Do you know that Dr Otti is on record as the first governor in Igboland to invite Julius Berger to handle projects in his state?

No he is not!
Orji uzor did
Silvian chime of Enugu did
Infact Julius Berger has always been a regular customer to people of South East
Imo and enugu in particular
But this is like the second time Abia is using them

I love they way the are using quality contractors
Julius Berger, caneburg, China civil engineering company (CCEC)
Good quality unlike state where they're using umunna and co construction limited šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£

There's ongoing 38km 6 lane construction Owerrinta-umuika-umuene, there's ongoing 12 kilometres 6 lane construction from umuimo to okpara square umuahia, there's ongoing 7km 6 lane construction at port Harcourt road, there's ongoing construction of 19.4km road at okai item, together with construction of inner street roads within Aba and umuahia (i.e ehi road, Ndoki, omuma road dualization, Eberi omuma road e.t.c with a big underground water tunnel along university road osisioma to connect inner street drainage from osisioma to the Aba river),
Obioha one of the longest road in Aba connecting Ndoki communities both in Aba and rivers state

This road will serve as an alternative route to absu (Abia state university uturu), however the absu main road (okgiwe- Afikpo) road is currently undergoing dualization

The Abia state governor
Dr Alex chioma otti flags off the construction of additional 11km in Abia North the governor posted on social media:

Yesterday was a historic day for the good people of Isuikwuato as we celebrated the flag-off of the 11.5-km Nunya-Eluama-Ogboro Road project. The project will be executed by the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) and we have their assurances that it will be completed within twelve (12) months. This venture is a pathway for connecting communities and fostering economic growth and prosperity.

Our vision for Abia State is clear: to create a safe, secure, and prosperous environment for all. The New Abia Project is our social contract with Abians, focusing on public infrastructure that attracts investment and generates employment.

For our diligent farmers and vendors, this road heralds an era of development and advancement. In about a year, the ease of transporting goods will boost trade and provide better returns on their labour. The road will boost man-hours and also reduce travel time for those driving from the Port Harcourt/Aba/Owerri axis through Akara, Alayi, and other neighbouring communities who may not want to use the Umuahia-Uzuakoli route.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Engr. Don Otumchere Oti, our Commissioner for Works, and his team. Their relentless efforts in steering our infrastructure projects are invaluable. Special thanks to Air Vice Marshall Chiwendu Onyike (Mayor of Isuikwuato L.G.A), Lt. General Azubuike O. Ihejirika (Rtd) and other great sons and daughters of Isuikwuato who turned up for the event. Together, we are ensuring that every project, including the Eluama-Nunya Road, meets our high standards and serves the best interests of Abians.

Remember, each one of us plays a crucial role in the New Abia Project. By fulfilling our civic duties, like paying taxes, we fuel the progress of our state. Your contributions are the engine of our development, and I assure you that they will be managed with the utmost integrity.

Let us continue to work hand in hand, by building the Abia of our dreams. #NewAbiaProject

All parts of Abia is covered! Abia North is the only part of that ABIA that didn't get construction of multiple six lanes that is going on in other parts of Abia, so it is understandable to compensate them with 2 lanes and long kilometres, remember there sons and daughters like Nigeria former vice president Ebitu ukiwe and former military governor of Lagos
Fought for the creation of Abia state,

Doctor alex otti yesterday flagged off the construction of another 30km road in Abia North
He posted on X formerly known as twitter below

Today marks another watershed as we flag off the reconstruction of the 30km Arochukwu-Ndi Okereke-Ozuabam Road. This project, along with the Umuahia-Uzuakoli-Ohafia Road, is a testament to our commitment to removing barriers that hinder our people's potential and economic prosperity.

We are not just building roads; we are paving pathways to a brighter future for our dear state. By connecting our agricultural heartlands to urban markets, we are ensuring that our farmers' hard work pays off and that our youth have ample employment opportunities.

Quality and longevity are at the forefront of these projects. We have engaged top-notch contractors to ensure these roads stand the test of time, reflecting the value of every taxpayer's kobo.

In about 18 months, the Arochukwu-Ndi Okereke-Ozuabam Road will breathe new life into our local economies, inviting investment and growth. It is more than infrastructure; it is about nurturing the social fabric of our communities and encouraging our diaspora to reconnect with their roots.

Together, we are driving towards a New Abia, where progress and development will touch every corner of our state.

I think he was partly referring to the invaluable help the Catholic Church rendered in Alaigbo during and in the immediate aftermath of the civil war.

That being said, there's truth in your own assertion about the presence and historical influence of the Anglican, Methodist and Adventist Churches in present day Abia, Rivers and parts of Imo states. My maternal side from Azumini are Anglicans and the Anglican Church has more of a presence and influence in those parts than the Catholic Church has.

Am from Aguta, but I didn't grew in Anambra
You are right, Catholic is majorly an Anambra thing It's our pride, other Igbos are not that into Catholic
