agaugust: Thanks. Also post pic of Ghana Super Tucano when the aircraft arrive from Brazil. Are we expecting tanks in Ghana this year? President Mahama urges Military to work towards counter terrorism
-He said a 300-million dollar facility had been secured to procure modern military armaments including, Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), tanks, operational vehicles, helicopters and other aircrafts, to bring the GAF’s UN peacekeeping equipment up to date. -President Mahama also announced that the military would, this year, take delivery of Z-9 helicopters from China -- adding personnel from the Air Force have already undergone training in China in that regard. -The only equipment that have not arrive yet is the Super Tucano aircraft, by the way there is no details as to which country we will be procuring the tanks from. |

agaugust: Ghana has 24 units of Chinese WZ-523/type-05 IFV with 25mm cannon plus their 50 units of Typhoon MRAP. Wonder why the WZ 25mm gun looks like a Bushmaster instead of Type 87 looks. Can the Ghanaian guys explain their confusing IFV gun? Also, are these women combatants? Why are they in black not army green? We have the Chinese WZ-523 but the vehicle in the picture is a mowag vehicles. As for the black uniform, I do not know why but it probably vehicle operators that wears it. I have also seen specialize unit wear it to. |

Henry240: Ghana does not have the technical expertise or base to develop or enrich nuclear materials. Quit the day dreaming. Enrich nuclear materials.- YES, BUT NUCLEAR BOMB WHY WILL WE EVEN WANT A BOMB AT THIS TIME WHEN THE POWERS THAT BE HAVE A WATCHFUL EYE FOR COUNTRIES TRYING TO BUILD NUCK BOMB. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_energy_in_GhanaThere are currently no nuclear power plants in Ghana, although there is one nuclear research reactor in Ghana as well as plans to build a power plant.[1] Ghana’s quest for nuclear power for electricity generation dates as far back as the early 1960’s In 2008, the Government of Ghana took a cabinet decision to add nuclear power to the energy mix of the country In 2010, Ghana added nuclear power to the national energy policy A nuclear power unit was then established at the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum in 2012 Ghana’s Nuclear Energy Programme Implementation Organisation(Ghana’s NEPIO) was inaugurated the same year(2012)
