yoruba lines be like if u don't smoke or drink u wuld womanise,I dnt smoke or drink and I have never picked or had anything with a prostitute so)

To the point! If u really love this guy and u believe he aint a bad person let him feel what he is doing in practical, when u wanna go out and all dressed up immedietely he gets on the wheel just get into the back seat and sit at the owners corner, when he ask why, tell him u don't want him to send u to the back seat when u see a friend of his so u opted to stay there incase u see a friend be adamant and say if he doesn't allow u stay there then no going out.

First hurdles crossed! Then when u go out together and he smokes! Just dip your hand in his pocket for his cigarette or pick from his table and walk to the bathroom, light it and make sure the smel relatively stays on u that implies maybe u just finished smoking or when u wanna pick up the cigarette and he stops u just tell him u wanna go smoke bbut u love smoking indoor instead! Then when he try talking about you smoking and sitting at the back let him know whatever he feels as bad on u doing it? U feel that too and if that brews issues on breakup, dearie I understand u love him but u can't afford to stay hurt for the rest of you life when u marry him, guys like this do worst in marriage! Walk out if he still doesn't change..

If Muhammad was a favourite of the Lord, why should all his children die in his lifetime? It is a curse to live after one's children.
Why won't he be favourite when he was known as the prophet and he lost all his children in his lifetime which implies his lineage is ended and he still stood firm with his faith? How many human can be that faithfulhuh

I face exactly the same problem. Where i don't see alot of Muslim men
And unlike churches where singles are giving opportunities to meet themselves. It doesn't happen here and when you go to mosque to pray after prayers everyone goes thier separate ways.

I think Muslim community are not doing enough for us to find Muslim partners. But there are so many Muslim online sites which i don't consider the right means for me.

I meet christian men who fit in my category but rarely meet Muslim men..
I was once introduced to a Muslim brother but i decided to give it a go

The question he asked me mde me angry. He rang me and first question was my age which i was reluctant to tell him but told him
I felt it should not be the sort of questions to ask
The first time we ever spoke

then he later told me he was in the university for 10years in Nigeria.he came out with no degree.he then travelled to Malaysia to start all over Which i thought was very good of him
But as time went by he didn't seem like he had enough drive and was not enlightened about many things I expect someone of his age to know.He likes to watch movies and does not really develop himself. The sort of questions he asks leaves me wondering if he is the sort of man I wanted. I letter friend zoned him
So please brothers up your game.
Why did u result in friend zoning him instead of just opening up clearly to him about what u want and all and ur exact qualities in a man, u just said he watches movies and doesn't want to upgrade in his deen and all but if we get to meet him and ask whatsup about u from him have u ever resulted in thinking he might say u have a kiddish attitude(no insult meant).

Because if a guy ask about your age after u both get talking then he surely saw some meaning to your words! So place yourself in his shoes, a guy who schooled 10yrs in nigerian educational sector would always wise up and be smart so if ur feeling is he watches movie and doesn't want to learn new things? Why do u believe he asked your age too? Just maybe u watch movies too and doesn't wanna wise up though! (No insult meant whatsoever)

Point of correction: Jesus is not a prophet of allah. Going by muslim creed, ''there is no God save allah and Muhammad is his prophet''. The only prophet allah has is Muhammad.

To you. asking questions or making observations amount to hatred for islam?

You have said nothing to defend the op from your thorough research.
Jesus, moses, solomon,David etc are all the prophet of Allah including Muhammed(pbuh) he just was a favourite of the lord,he had loads of temptation to say weird things to the love and his patience was tested a lot but he was firm in his faith, do u know all his children died in his lifetime? Etc

All this half baked researcher just love trouble everyday of your life between muslim and christian beliefs, Are u never tired of revealling your hatred for muslim and the Prophet(pbuh)

If I start research for you in the bible which contradict a lot about Jesus and Christians u will run but no I won't because we muslim belief so much about Jesus been the prophet of Allah and we respect his beliefs and teachings which some of your christians fore fathers have twisted a lot to favour your church business.

God bless The Prophet Muhammed (pbuh)

God bless The Prophet Isa (Jesus)

We All are just servants of the living God! May he forgive us our everyday sins

Why can u always move into a bigger place! Allah doesn't permit everyone been wealthy in this world! Staying 20yrs with him and he still has every qualities, treats u well but he is still in his one room apartment with an average income would u still love him the way u loved him when u first started

Seriously?!! What do you call romance?! You guys are so clueless. And you sir, seem to be on the 'read even if you don't get' category.
While the ladies are there learning all about kamasutra, you guys are there doing 'king of the jungle'.
Physical attractions matters a lot. How would I even marry you if I'm not attracted to you. Call us vain, but if it's within the limits, cute brothers have an edge over those unkempt ones.
You walk around with ill-fitted caps, non-tendered beards, tight fitting shirts, dusty feet.
To many of our brothers, charms and hygiene are not important. The believe is that because they are vast in Islam, that should make them eligible enough. Fa! Fa! Foul!!! No lady wanna take a brother home to daddy looking all funny.
We all want a guy that speaks well, carried himself well, knows what to say as at when necessary. Not some judgmental man with bad manners but wants you to be gentle with him, respect his feelings.
Even if he knows the Deen and all that, if I am not attracted to him. Sorry! That's what I see first, and not how educated or vast he is.
A guy with all the qualities u just mentioned with an average income and a one room apartment can u still take him home

Contrary to single muslims ladies, As a man I don't think ladies are crazy or expecting too much, however I would be curious to know What she is willing to bring to the table.

I mean you had better be working on those things in your own life if you expect to find them in a partner

IslamRe: Nairaland Islam Section Debate (NISD) by balash(m): 11:02am On Dec 26, 2014
Salam Alaykum

The world we have today, a lot has changed. We have a lot of female muslims having late marriages or finding it difficult to get married at all. There are certain factors that come in place with this issue. They include; physical, economic, environmental factors as well as health factor.
In an advancing world, there is an advancement in learning and education, parents have come to put a priority on it that children must be learned before they can get married; this is a major cause of single muslim abounding everywhere.
Then after the educational factor comes the factor of getting a job (if he doesn't have a good job, I can't get married to him). Also, females don't want the society to see them as the one who got married early to a guy without a great job due to stigmatization.
In terms of environmental factor, the environment we live in, if there is no pressure around to marry or have kids, the probability of females settling down is minute, she will continue to live her lives like other members of their society.
The health factor; an infirm individual might have a delay getting married due to fear and stigmatisation.
Then comes the physical factor, this stems on females Their minds have been programmed these days that there are certain qualities they want in a man due to westernization and they always consider religion as the last. They want the men to be handsome, caring, loving, has good characters and a job in Chevron and can take care of them that if they find a man that has these qualities but he is not what we want physically, they reject his proposal.
And if in the end, they find someone who has these qualities, they hold onto them for a long period of time till they are ready to get married and in the end, they may end up not marrying each other.
And if we end up not finding that person, we continue to hunt and hunt till it is too late.if you are trying to get married, follow your heart but don't forget your brain.

Immedietely I crossed the red light and a very big pothole forced me slowing down, this two hefty guys came from no were and stood infront of my car I drifted into reverse straight but I couldn't drive back into a big pothole so I just succumbed that I have been robbed so I waited for the guys to come ask for my valuables.

Lo and behold the first one came to the window and politely asked me to wynedown,I did and he dropped the bombshell.Oga why did you crossed the red light? U know its risky if not say we see u as a cute looking guy we for carry u go our office, your fine is 5k.
